I need some suggestions on what to take to keep my fat down. I still want to eat a lot, but i dont want to put on the fat. Should I just do more cardio instead, or something else?
i remember something i read recently that jay cutler said "i don't really worry to much about eating to much, if i want to tone up and lose fat i just add more cardio". here's the thing in a nut shell (adding to what RR said) maintence cals.is 2000, cals in (without exercise) 3000, result weight gain, fat not muscle. now maintence cals. 2000, cals in 3000(with exercise, lifting and or cardio) result lean muscle gain fat reduction. because we're burning more calories by doing exercise it should not be stored as fat, this of course depends on what your eating as well as when you eat it. you can not get your cals from pork rinds and ice cream and expect it to be the same as if you are eating chicken, veggis and whole wheat. so in reference to my JC quote.....what he's doing there is simply burning more cals by doing cardio
