Hoomgar, I'd like to apologize for my lameness (for lack of a better word) in not getting in my final review. I could put up some sob story, but that's not my style. No excuses, it should have been done by now. I will get this up ASAP.


On a good note: I submitted our brown belt thursday night. I'm ****ING ECSTATIC about it. Although he submitted me countless more times, it's still awesome. Brown belts are like half a step away from black belts. w00t!

I had to read that a couple of times before I understood what it meant. But that's pretty cool, means your getting better. Youre trainer still giving you the additional attention you thought was so cool?

A very important question. Now a days with the explosion of the "intra-workout' supplements we need to know which is the best if we plan on using them, right? In my experiences I have good things to say about both Xtend and Intra-Aid. My normal dose of Xtend for intra-workout usage is four scoops (per label instructions). My normal dose of Intra-Aid is one scoop per label instructions. At those dosages, I honestly felt that Xtend was more effective (for me) in overall inter-set and inter-exercise energy. However, it was not that much more effective and most might not be able to tell the difference.

But, when I upped my Intra-Aid dose to two scoops, it blew Xtend right out of the water. Truthfully, I have never experienced muscular endurance like that before. Taste
I recommend to use less water than suggested on the label. It seemed a bit watered down and slightly reminded me of old-school whey. Less water made it taste great. It often seemed like I was drinking something bad for me because it tasted so great. I felt faintly dirty at times for enjoying it so much.

Mixability
Great, enough said.

Price
Not bad, but I would like them to come out with a bigger tub to bring the price per serving down a little. I wouldn't mind having a 5 pound (or 10 for that matter) bag of Intra-Aid.

Ingredients
Great ingredient profile with very efficient ingredients. My only beef is with some of the ingredients (maltodextrin, Red #40, Blue #1). I, personally, try to stay away from maltodextrin as much as possible as my endomorphic body hates that stuff. I also try to stay away from all dyes for health reasons.


Beta Ala9
I liked this product, but I would only buy this product because it's capped and sometimes it is much more convenient. I am by no means saying it did not work. It did work and very well, but I only experienced a subtle boost of energy from the added ingredients in this product (citruline malate). It did exactly what I expected from a Beta Alanine product. It buffered lactic acid and helped with muscular as well as anaerobic endurance. So, if pills are what you like do get this product. I prefer bulk powders myself. Like I said, don't take it the wrong way this product works well and is slightly above par compared to other Beta Alanine products.


Torrent
Although I wasn't sponsored to log this, I had to. This is my favorite product I used this log. Tasted ****ING AWESOME! I won't go too much into details, but this was very effective post workout. I like this a lot. I will use this on all my bulks from now on. Good job Universal/Animal!

I agree, the taste is sooo damn good! I too feel guilty for enjoying it. The first day I got my tub I couldnt help but consume 3 scoops lol. I also agree, Id like to see more servings per tub/bag. Stuff has me impressed already and Im already wishing there were more servings!! This was a great log man! You are a stand up dood! :clap2:

In retrospect, my vacation killed me. I will never indulge like that again. If it means bringing my protein with me wherever I go, I shall do it.

The personal trainer said my measurements were "basically the same" although she didn't let me see them. She did remark that my legs (which were already lean) lost a significant amount of fat for already lean legs. I agree with her, and I think my legs grew pretty well too. I wish I would have taken before pictures with my legs showing.

Something must be up with her calipers though, because I am carrying much more fat now than I was then. You can totally see the endomorph in me in the after pictures.

I think I failed my self this log. :( No more cheating on vacations!
 
Ha, don't sweat a 3lb gain too much man - vacations do that to the best of us! Last one I had was my honeymoon; I left weighing 217 at 6-7% BF, came home 5 weeks later at 230 and 13% :jaw:

Tighten up the diet for that contest you got comin' up, (eat those yams :p ) and you'll drop BF%, I'm sure.
 
Oh yeah, I'm going super high protein and low carb with most of them being from veggies.

Yams arent that bad after all. I have no doubt I'll make weight.

That's the way to do it. Are you going to continue to use Torrent and/or IA?

I ran out of Torrent a while back and will not continue to use it as of now. But, I will definitely pick it up again this summer. Since I'm on a strict cut I'm keeping all my calories food based with the exception of some whey. I also ran out of IA and due to financial woes, I will have to also pick that up later. I'm currently just using left overs of stuff I bought before to hold me over.

Oh well, diet is the most important thing anyway.

Your fat is the same imo. The recomp is there you just really gotta look at it carefully bud. Look at the width difference bro
