I think a lot of us went through a supplement phase. I blew so many hundreds on supplements that really didn't contribute anything... I feel they mostly function by placebo effect. I wanted something that actually worked. Ended up here, lol.
last year my training partner actually went out and bought the "fight stack" from BSN...he said he heard it would make him an animal in the gym....suffice to say i immediately quit training with him and havent spoken to him since......loser

I still remember going to sport nutrition depot here in Canada 4 years or so back and laying down $500 on supplements, gainers, glutamine, creatine, zma, multi's, aminos, several types of proteins, bars etc :hypnotized:

last 2 days ive pinned in my delts, both times a little bit of oil leaked out....even after i left the pin in for a good 30 seconds after injection....gay.

anyway, felt like a beast in the gym today. back/bi's ...i did the entire stack on lat pulldowns for 4 reps :D. did 3 sets of bent over rows with my back completely parallel to the floor 3rd set @ 225lbs for 10 reps. ppl who do these with correct form know how freaking hard they are. but i definitely felt that it took away from my deadlift today :(

overall today workout was intense but i didnt feel like i hit back hard enough. so guys....throw me some back exercises u do that u feel really help out....whether it be for better width, thickness, strength etc...

You guys said it.

With the exception of hormonal products, I would have to say that protein, creatine, BCAAs, and caffeine are the only things that i really would say are worth the time, money, and trouble. I really like AP, but I wouldn't buy it if I was broke. Nothing like moving some heavy iron and a consuming a slab of dead cow to make you grow big.

Some of my favorite back exercises:

t-bar rows done with an actual barbell where you put a cable grip around one end and stick the other end in a corner with something on top of it. Can do a ton of weight and they feel great

heavy dumbell rows, i like to use the 130 pounders if they are available to me. Take the weight down JUST shy of the floor and bring the elbow up high and a slight twist of the upper back to work a spectrum of muscles across it. These feel great, it's amazing how much energy they take out of you

i usually do t-bar rows. one of my training partners hurt his back a whill ago and cant do them so i didnt think about those today...saem with bent over DB rows, but DB's only go to 110lbs :(

heavy db rows take a huge toll on me, i havent been doing them lately because im usually thinking i dont have enough in the tank to give them max effort. I should start next weeks back attack with pulldowns then straight to heavy 1 arm db rows. Ive been doing modified db rows tho, they are with the db more out to the side and higher, sorta like a db upright row but its bent over. I saw a vet doing this and tried it, hits the upper back and mid trap really nice (supersets)

dont worry about the oil bro its not that much anyway right?

what size pins are you using for delts? I use 1inchers and go all the way in before i start pushing the plunger in.

1 inch, 23 gauge, pin goes all the way in. because my prop and tren are different colors i can tell that its prop that is leaking out, not too much coming out though

i always mix them once in the syringe. Get an air bubble in there and tilt horizontally to mix, this isnt needed its just something i like to do. Damn just imagining it makes me want to shoot some sauce! :damnit:

must have nicked a vein today. halfway through the injection i got this tight chest/itchy throat feeling and had a coughing fit. wasnt too bad, but def freaked me out for a second. all is good now :D

leg day, f ucking INTENSE!! set a PR on squat 3 reps (ass to grass) with 345lbs. overall i did about 6-7 sets of squats...i just couldnt get enough.

weight is 205. im feeling a little tighter but my g'damn oblique and lower ab fat is driving me insane. helios should be here soon and i'll start them ASAP and see if theres any improvement

Well i wouldn't use it on every cycle as it is on the harsher side if you like it you should give the Tren enthante a try great to throw into a stack even at low doses.

shoulders today. db press 70x12, 85x10, 90x6.....felt awesome. got 585lbs again for 6 reps for shugs....it pisses me off because i had 2-3 more in me but my wrist straps were loosening :(

weight still @ 205 but im feeling bigger and stronger

barbell on a squat rack thing. 6 plates on each side. shrugs are my specialty!

hit arms today, AGAIN...another f ucking intense workout. felt huge and pumped.

all i have to say is HOT-DAMN! i wore a wifebeater to the gym today for the first time in over a year and i was looking swole as hell (not to toot my own horn). all i need is a tan and i'll be set...having a tan really brings out definition

hit back today. weight is constant 205 and wont budge no matter what or how much i eat :censored:

workout was decent but got interupted by a stupid fire drill. still nice and strong, i didnt really push hard today because the gym was so damn hot + the helios = feeling like dying.

hit chest today, nothing too impressive but got an awesome pump. i noticed that after the helios im starting to cramp if i flex the muscles i had just worked out. doesnt bother me, i expect it.

weight still at 205 damnit.

been stuffing my face 6-8 times a day and i still cant put weight on.....damn u tren!! lol

i should also add that im hesitant to add more carbs to my diet because ive never gone over about 300 carbs per day. i dont want to add more and just put on fat. i have meat in every single meal, i might just up the quantity. me getting/staying big is getting hard on the wallet....damnit!

yeah speaking of clothes, i cleaned out more than half my closet cause i cant fit into most shirts and polos anymore. i love size, but damn its expensive! hopefully i'l have a decent job once outta college

legs today. im proud to say i set another squat PR...i got 365 for 3 reps today...felt awesome.

weight was down 2lbs today even though these last 2-3 days ive been eating a ton of extra food :think:

...im hoping the helios are doing their job. not to mention since the weather has warmed up the gym is about 90 degrees and im sweating even more than usual

trained shoulders today, went by myself because my buddies had things to do and i didnt want to go late.

pulled 2 extra reps with 585 for shrugs, felt awesome....i probably could have gotten 2 more now that i think about it....damnit!

theres a free-weight cybex shoulder press machine (if that makes sense), i managed to get 310lb for 6 reps....i was amazed.


weight is at 203

back today. did 295 for 8 reps on lat pulldown, i only managed 4-6 last week. i usually dont do deadlifts off the floor but today i didnt have a choice, i pulled 405 for 3 reps at the end of my workout which i thought was pretty good.

weight is back to 205 :D
Right on nos! 205.. damn man. Getting pretty big. How's your bf right now? Helios making much of a dent?

im not really sure. i dont notice much difference in the mirror. i see my gf every weekend and this weekend she mentioned that my abs looked a little more defined. and today when i was wearing my belt for deadlifts i had to tighten it all the way....and i ate a good amount pre-workout.

i shot .44cc of Helios today and it didnt seem to do much, im gonna go for .5cc tomorrow.

i guess ending pics will tell the story

felt like complete garbage as soon as i got up this morning, but slowly throughout the day i felt a lot better. theres 4 viruses going around campus....hopefully i'll stay clear.

chest today. nothing exciting to report. weight was 203...damnit!

last week and this week i havent been 100% on bench because my left rear delt starts hurting. my form is fine so im not sure, but i dont want to push weight and injure it.

That happened to me once. Me and my friend were on cycle at the same time so we would just have a pin party. j/k Yeah he was like what the hell and freaking out. It just kept coming for a while. Freaked me out a bit.

I'd drink it before. Only concern i could see is how you you would feel with all that **** in your belly..

I do all my cardio on off days, as i am pretty much toast after lifting.

post workout cardio after your carb shake would be worthless....do cardio before the post workout shake....keep it short...no more than 20 min...but post weights your body will be burning more fat as you have just depleted your glycogen stores...i like to do 10-20 min of hiit post workout while sipping on the last of my extend that i used during the weight workout....then a few days a week i will wake up an hour early and hit the treadmill for some fasted low intensity walking while i watch a movie or something....oh and i sip on a few scoops of extend during the morning cardio as well

I disagree, but to each his own..

Some think fasted cardio is more effective for fat loss, some feel there is no difference and it is more beneficial to consume Pro/Carb pre cardio, to help blunt cortisol, and preserve muscle.

It all comes down to preference.. To say it is "worthless" is a bit much..lol

Skeletal muscle gene response to exercise depends on nutritional status during and after exercise, but it is unknown whether muscle adaptations to endurance training are affected by nutritional status during training sessions. Therefore, this study investigated the effect of an endurance training program (6 wk, 3 day/wk, 1-2 h, 75% of peak Vo(2)) in moderately active males. They trained in the fasted (F; n = 10) or carbohydrate-fed state (CHO; n = 10) while receiving a standardized diet [65 percent of total energy intake (En) from carbohydrates, 20%En fat, 15%En protein]. Before and after the training period, substrate use during a 2-h exercise bout was determined. During these experimental sessions, all subjects were in a fed condition and received extra carbohydrates (1 g.kg body wt(-1) .h(-1)). Peak Vo(2) (+7%), succinate dehydrogenase activity, GLUT4, and hexokinase II content were similarly increased between F and CHO. Fatty acid binding protein (FABPm) content increased significantly in F (P = 0.007). Intramyocellular triglyceride content (IMCL) remained unchanged in both groups. After training, pre-exercise glycogen content was higher in CHO (545 +/- 19 mmol/kg dry wt; P = 0.02), but not in F (434 +/- 32 mmol/kg dry wt; P = 0.23). For a given initial glycogen content, F blunted exercise-induced glycogen breakdown when compared with CHO (P = 0.04). Neither IMCL breakdown (P = 0.23) nor fat oxidation rates during exercise were altered by training. Thus short-term training elicits similar adaptations in peak Vo(2) whether carried out in the fasted or carbohydrate-fed state. Although there was a decrease in exercise-induced glycogen breakdown and an increase in proteins involved in fat handling after fasting training, fat oxidation during exercise with carbohydrate intake was not changed.
