Sunclouds 8 week PULSE : LMG + HAVOC

so here we go. another day comes, and the iron tries to beat me down. tried switching things up a bit - just moving the compound moves to the top of my workout. here's what i did :

chest/shoulders
4 sets of 5 as supersets
bench press 205/215/225/225 (up 10 pounds for two)
military press 155/165/165/170 (up 5 lbs for two)
incline bench 175/175/180/185 (up 5 lbs for one)
Smith upright rows 100/100/110/110 (up 10 for two - i like this :) )
Chest Dips 40/40/40/45 (finally, strapped a plate on!, up 5 lbs for one)
DB front delt raises 30/35/35/30 (nothing)
butterfly machine 220/220/220/220 (nothing)
DB side delt raises 25/30/30/30 (nada - delts were toast)
wide grip pullovers 80/80/80/85 (up 5 for one)
rear delt DB raises 25/25/25/25 (nothing. damn these are hard)

thoughts. would have liked to progress on my rear delt DB raises. might move them up to superset with chest dips. in fact, i probably will for next week. great workout, which helped offset my chronically bad mood :) .

thanks bslick! had some old guy spot me for the military press. hope i can be like him when i'm 55. seriously, the guy comes in, and moves straight on to pullups - not the assist machine, but the real deal. my jaw hit the floor when i saw that. hopefully i'll have that kind of strength when i get older :) .

:jaw:..whoa!

i know right? most of the old guys at my gym never pick up more than the 20 lb dumbells, and here this guy is wreaking havoc on the joint!

Sounds like my kind of old guy!! I've seen lots of older guys who are strong as fuck!! I hope I'm a strong old guy one day!!! I find that if you continue to train hard, eat right, and get proper rest, you get stronger as you age. Your muscles, tendons, and ligaments seem to toughen as you place greater and greater loads upon them. I am stronger now than I was 10 years ago. That's the way it should be!!

thats the only attitude you could possibly have, and still be making the PR's that you're doing!

today - bi/tri day. did something really insane today. let me preface by saying i hit the gym sometime around 1-1:30pm, as you may have noticed from my usual workout posting times. this way, its pretty quiet in there, so i've got most of the equipment to myself. today, there's pockets of rain - that means that only the devout hit the gym. the same old guy as there today. i'd like to talk to him, but damn, he's the only old guy actually TRYING. i'd hate to waste his time.

anyway,today i did a 22 minute workout. yes. 22 minutes. here's the insanity.

4 sets of 10 as......
giant sets
dips BW + 80/80/80/85 (up 25 on my LIGHTEST set, last set 9 reps - up one)
pinwheel curls 35/35/35/35 (nothing)
close grip bench 155/155/155/165 (up 20 on LIGHTEST, last set 6 reps - down one)
preacher curls 80/80/85/85 (up 5 lbs on all sets :) )

felt like i was going to die. 16 sets in 11 minutes. thank god they were my heaviest sets. one minute break to catch my wind.

second giant set, still 4 sets of 10:

reverse grip tricep pushdown 110/110/110/110 (still can't pull 120 down)
leaning forward cable curl 60/60/60/70 (up 10 lbs for one set)
skullcrushers - did these laying down this time 115/115/115/115
rope tricep pushdown 70/70/80/80 (6 reps on last set)

i am beaten. 22 minutes said and done - not including warmups, which i do for each exercise before i start my routine. spent 5-6 minutes in the car just trying to catch my breath before i tried driving home. got home, pulse is still above resting heart rate. INSANE!!! who needs cardio when you do this kind of retarded stuff in the gym?

also, i just found out i was chosen to log "X-dreams", so this is icing on the cake! okay. i'm off to take a shower, hopefully get my heart rate back down.

thanks for tuning in.

Crazy workout bro. I probably would have hurled trying to keep that insane pace up. Way to jack up the intensity suncloud!! And congratulations on being chosen to run and log the X-Dreams. Sounds sorta pornographic! Like a vivid wet dream or something! :head:

thanks guys. man, it took everything in me to keep that post workout shake down. still feel out of breath, even 2.5 hours after the fact. that's cardio at its best - screw the treadmill!

Suncloud what are your over all thoughts of this cycle? Anything that you would change now? I'm thinking of pulsing Tren next year.Never pulsed before so advice is welcomed.

whats the war report like today suncloud?

overall, i really like this cycle. the only thing i'm not keen on is that my strength seems weaker on off days, which is to be expected. no libido crash as of yet. if anything, its increased. weight goes up slowly - 186 right now, so 5 pounds so far. pulsing is definitely the best way to go, if you are prone to sides.

as far as tren goes, you might want to ask in the "how to pulse orals" thread about how it would work. personally, i didn't notice a loss in libido on tren, with great strength gains. therefore IMO i'd run it straight - but i don't know if no libido crash on tren is common or not. i would ask in the thread i listed, because the guys that answer there really know their stuff. hopefully that answers your question :)

you might try personally PM'ing bassgod, who seems to know a ton about pulsing, or Dr D himself. thundergod was graceful enough to help out as well. anyways, link to follow :
http://anabolicminds.com/forum/steroids/62121-how-pulse-orals.html

i'd just hate to tell you something, with my lack of knowledge about pulsing tren, and have it turn out wrong :)

sorry about the delay. been running around a bit, and the kids are being silly. making dinner for me and two kids, ages 4 and 5, took 9 eggs. not including what we used for french toast! i need to buy stock in a chicken farm.

now i understand i eat a lot, but dang. dinner for me and the kids was 9 eggs, 4 pieces of french toast (2 more eggs here), and a pound of bacon. no wonder i'm going broke :)

they just keep eating! and no, neither of them are fat. anyways, the gym. had a fairly decent workout today, no gym high :( . i'm definitely filling out though. had to break out my 31x32 jeans today. its not fat - all these deadlifts are filling out my lower back. here's the damage:

legs/back
4 sets of 10 as supersets
squats to 90 degrees 185/195/205/205 ( up 50 on LIGHTEST set, which doesn't really mean that much)
sumo deadlifts 205/205/215/215 (up 20 on LIGHTEST)
pull ups - body weight + 5/7.5/7.5/10 (up 2.5 for one)
one arm DB row 50/50/50/55 (up 5 lbs for one)
SLDL 115/115/115/125 up two reps on last set, for a total of 10
close grip pullowns - 100/110/120/135 nothing
SLED 410/410/410/410 nada
straight arm lat pushdown 70/80/80/80 (up 10 lbs for one)
donkey calf raises 90/115/115/115 just couldn't do 125 :(
Wide grip Pulldowns 100/110/120/120 nothing

arms are getting more defined. its painfully obvious on deads, where the main bicep vein looks huge. shoulders are wider, chest is a little fuller, though its not growing much anymore. left knee is not happy with me. 2 inch gain in shoulder width so far this cycle. part of that i'm sure is from these day long pumps i'm getting. though previous measurement was measured with a natural pump as well....

i don't know if i have genetically bad knees - never heard of it, but nobody in my family lifts weights. i ASSUME its because my frame is so small, and 130 is my weight when i don't work out. i think its quite possible that my knees just don't like carrying around this much weight. i'm going to give them the next 10 years to get used to it :) . that's the solution.

EDIT : the reason i don't think going up on my lightest set is a big deal, is its almost like doing one less warmup set, and one more working set. its still good, but nothing to write home about. anyways, thanks for tuning in again!

lol. thanks bslick. plenty of time to rest on the weekends. i'm so happy i've been chosen to run x-dreams. i really feel if the quality of my sleep improved, i could get EVEN MORE from this cycle!

i just want to set PR's like the TG!!!

on another side note, when i do a double biceps pose, i have three visible veins going vertical down my biceps - in correct lighting. is it possible to loose body fat while on this cycle? not like the veins show up on camera, but i can see them in the mirror. will have to see if i can get some more pics up. now i'm trying to find the battery charger for this camera. there's always something going on with these two rugrats.

im not sure i never tried havoc, but most likely you will lean out!..plus-at the rate your working out!..your veins will become more visible!(pumps)will last longer!..and good cardio, fat has no choice but to get off!

i guess. since its happening, thats the answer. i figured with the LMG and my diet, which starts off with 3 cups of half and half as part of my breakfast, that a little fat gain would happen.

i'm ultimately not concerned about fat gain for a couple reasons.
1 - its winter
2 - i've never broken 12%

i did expect with my diet and the LMG that i'd get up to 12% - maybe 13%, but that doesn't seem to be happening. at this rate, i won't need to do a cutting cycle :)

its deff. bulking season,i would like to keep some bulk/fat to keep warm through the cold weather, and you'll look buff in a sweater too!..lol..!

IMO, I would run Tren straight... but that is just me.

i just want to set PR's like the TG!!!
The TG's PR's are slowing down a lot over the last 2 weeks. That's a sign it's time to start up that 2 week cruise period of using only submaximal weights with much less intensity. And you don't take the sets to failure either. It's like an active-layoff. That's the only kind I care to take. I haven't missed a single workout in over 15 months!! If there's a "secret" to my training success, this would be it. Consistency. Keep up the good work in here suncloud. You're doing great!!

IMO, I would run Tren straight... but that is just me.
Definitely. Tren would be much better ran straight. There's certain compounds that seem better suited for pulsing over others. Epi, Super-Drol, and D-Bol seems to be the best choices.

I personally don't agree with the pulse method of taking oral steroids. Seems too back and forth with the hormones for me.

well today was substandard. by that i mean i had a meeting with my son's teachers at 1pm - ended at 1:45. that's my gym time. have to pick up the other one at 2:30, so there was no time to hit the gym up. finally went at 8pm, and there's too many people there to get all my machines :(

here's what i did:
legs/back
4 sets of 5 as supersets
squats (ATG) 185/185/185/185 (up 10 and 20 lbs for two sets)
chin ups bw + 30/35/35/35 (nothing)
deadlift to shrug 225/235/235/245 (up 10 lbs on two sets)
SLED 410/410/430/430 (up 20 lbs for one set
bent over rows 115/125/135
donkey calf raises 115/115/125/125

kinda unhappy about this. i really wanted to do the complete workout, but i'm switching out exercises when the machines/squat rack, etc is in use. i did manage to go up in two of the powerlifter three's though, so at least its not a complete wash. vengeance will be mine

the good news, is this has made me really angry, so expect a nice increase in tomorrows workouts. RAGE is my anabolic of choice.

okay, i have to vent.

today, there were three guys hogging the chinup bar for 45 minutes. just alternating, standing under it, trying to be cool. don't get me wrong, all three were 6', 200-210 lbs, pretty solid looking guys. big frames though, so they had tons of room to fill out. one of them needs to do assisted chinups, when there's an "assist machine" 20 feet away. instead, they hold his legs up for him. okay, no problems so far.

finally, 30 minutes into this horsecrap, only one guy is still doing chins. now i have respect for anyone who can do 6+ sets of chinups, but i'm almost done with my routine, and i'm kinda bent - that's my first superset, and i'm ready to leave. i asked the only guy still doing them if i could "work in" with him. his other friend, had to jump in and calm him down - explaining that they'd been on the pullup bars for a long time, two of them are done, and its only fair.

WTF over? there's one guy still doing them, 2 minute break between sets, i mean that's retarded. and to get PISSED about it? damn that set me over the edge.

if his friend hadn't jumped in, this would have turned ugly. not that i'm going to start a fight with 3 guys - i'd never throw the first punch anyways, but i was definitely tempted to throw it in his face that i was doing more weights for chins then he was - after all, i had the only weight belt :)

on a side note, i've been informed that my x-dreams is showing up sometime this week, and LMD wants a 3-day run without prohormones to fully gauge effects, let it sink in, whatever. after the initial 3 days, i can do whatever supps i want. towards that end, this weeks pulse will be M-T-Th, so F-Sat-Sun will be the three day "clean" window to start dosing the x-dreams . next week will go back to MWF.

i commend you for keeping your cool!..when the x-dreams log start that should be pretty interesting also,a good nights rest sounds good to anyone!..:drunk:

definitely no roid rage with LMG and Havoc . when i was on tren, i would have told him in no uncertain terms to meet me outside. watch your anger my friend with your dienedrone :) .

argh. kid woke up with a nightmare last night. kept me up real late, which sucks. anways, damage report. did a very solid workout today, feeling pretty good, though my legs feel like jello today. here we go :

chest/shoulders
4 sets of 5 as supersets
bench press 225/225/225/225 (up 10-20 lbs on two LIGHTEST sets. tried 230 but i couldn't get 5 reps out of it)
military press 155/165/175/175 (up 5 pounds for two sets!)
incline bench 175/180/180/185 (up 5 lbs for one, nothing great)
Smith upright rows 100/110/120/120 (up 10 for 3!!!!)
Chest Dips 45/45/45/45 (up 5 for three)
DB rear delt raises 25/25/30/30 (up 5 for two, another nice gain)
DB front delt raises 30/30/35/35
butterfly machine 220/220/220/220
DB side delt raises 30/30/30/30 (up 5 for one. i HATE this movement)
wide grip pullovers 80/80/80/85

moving the DB rear delt raises up the list has helped me go up in weight i think. pretty solid workout, got a great pump going. pretty happy with this workout - how could i not be? the rage over yesterday definitely helped fuel this workout.

does anyone else hate doing side delt raises, or is it just me?

back in the saddle again i see,alright!..and utilizing rage as a motivation is cool...oh! yes im not a big fan of side delt raises..yuk!.LOL..but you gotta' do what you gotta' do..LOL..looking real intense there brutha!

I knew when you said earlier that rage was your favorite anabolic, you weren't shitting!! It's mine also. And I agree with you about Tren. That's why I like it so damn much. Give me that rage!!! :aargh:

I despise/love them. They shape and pump my shoulders like crazy... so I love them. They are 5 straight minutes of f*cking agony though... I superset my front raises with my side raises just to get them out of the way faster. I get a better pump, and it burns way worse to do the superset, especially my third set, but the feeling when you are through with them is like no other. I probably notice the "pump" feeling the most in my shoulders... even more than my biceps sometimes.

I get a better pump, and it burns way worse to do the superset, especially my third set, but the feeling when you are through with them is like no other. I probably notice the "pump" feeling the most in my shoulders... even more than my biceps sometimes.
Yeah I agree on that sh!t I was in the gym the other day and I had a wife beater on, i did my shoulder presses then went on to do front and side raises(not supersetted) I have never seen my shoulders so jacked. they were capped the hell off and veins and striations just coming out everywhere. I heard some dudes talking behind me and they were whispering little "juice" comment to each other. I just turned around and smiled . It felt great, the intensity i had that day was like no other time I have experienced. It was truly out of this world so to speak.

hrm. front and side delts as a superset you say? must try this.

I knew when you said earlier that rage was your favorite anabolic, you weren't shitting!! It's mine also. And I agree with you about Tren. That's why I like it so damn much. Give me that rage!!! :aargh:

yeah, tren really got under my skin. i think in the future, it will be the underlying component in any future stack! the rage is insane :numbered:

I'm late, but I'm subbed and catching up!

well, not quite the giant set madness of last weeks workout, but 28 minutes of madness this time, which is still pretty quick.

bi's/tri's
4 sets of 10 as supersets
dips BW + 80/80/90x7 PR!! (up 5 lbs)/90x4 (reps too low, doesn't count), 80x9
close grip bench 155/165/170/170(up 5 lbs on 3 sets)
preacher curls 80/80/85/90 (up 5 lbs on one set)
reverse grip tricep pushdown 110/110/110/110
leaning forward cable curl 60/60/70/70 (up 10 lbs for one set)
laying down skullcrushers 115/115/115/115
rope tricep pushdown 70/70/80/80 (9 reps on last set)

that was a spectacular workout! no doubts. this is the first (and only) time doing an arm day does not fall on a pulse day. because of this, i would have been happy to hit my previous numbers. of course that doesn't mean i'm not going to try to do even better!

wow..bro congrats on the p.r!..workout looks short and sweet..thats how i dooz it!..less then an hour!:good:

my old workout partner, who has been out from a rotator cuff injury said i look huge, which is a plus! he's the type 1 diabetic in my http://anabolicminds.com/forum/training-forum/99607-gaining-mass-nutshell.html post. i'm gonna have my old training partner back soon! workout time will go up, but motivation will climb higher, so not a bad tradeoff. i'll never workout more than an hour though. i agree bslick, 60+ minutes just doesn't work well for me.

God... I love me an epic 2 hour session with the iron. I know it's overtraining, but it's just one of my guilty pleasures I indulge in every once in a while.

on cycle 2 hours isn't that bad. i just cycle so rarely that 45 minutes seems to be my normal cutoff time.

You make me sound like a roid junkie. This is only my second cycle... I just like working out.

Although, the further along in my bodybuilding journey I get, the more concise my workouts get.

lol. so not my intention :)

with me, doing supersets, and a pretty fast speed gives me the HIIT cardio benefits, while not setting foot on a treadmill. i'm not planning on cutting till march/april, so no cardio till then.

I agree with the supersets, I use them a lot when I cut. You should probably do light cardio 2 days a week just for actual cardiovascular health, unless you are fairly active otherwise... I know you have kids to take care of, so that might be enough cardio for you anyway.
