Just saw Quantum of Solace at 12:01 AM

watched one or two previews then i was just like ahhhhh he's a lame james bond.... it doesnt look like it follows the path of all the other james bond movies. they are going in a different direction now i think, wayyyy too much action when bond wasnt that crazy before. Gotta keep it classy and the pimp hand strong. Of course i cant really say for sure because i havent watched QOS yet and i dont intend to until dvd.

gonig to see it on wednesday. I only just watched the Casino Royale, nothing like a standard bond film, where are all the gadgets?? his Aston Martin didnt even have a rocket launcher...lame!

These movies are supposed to be prequels of the other movies (although set in modern day) from when bond was younger and reckless. Hence fewer gadgets, more kickass-ness.
 
Hah I didn't even know that. But this movie definitely has some cool gadgets and such in it, at least compared to Casino Royale. Don't believe me?....well, I had a link ot post but I don't have over 50 posts -.-

Just go to Gizmodo . com and search quantum of solace. It reviews bond and the gadgets. Even has pictures of my next car :]
BTW Gizmodo is my source for keeping up-to-date in the technology world.

That's one thing that pissed me off. It's like they went back in time, but in the future. I just don't see how that works or makes any sense at all. Kind of lame, imo; however, I really thought Craig made a good Bond. But, as a poker player, Casino Royal pissed me off because the poker scene was so stupid. Bleh. Rebuy for 1.5bb? Riggghhhht.

Bond is a shortstacker. Not pimp or balla in any way.
 
I think they're trying to appeal to a new generation with these new films. The younger generation doesn't really go in for that "gentlemanly" type stuff anymore. They have to be less plot-intensive and more "bang-bang-boom-boom" to keep all the ADHD'ers' attentions.
On a side note, despite not being American, Craig is a huge supporter of President Obama and said that the next Bond should be black. Seriously.

Katt Williams. Ha!!! There aren't very many black movie stars to begin with. Denzel is the go-to guy but he's getting up there in years. Will Smith, maybe?
 
I ABSOLUTELY agree with Cheadle and would have mentioned him but I don't think he's handsome enough. I don't think Will Smith is either, but chicks do dig him.

Well bond movies have never really depended on a previous movies plot to keep moving anyways.

The older generation of Bond fans will hate it but people who take Bond to be a joke will love it.

i love the action in Bond movies but they seem to always follow some sort of template.

illegal operation happening
corrupt tycoon funds it
bond's crew investigate
james bond sleeps with corrupt tycoon's wife
james bond figures out the secrets
corrupt tycoon's people try to kill james bond
james bond uses his gadgets etc to fight back
bond saves the world.
