I've been wondering if I should give myself another day or so to recover. Today was the first day I've not felt like a zombie in a short while, and its not because I got extra sleep last night. I actually had to be up at 5am this morning and I'm sleepier then normal, but not lethargic. I believe the rest has already helped a lot.

I think you should give it a bit more rest bro. Honestly, I think a week off would be appropriate for you, but at least 5 days is in order imo..

Definitely continue with the rest. A full week for sure. Don't cut yourself short, you deserve it! In the long run, it's the best thing for you.

I just inadvertently fell asleep in the Firm's Lobby (on the couch) for maybe longer then what is considered "a break." I did that TWICE yesterday and once in the parking lot.

I'm still loading with the White Flood to keep my BA concentrations strong & steady.
 
Anybody else a fan of chitlins? I think I had too much at lunch. I searched for pictures, but there are NO pictures that depict chitlins in a, "wow that looks good I want to try that" manner. All the pictures I saw are actually very off-putting, but damn, when cooked right, chitlins are GREAT!!!

I searched for pictures, but there are NO pictures that depict chitlins in a, "wow that looks good I want to try that" manner. All the pictures I saw are actually very off-putting, but damn, when cooked right, chitlins are GREAT!!!

No doubt, chitlins won't win any pictorial awards for culinary delight!
 
I think I ate TOO MUCH, and I just had more. My stomach was feeling a bit iffy, but when I browsed the work fridge for left overs, there was one more helping of spicy chitlins and I had to kill it.

Gotchya. I thought you were trying to figure out if what you ate was chitlins, haha..
 
For the record peoples, I did perform HIIT at 6am this morning, so I'm not COMPLETELY sedentary, but no lifting. My muscles are getting a well needed R&R. I suppose you could call it an active rest.

EDIT: The proxy filter at my work cuts out most fun picture sources and all videos... so I have to remember to check them all out when I get home, lol. Friggen kinder-net is more like it.
 
I've had the bolo jokes my entire life :lol: Well, from 1st grade to maybe 7th grade, it was the, "green eggs & Ham, Sam I am..." from everybody. Then from high school on it was the bolo jokes.

Day 27; Final Rest Day

If I rest today, it will be an official 5 days rest from Saturday. I do feel pretty damn good. No lethargy and I feel about 90% fresh. My lower back strain is still slightly apparent and so is my left pec, but my left pec injury doesn't feel like it's going to give me any troubles if I stick to flat bench, at least for a brief while.

I don't think I've rested so long as to make me miss the iron, as some people report, but my rest did start on a weekend, and Saturday and Sunday don't feel like sacrificial rest days for some reason. I suppose a Monday through Friday rest week would be more psychologically enduring. Either way, with each rest day I feel more and more rejuvenated. I've actually experienced my body go from feeling quite $hitty, to how I feel now, which is pretty close to a full tank. I'm not crashing at 10:00am and 2:00pm as I have been, and I'm not procrastinating at work due to lack of drive, energy and motivation. I should really take more useful recovery times like this, but I know that when I'm fully back in the trenches, I won't consider getting shipped back home. It's really hard to pull myself out of the battlefield when I'm fully in the grind (even when I'm injured as ya'll have seen). However, this prolonged rest has been beyond worth it, and I hope I keep that in mind.

I just read this last page of the log, laughed at Bolo and Jean Claude cranking out the rock-band, turn around to flip the channel, the channel 'VS' comes on, and what movie do I see ?! KICK BOXER ! And which part of it ?! JEAN CLAUDE VAN DAMME'S FLEXING HIS TRAPS just like in the little clip ! .. odd little coincidence !
