Bulk P-Slin MassMonster shake Discussion!

If the aim is to spike insulin response pre-intra-post workout, does this mean it would be pointless to use PowerFULL pre workout with this protocol?

What about off days? Low carb or moderate levels throughout the morning and afternoon?

Jacob when you said limit fat to 6g per, did you mean in the shake or with the other meals of the day?

PowerFULL should be saved for night time and 1 hour after eating not with the workout shake.

I meant 6grams with the shake.

On off days, Forgot adding that section which I will edit it...

I eat 100grams with 400mgs bulk P-Slin from mostly complex carbohydrates in the morning.

My other meals are high in fiber(veggies), protein and fat but I aslo play it by ear. If I feel I need some carbs later in the day, I will eat 30-40grams with 1 Anabolic Pump. You can eat the carbs without the anabolic pump but I prefer to keep insulin low for fat loss...

Most of my fat comes from Olive oil, fishoil, and saturated fats(smal amounts of butter, avocados and from eggs)

What about making a separate pre, peri and post training shake using different proteins to take advantage of different absorption rates? Something like Iso or hydrolysate pre, BCAA or EAA powder during, and MPI post but basically drinking them continuously as if it was one big shake?

What about peak ATP instead of creatine?

Personally, I believe creatine has broader body-building and sports benefits than PEAK ATP® (Adenosine 5'-Triphosphate Disodium). PEAK ATP® makes the biggest difference in terms of ATP synthesis, as adenosine triphosphate is a key part of cellular energy metabolism. With PEAK ATP®, one should see improved delivery of (macro)nutrients and oxygen to skeletal muscle cells, more efficient elimination of catabolic waste (like citrulline malate), and improved vasodilation and blood flow. Yet, PEAK ATP® does not provide the actual substrate for muscle-tissue enhancement and the other benefits of creatine supplementation.

Is that a patented creatine? I still stick with my creatine mono, although I liked Creatine Gluconate (just too pricey). I might try out NP's KreAlk Caps

It is a pure ATP product.
 
Hmmm, I've never used it but does it increase ATP better than creatine but what I like about creatine is that it creates a hydrated cell along with inceasing ATP.

What about some form of creatine with Peak ATP. Stack the two. I have a bottle of crea pure from life extention.
 
This what I am thinking.

I currently have my peptopro combo wms I have.
I will make a huge shake thats pre and mid. I add crea pure, peak atp, BA and GPLC. than mid work out I up my bcaa content.
 
whats the minimum amount of carbs to use with 400 mg (.25 tsp)... 50-50 gms? I train fasted in the am sometimes, sipping torrent (50g carbs) + about 10 gms waxymaize... should i add more wms/take it out?

400mgs is good with 50-75 after 75grams of Carbohydrates I would increase 100mgs per every 25extra grams.

I have trouble believing this is ideal. 1,000 calories around your workout? What kind of workout would a person like this be doing? They definitely would be a monster. Seems extremely excessive for almost all people.

50 to 100 grams of carbs seems more realistic to me.

Does a person really want to consume so many calories in high GI foods pre-workout? I realize P-slin requires increased carbohydrate intake, but how could this not lead to a lot of fat gain for most people?

I'm with you as far as the number of carbs go. I'm staying with 100g maximum pre, intra, and post workout.

I did this yesterday and had an amazing time in the gym. I plan on doing the same tomorrow, hopefully this yields similar results.

The goal is to maximize the anabolic aspect of insulin when its needed and not other times during the day.

1000 calories during a 2-2.5 hour(pre-intra-post) time frame during intense training. By all means, if you are doing pilates, yoga, spinning, or moderate intensity exercise this is not a protocol for you, but I'm talking about busting out intense workouts using heavy weights fuled by the MassMonster shake.

Also I urge you to start with 50grams of carbs and 300mgs of PSLIN and work your way up.

But 50grams is way to low and 50grams fits into a normal approach to eating. Remember, We are not eating much or any carbohydrates with other meals.
 
Lets rock and roll with the AIR protocol which is a cool acronym that a fellow anabolicminds member came up with (forgot who it was specifically but have to give credit where credit is due).

We all figured our caloric need in this thread and some are concerned about the amount of calories. Without getting too much of course, the evolution of the American food system has devalued the nutritional value of our food. The evolution of the American eating patterns has switched from cooking to drive through. Our food is lacking fiber and nutrients so we are eating more starches that digest much quicker therefore spiking insulin and leading to fat gain.

But Jacob, this all about spiking insulin….Are you senile? My wife thinks so sometimes but with proper timing and supplements we will exploit the anabolic power of insulin while avoiding the power of insulin to store fat.

What I’m getting at is once we start eating nutrient dense food and proper times the calories calculated will feed a new level of muscle growth, recovery, and MOST importantly HEALTH!

For those that need to lose more fat, we will use a generic number of 2000 calories and slowly increase from that point. Please remember that Formulas are just formulas but by learning calories, you start to REALLY understand the type of nutrition you require individually.

The AIR protocol is based around using the power of P-SLIN and spiking insulin with simple sugars and fast digesting proteins pre-intra-post workout and avoiding insulin spikes throughout the day(well depending on your body type). We try to avoid fat at all cost. We do not want much fat in the blood stream but fish oil is fine and DO not freak out over a few grams of fat. Please do not exceed 6grams.

AIR-Mass Monster shakes

800mgs Pslin
150-200grams simple sugars (waxy maize starch, dextrose, malto)

What is happening?

We are spiking GLUT4 levels with Insulin and with P-SLIN. We are creating an anabolic response pre-intra-post workout that will lead to a cascade of positive events. While spiking insulin we will be driving Creatine, Beta Alanine and amino acids into muscle cells.

What will I experience?

Ultimately our goal is more muscle mass without fat mass! But the workout energy and endurance will be phenomenal!

How about our other meals?

Well this is when we avoid spiking insulin unless you are not carb sensitive but I’ve learned if you keep insulin low throughout the day and spike around the workout. You become much more insulin responsive so spiking Insulin becomes much more effective and we avoid FAT gain. Which exactly what we want!

How do I eat?

Hmmmm this becomes real difficult and user dependent….In general all meals will be high fiber, very low carbohydrate, high protein and high in good fats! I eat 30 grams of oatmeal in the morning but I use Anabolic Pump so very very little insulin is secreted.
This is basically what I have been doing before and while I was running my 30 day Prime log....I was using Anabolic Pump but now I am using both AP and Bulk P-slin.

I had my calorie counter on - burned 900cal in 45 minutes.

4hrs later Im still hungry every hour and still jacked to the hilt.

i dont get it, are you taking your bulk p-slin 15 min before the AIR-Mass Monster shakes? Or are you taking it all together at once?
Shouldn't p-slin/AP be taken 15-20 min before at all times?

They're taken together, since you sip on the shake and the PSlin is constantly getting intaken with the carbs. It does take a bit of time for the PSlin to kick in, but the carbs take a bit of time to digest/break down too. This is a different protocol/timing that the standard AP/PSlin method, but it has some great anecdotal feedback. Just another great way to use the products :thumbsup:

respect, but I use vitargo, it should digest in a matter of seconds :food:

the reason is that we want insulin secretion and taking it before will minimize it..
 
I haven't done this with the bulk yet(i'll dig into mine soon) but i did break open caps of P-slin last year and tossed it in some Intrabolic, Poseidon, and Carbs. I think everyone should start low with the p-slin amount and build up because my first workout with this protocol last year i did not have enough carbs and it didn't go to well...
 
i just dosed my p-slin with breakfast on non workout days. Prob go with two doses a day with this bulk tho

G'Day Bolt - it was from you I got the idea of breaking Pslin caps into intra-WO shakes earlier in the year - I had forgotten what a great workout it produces.

Mullet also had a great protocol for 'double loading' using AP and P-Slin together.

From memory it runs a little something like this:

1hr 15m drop an AP cap.
1hr mixture of complex/simple carbs such as two pieces of wholemeal bread with honey.

intraWO - have a P-slin dissolved (or in this case the bulk) in a mixture of simple carbs that are equal or greater than the preWO dose to sip during WO. Ensure you have some whey and creatine in the mix.

In effect the AP is 'priming the muscles' for work, while the PSlin is constantly refeeding.

I hope I got this explanation right!

i made this yesterday with 2 scoops of ids waximaize, the 800mg pslin 5 scoops xtend, and 40grams of protein. it worked great i didn't wanna elave the gym. only problem is i need some beta alanine and the combo of protein grape xtend and fruit punch waixy maize wasn't the greatest tasting thing in the world. also the creatine i take is neovar is this alright to take with my shake before workout?
 
do i smell a new workout supp from usp? the mass monster shake gets sent to your house in a 20 gallon drum and a fork lift.... do it up usp

Neovar has some corosolic acid & Gymnema. Jacob explained how taking the PSlin peri-workout and not before the carbs allows for a release of insulin; so taking Neovar pre would slightly affect the insulin release if you want to split hairs. I do like the Neovar 2.0, but if you're really interested in getting that insulin release, you might consider plain creatine mono or another form (Kre-Alkalyn Caps, CEE, Gluconate, Malate, etc.) but I think Neovar is a good choice.

i'll just take the neovar in the morning because i usually work out at night. i do have the neovar recomped. when that runs out i'm going to try the cre-02
 
Iv been making my breakfest with pslin and dinner too but at a little less of a dose around 500-600. I like it so far. Its hard to gauge the FEELING but so far its not bad.
 
whats the general consensus on adding glycerol mono stearate to the mix?

I was planning on using the following protocol.

30g pro powder

5g Crea mono
4g beta alanine
2.5g Taurine
5g Poseidon

2-4g GMS

Simple shake post

400mg Pslin
40g pro pow
2 cup milk
1 cup blended oats (60g)
3g Leucine
1 banana

what you think about this?
 
question for usplabs:

How much pslin while carbing up after a keto or other zero carb diet?
I carb 1000 grams day 1 and 700 day 2 , so 4 grams pslin day 1 and 2.8 grams day2 spread throughout the day?

would pslin even be usefull under this scenerio since all the carbs are being used to reload and are not gonna be stored as fat?
