Difference between ATW WPI and Optimum Nutrition Isolate

Hey All,
I am wondering if there is a difference (besides flavors) between the ATW WPI and the Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein isolate. I ask, because it is now cheaper for me to get the ON from the store right down the street then it is to order from ATW with the price increase...even with the free shipping coupon, it is still more expensive. Let me know if any of you guys have any insight.

I do, I've used ON Isolate before, Chocolate, cookies n cream, vanilla, I hated drinking my protein, I finished drinking them everytime, but I didn't use protein for a year after that, I thought all of them tasted like sh*t.

Now, if I get a sweet craving, I'll drink any ATW flavor I have and my craving will go away.

Plus, ATW's WPI is superior to ON quality, does ON even make WPI? All the protein I've seen has Whey concentrate and something else, along with artificial colors!

I'm not brand loyal, I'll always buy the best I can afford and ATW is it.

personally all the whey is straight up isolate so thats for starters. Also to me ON protein has a certain taste that I cant put my finger on im not sure if i like it to much. All the whey has a good variety of protein which all taste different and good.

Finally you guys are coming around and realizing that ON doesn't even come close to the quality of not just ATW but 70% of other companies out there. That certain taste you are talking about is the extremely high amount of LECITHIN and artificial flavoring. This is why when you open ON's bag/jar that rancid smell lingers forever. Overall ON taste ok with a surprisingly good after taste. :woohoo:

I am using ON chocolate right now, and the after taste is there with no doubt. I already have 2 containers saved in my cart at NP of ATW WPI Cinna Bun yummy

i am LOVING my all the whey cinnamon bun. i find myself just eating the powder throughout the day for no reason

you are kidding right? I am sure it is quite tasty, but eating the powder? How about putting them in pancakes or something?

lol i dont mean like scoops and scoops of it..

just in terms of walkin through the kitchen for something else and randmoly taking a tiny sample to "remember the taste."

I put em in the pancake mix instead of the milk, mix 1 scoop with water instead of the milk and add.....cinnabun pancakes with whipped cream, butter and syrup every morning!

ON is inferior in every way; taste, effectiveness, and value. The only flavor I enjoy is banana cream, and ATW banana is just as good if not better.

ATW CC Batter, Cinnamon Bun, and Chocolate Mint cannot be beat for taste, and no brand can beat 25g protein in one 70cc scoop. As an aside, their other products are solid (and a great value) too, like the tgc, zma, and even their multi-vitamin (the pill not the liquid).

By the way if you're comparing prices you should be comparing the ON to the ATW Blend, because ON is a blend, not an isolate.

this is an excellent point. Pure isolate is usually quite expensive. ATW is very reasonable.

Will be ordering 2 cinnabun within the week :woohoo:

Is the Choc Mint good, compared to their choc or cinnabun?

It is incredible mixed with milk (esp. whole), tastes like melted mint chocolate chip ice cream. With water I'd say its just okay, but still better than 95% of flavors out there. Def. give a 2 lb'er a try or at least ask for a sample.

I'm running low on all my 5lb tubs (CC batter, Cinnabun and Choc)

Will keep the Choc, Cinnabun and get the chocmint....

i'm getting ready to place an order on nutra in the next two weeks. is ATW going to end up at nutra anytime soon?
