What do you make of this past weekend on Wallstreet?

Great vid Neo "is this the worst week..........no there'l be worse weeks":jaw:

Why is this guy not running for President right now? i know he was but come on i couldn't see Obama or Macain giving speeches on the US economy as detailed as this guy.

Neo, that is by far the best post you have ever made. Great job man!!! Its really too damn bad that other people couldn't see how much better of a candidate this guy was than Obama or McCain.

I have many many friends who support him, as well as I. They admittedly told me there is no way he will represent a party in the presidential election. The powers that be wont allow it. He also has some off the wall views, if you will. Dont we all.

I love this perception of choice we are given.........lol

The reason why he won't be president is because it is fixed and he offers a real world problem of f*cking with 'their' system and what 'they' want to happen.

Things didn't magically get this way, there is a plan and 'they' are walking out there plan so that they have a firm grasp of all the money, power and control stay in the hands of whom they choose.

'They' = the powers above .gov, congress and any other influential body that you see. Just because you may not see the puppet masters doesn't make them any less real or some conspiracy theory bs.

The only way to fix the system is revolution, the masses need to rise up and fix the system in anyway needed but once you try to do this they will roll out the army, the police riot units etc. Then what? all of a sudden you're radical fundamentalist going against your patriotic country etc etc.

When sh~t goes down, it will go down hard and on a global scale, there will be two camps, those who stick with the .gov and those that choose freedom and a better way.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm totally good with as close to the perfect .gov we can have but it is so f'cked up and corrupted its not funny, with everyone in the pockets of big business.

damn.......bro............I hear you. I have two friends that sound just like you.

It just gets me all worked up and stressed out.

Like you say, it will be a police state if we do rise up.

Alright, tummys turning.......Im out.

Props NEO.

I will just take the blue pill and ride it out.......

I'm not trying to freak you out bro, it's just in our faces. When it comes time, just make the right decision and stand up!

im not freaked out, just turns my stomach sometimes.

i have two friends that "update" me twice a year. I get my fill, trust me.

Brilliant - a 1+ trillion dollar plan to save wall street, pool all the bad assets together, and not a word on how this is going to affect tax payers.

That and GS/MS just transformed themselves into bank holding companies.

I work on the custody side as an entry level portfolio admin and let me say we had our own scare last week. Thursday there was a very serious run on our stock and it shot down to 29.09 (our 52 week low had been 55) - a 54% drop in the span of 3 hours. Our company has 14.4 trillion in assets under management worldwide with a small investment management branch. People were flipping out about their 401k's of course - but the stock somehow pushed back up all the way to $59 same day.

I was hoping to move laterally since I'm at my 1 year mark onto the investment side but sadly there are zero jobs right now as everyone is on a hiring freeze and anyone that is hiring here in Boston has their pick of the litter. And hedge funds only seem to hire Ph.D's in Quant or Financial Engineering these days - having close to a 4.0 in an ongoing quest to get my MS in Finance while working full time doesn't seem to account for much these days either. It's sad - I've seen many job descriptions lately (don't know if it's legal or not) that say candidates only from top university programs.

I'm very frustrated these days to say the least. Oh well, at least I'll be debt free by the end of the week - not too many people can say that being a year removed from college. I'd really love to work at a hedge fund one day
I work in a hedge fund now on the operations side of things. It isnt anything special. Unless your trading and making lots of money for the company you are just treated like another cog in the wheel. The traders are cocky buggers that are quite often tossers who cant make money unless its a bull market.......and we are a rather successful hedge fund here in London. Dont panick about the university degree thing. Fact is you will have one, i dont. I was put forward for jobs that clearly stated uni degree is a must and i was offered them. Once you get to the interview stage it comes down to how you handle yourself and your personality. I know its very competitive in the states but it is quite similar here in London and i'm not even English. In the past two years i had two uni grads start working with me, both very intelligent and neither lasted 3 months. Could not handle the pressure at all. There is a big hiring freeze at the moment but there are still companies hiring.Just apply for anything and everything, interview experience is priceless.
