has anyone success with pregnenolone for adrenal fatigue and in which form is it taken?

ive seen al shades post that during the summer his dhea levels went up due to reset ad and the pregnenolone it contains.. anyone else similar experiences?

what is the ingredient in it that does it for you guys you think?

is it the pregnenolone?

or the adrenal tissue?

Bump for the last question. I'm curious if there's one ingredient that can stand-alone give the same results. Anybody try just bulk pregnenolone?
Yeah. I have/am. 50mg tabs by Source Naturals. Bite em in half and take 1 AM and 1 PM. Works dope for energy.

I've used BAC Preg, and other than transdermally when applied to the temples, I didn't notice anything close to what I get from ResetAD.

dsade, my man. I too have had great success with TDS PREG. I have a super cool formula. I can't cook well, but I reckon I can make a damn good TDS, using Basskillers recipe, as well as BigCat's BA/IPA TDS...both with small pretreatment with DMSO.

Did you make your own PREG TDS, or did you just use the life-flo TD PREG ?

The Ampheta-Restore looks way too expensive for me. If you buy each of the ingredients separately, it's much less expensive. Plus, the label doesn't break down the dosage of each ingredient. If you're already supplementing zinc as a stand-alone or in another product, how are you suppose to know how much copper to take to balance it out when taking the mystery amount in this product? But I guess there's some added value in the marketing. :-)

I actually emailed the customer service at AR with this question. I asked about zinc, magnesium, and if they could clarify the benefits that they had for stimulant users. As far as magnesium goes, the rep sent me several links. Here is an excerpt from one that caught my eye:

"Magnesium is an NMDA antagonist. Most people are deficient in magnesium, and stress reduces magnesium levels. Whether or not one takes amphetamines, magnesium supplementation is very important for mood, general well-being and keeping stress levels under control. It is also important to take magnesium in efficient form, with adequate bioavailability. The best type is magnesium glycinate (chelated) with bioavailability at around 80%. Second best is magnesium carbonate with (I don't remember exactly) bioavailability at little above 30%. Supplemented magnesium should be at 500 mg/day level. Also there is a study which shows that children who use amphetamine-type stimulants have bad magnesium/calcium balance. Calcium levels stay the same with amphetamine usage, but magnesium levels drop."

As far as the zinc goes, the rep, thank God, put things in a manner in which a meathead could understand. He basically said that it was like supplementing with ZMA, and the product and the same recovery benefits of ZMA but with one tweak. The zinc, magnesium, vitamin C, and b-5 all serve a "distinct" purpose, but common zma doesn't contain b5. He sent me several links for all of the ingredients and briefly explained why they were included. Here is what I found about b-5 from palo alto's product; which shares almsot every ingredient with Ampheta-Restore:

"Pantothenic acid is one of the key components in helping promote adrenal health. Once inside the body, pantothenic acid forms a substance called pantethine, which is further converted into an enzyme called “Co-enzyme A.” Co-enzyme A is an extremely important compound and is essential in the metabolism of protein, fat, and carbohydrates. It is also the starting point for the body's production of adrenal steroids, cholesterol, bile, and haemoglobin. Pantethine allows the adrenal glands to generate more cortisone which is an anti-stress hormone. With more cortisone produced, the body's inflammatory response is reduced. The increased production of cortisone and other adrenal hormones stimulated by Pantothenic acid helps counteract stress and enhance metabolism."

Magnesium glycinate does have a high bio-availability, but provides only 10% elemental magnesium, so you'd need about 3500mg per day to give you 350mg. But the good news is that this form is easiest on the bowels. Many forms of magnesium cause loose stools, and one or two (can't recall) cause constipation.

Most heart attack patients are low in magnesium, so it's a good idea to make sure one is not deficient. Not trying to imply supplementation of magnesium can help prevent heart attacks, and some people, such as with kidney disease should check with their doctor first before taking it.
