Well, I can't wait to get to the gym tonight... The only thing I've felt before today is the need to sleep like a motherf*cker...

Today I kind of have a bit of a nervous buzz like I REALLY need to go home and grab my XTend - then cause some pain.
 
BP was 110 / 80...

I just told the nurse I wanted a reading because I had been taking some new supplements.

She's like, ooooh, I hope its not creatine - that can cause heart problems... I was like, "WTF, who is this lady"...

Right in the normal range, even below the "bedtime" range. I would have told her you have been taking TONS of Creatine for YEARS! LOL!

Back to the gym today for Timber. Slammed the chest and obliques. Pushed 3 plates on the Smith Decline (270) and 205 on the Incline... Some DB work / dips / cables... great chest workouts. Great pumps and swole as crap.

By the time I got home, I had pis*ed twice, and still weighted 183.8 (obviously still a ton of water and food weight)...

Shoulder felt a little sore throughout workout, but no sharp pains... Rubbed in some Tiger linment before and after workout, seems to make it feel better.

3 sets of 12 at 225 - didn't go heavy for safety

50@140, 35@150, 5@200, 20@150

12 min 10% Incline Walk @3.5MPH

My lethargy is starting to go away. I worked from home today... sooooo nice. Got a lot of work done, and an early jump on the gym. Body still wants to sleep non-stop...

Bit concerned about my calories - I'm probably around 4.5k a day... When does Halo typically start its cutting properties? Week 3? I'm just not used to eating so much, I'm starting to like it... I just don't want to put on fat during this cycle due to the little Pool Vaca for labor day... Thoughts?

Quit your whining and just eat... you are on an anabolic compound. They arn't really all that great for you. So, the bigger you get on the least amount of cycles, the better. Make the most out of it. You can diet later.

Glad your shoulders feeling better bro. I'd say hover around 3000-3500cals ed till week 2.5 -3 for sure. Unless you want to get fat and move up in a weight class lol.....fcuk that.

I'm just gonna eat big... but eat super big on week 3. If I need to dial it in due to fat gain - I will near the end of cycle or PCT, but I feel very lean now anyway.

THEN I figured out what back pumps are. I started feeling them on the low row, but then the Roman Chair blew them out to the stratisphere. Tried walking on the treadmill incline, but decided to call it a day after 8 minutes to give the back some time to rest. I didn't do DB rows or T Bar rows to cycle off of them... and I actually forgot to do the lat push downs. :sad: But it was a great workout regardless. :head:

Anyone see something I'm missing from my back workouts? Its supposed to be a focus area for me on this cycle.

It was supposed to be a warmup... and keep going back to them... but after the pull downs, I was shot. Couldn't get a full rep.

I do the pull downs as my warm up and then hit the pull ups adding weight as I go. Nothings the same as pull ups for lat spread. Why I'm not sure guess it's something to do with the body mechanics of the movement even compared to lat pull downs but they work like no other....:thumbsup:

Yeah, I've been doing the pullups really wide too.. You guys are a lot stronger in the back - particularly in the lats. Any BW exercise I'm still kind of catching up on... 6 months ago I could blow out some pullups when I was 160.

Yea they get harder the heavier you get that's for sure. That's also the good thing about them too though. Also remember that a wide grip works the inner back and the close grip works the otter lats!! NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.... Try this if you like this is how I got my back strong at first. This is an old Arnold method:
Do 30 pull ups every time you work your back as your first exercise. It doesnt matter how many sets it takes you to get them done but get the 30 every time. When you can get all 30 in two sets then add weight and go from there.

If you do this for two months the improvement in your lats and your strength will blow you away dude. No sht true story.....

Pull ups all the way!!!!I still do pull downs from time to time.They are a different exercise.First and foremost with pullups,you pull your body up,and with pull downs,you pull weight down to your body.Their is a difference there!Plus with pull ups it forces you to stay in PROPER position!I can't stand the guys that lean back on pull downs.If you want to row,then row b!tches!

But if you want to get wide, grab that fcuking close grip handle and do your pull downs slow and controlled with that. You will feel the deference TRUST ME. Or my fave throw dat bixth on the pullup bar and hit it like that. But for now really, do the Arnold method you WILL see results PERIOD!!! Just go with a shoulder width grip and bust 'em out nice and slow.
 
The v bar handle is my favorite!Get a deep stretch at the bottom.............I feel like I'm fixing to get laid right now....You know the feeling!If you can,find a bar that will let you pull yourself up without hitting the bar.We have two bars that stick out to do neutral grips with,I stick it on one of those.I see guys stick on the wide grip bar though?You can't pull yourself up cause you hit the bar!So they lean back or sway their head to the side!Dumb@$$es!!!The neutral grip bars are on the other side of the bar.I mean 2 inches away........
