Healthy Fast food?

well its better than mcdonalds or taco bell thats for sure...fast food really doesnt fit well with healthy anyway. Subway takes the cake then.

Wait...Subway has cake now? Mmmmm....cake.

Subway is still probably the best...
But you still need to watch what you get there....
I can rack up those calories as the poor sap behind the counter keeps asking me what else I want on it....lol. Its all about self control.

Ok, I'll admit it. I spent $2 on two double cheeseburgers (dry) last night at Mickey D's. I took off the buns and just ate the burgers. Granted, I had an awesome leg workout early in the day and Im on the AD, but I can tell im definitely still below 10%. I have to resort to FF maybe once or twice a week, but I think if you know what macros are in the food you pick up at a drive-thru, you can make it work in your diet along with adjustments at other meals.

every once and a while there is always that unpredictable event or that sudden craving that throws my diet off. Its always enjoyable until after... Then I feel bad for cheating on my beloved homemade grilled chicken salad...lol

Invalid Link Removedin Colonia, NJ. I wish it was a chain, but sadly it isn't...

I used to go there all the time when I lived in NJ for a while. Somebody wanna franchise one and build it in Pennsylvania?

chick-fil-a is only a south/east coast type deal right? I went to one when i was in Atl fantastic chicken sandwiches, but none over here in the west

We got two in Albuquerque NM pretty recently. Well we had three i guess but it didn't sell well in one of our malls. It sells well at the University though. They're slowly migrating over.

The mcdonald's new southwest chicken sandwich or whatever it's called is garbage. I'm sick of them stealing **** aka the dollar menu. Everyone knows wendy's had it first, but now wendy's is stupid and they're dollar menu items are like finger food. what the fvck is that about?

Anyways anytime i eat fast food it's only chick fil a.

Fast Food Best/Worst
this should help with some fast food macros (you all have probably seen this already)

Chipotle- Went there yesterday, got a salad, with double meat(chicken and steak) medium salsa as dressing, and guacamole.

I watch the grocery ads for the best deals on chicken breasts or sirloin and buy like ten pounds at a time. If you cook it all off at once, julienne slice it up, and bag it in individual portions, it's great on-the-go. I Bring energy bars and whole grain bread for carbs, and try not to overcook the meat, chicken can have a little pink in the middle, in some countries they have chicken sushi, dry chicken is horrible cold.

I do this with 20lbs of chicken a week (even when it's not on sale). Definitely a big fan of pre-bagging all my meals. I dedicate about 5 hours every Sunday to preparing all of my food for the week. Makes it so much easier to eat right...

How long will cooked chicken, meats, etc. stay "fresh" or "good" in the fridge?

Can't give you a solid answer on that. But I cook my chicken on Sunday for, monday and tuesday, and tuesday night cook for wednesday, thrusday, and friday. By friday my chicken is a little chewy!

Panera Bread!!!!

I have a friend who owns a Subway. He does not eat the food and tells me not to eat it either. The turkey is mainly water and filled caragean (sp). Take a slice of their turkey and hold it up to a light, try and find the real turkey meat. The mostly opaque area that you see is the "glue" that is used to bind the turkey to the caragean and such, real nasty stuff. He also told me the wheat and white bread have sugar, HFCS in them and the roast beef is turkey based. Also, they hardly put much "meat" on the subs anyway. The chix is very highly processed and of low quality.

Not to mention that you can get a real quick luge, sweat, and dirt in your sandwich if you aint watching around here,or some long hair up in that light mayo...damn, disgusting.

I'll never eat there again...after that long stringy hair incident, im too thru with substank.

Cooked chicken is good for 4-5 days if stored under 40 degrees, if frozen, it's good for months, and if the meat is "changed", (cooked burger patties turned into chili after the 4-5 day window for example), it restarts the time till it goes bad.
Be sure to wrap everything air-tight and don't store uncooked meat above cooked meat.:dump: Individual portioning is the way to go.
