Taking xtend over night...Q

Recently i started taking Xtend during the night (id mix it up and sip on it all night, anything left id finish off when i woke up).

I got the idea in another thread on this topic...

iv only done this 2 times but iv noticed my sleep was not good, i woke up allot and it was very light sleep...im used to deep sleep with my ZMT.

I read this question in another thread which was never answered and i wanted to report it:

"Since it blocks entry of fatigue-inducing tryptophan into the brain, is it optimal to take it late at night, would this effect sleep?
would it effect L-theanine?"

Thanks! any info is appreciated...

I seem to recall in an old thread someone mentioning how they would mix up Xtend and drink it if they woke up during the night and they had some great gains during that period, and they didn't mention any sleep problems.

Personally I wake up, and if I'm hungry i'll take a spoon of some protein powder that I'm trying to get rid of or some nuts. That's an interesting question though. I personally don't think the BCAA's can interfere with tryptophan to that large a degree, but I'm sure someone more educated on this can chime in.

I always sip on BCAA's over the night. Lately I always wake up dehydrate and extremely thirsty so I leave a bottle of bulk BCAA's and flavored water next to my bed.

Great gains so far by doing this.

If it's interupting your sleep STOP doing it! Sleeping is awesome, that's when all of our lovely muscle building hormones are released, a slow releasing casein based protein shake with some fish oil or natural peanut butter 1 hour or so before bed is a MUCH better option.

i def would but i take ZMA and i dont want the calcium to mess with absorption...

im just not sure if these two nights were just a fluke or if others have experienced this...

im curious if the sucralose is doing it...
...if so maybe i could just get bulk bcaa ( although i hear it tastes like crap :( )

carbs and protein will slow GH production. That is if you get enoguh sleep to let the GH production happen.

I would say it is godo and bad, it fight catabolic state but may interfer with regular sleep cycle hormone release.

Yep, that was me. Never had ANY sleep problems directly traceable to BCAA intake, and noticed a trend towards increased recovery.
