The truth about AP & P-Slin?

I have been a reader on these boards for a long time, and have purchased 2 bottles of Anabolic Pump in the past, and more recently 2 bottles of P-Slin. I never really noticed dramatic results from either, and just wonder if I did something wrong or if I am a non-responder.

What I'm getting at is: what are the perfect carb sources to ingest, 15 minutes after taking the pill?

Also, are there truly AP non-responders or is it a result of being an "AP Pussy" and not doing it right?

I too felt nothing from it. I load with 50grams of oats and than 30 grams of protein some times more. Maybe you don't respond?
 
yeah, no supplement has a 100% effectiveness.

Even prescription meds don't always work for everybody.

The only difference is that there is less hype for meds, haha.

I took it as a lesson learnt, and have moved on with my life. :)
 
If you still have some left try dosing like 30 minutes before eating and see if that helps, also try popping a digestive enzyme with your meal if you can.
 
maybe try upping your carbs as well, I felt nothing when I first ran it but now get midday pumps with proper carbs (or wms). at least 40 g for ap, 75 from wms for pslin. I get wicked hypoglycemic if i take an ap and dont eat within 20 min, how I know it works...

Not every supplement will have the same effectiveness for all but try toying with your dosing/carb sources.

Secondly, you may very well be a nonresponder. Usually I find at least one of the two will work for almost everyone. For Pslin, try waxy maze with aminos (BCAAs, taurine, Beta alanine ect) and caffeine if you want, and then 15-20 minutes later eat some slow digesting carbs and protein. That's what worked best for me. BUt also try it with just slow digesting complex carbs, as everyone is different. Tinker around with it, but make sure you get ATLEAST 100g of carbs with your Pslin.

Have you tried using the PSlin yet? Perhaps the AP isn't strong enough for you. Could you pop a PSlin, then eat 80-100g of carbs and see if you feel hungry60-90mins later. For me personally, PSlin will make me feel hungry to the point where I usually end up downing my PWO shake because my body needs those carbs.

Also Dhuge, how big are you man? I haven't heard of anybody needing 2 caps of AP, but perhaps it's what you body needs (which will be pricey, but just throwing it out there). I would try manipulating the carbs before trying 2 caps though. Or perhaps you need an AP + some extra Yellow Gold.
 
I too was a nonresponder, after buying and using 2 bottles I was very disappointed but knew that there is never a 100% guarantee

Did you try AP and Pslin. I didn't get much from AP, but Pslin blew my socks off. It left me impressed and sockless.

I actually have another bottle of AP, and I'm going to give it another try, using the AP manual to get the most out of it, although I'm still skeptical.
 
For all of the non-responders in this thread, attempt to double-dose your AP, and tell me of the results. You may respond poorly to Berberine, but very positively to Corosolic Acid. This Berberine non-response may be the reason some respond very favourably to P-Slin, and not AP; by doubling your AP dose, you are doubling the Corosolic Acid intake which is the most verified GLUT4 regulator of all three ingredients (Berberine, Tannins, Gymnema). If you respond well to AP being double dosed than P-Slin would most definitely be a positive experience for you.

I've tried both AP and P-Slin but never noticed much. However, I did get hypoglycemic-feeling once in a while, and the same is true for when I took ALA.

What might this mean?

It means that you are experiencing the effects of AP/P-slin (also means you weren't taking in enough carbs to effectively utilize the product since you went hypo.)

Try the method Mullet outlined above.

That you're not taking in enough carbohydrates. Whatever you carb-load was, attempt 20-30g more until you find that sweet spot. Many will say "then it is not P-Slin, just the amount of carbs". In order to test that hypothesis, eat 100-100g of carbohydrates one hour prior to lifting without P-Slin one week, and with P-Slin the next.
 
I personally had the best results( strength and pumps) taking both AP and Pslin pre workout with 100 g of complex carbs..... They seem to be very synergistic

pslin took a while to work for me and i got annoyed with having to play around with food choices so much. i stop taking it a while ago to save it to use during my m-drol cycle. I'm hoping for some beasty gains. i have 15 pills left so i think i'll introduce it in the second week of my m-drol cycle. should be fun
 
as far as two P-Slin at once, i have dabbled with it but i need ~150g's from oats to not go hypo. i hate the hypo feeling so i will stick to 1 pill for now.

i have seen a decent amount of positive effects with the product but to each their own...
