Drive and IGF-2 on a recomp?

So i have 2 bottles of Drive and 2 IGF-2s i was planning on running in 3 weeks. I was planning on just straight bulking but i just recently became single and on top of that am transferring to a new school, all new ppl so i sorta wanna look good for da ladies :D Im thinking of not cutting, but recomping, maybe adding some LBM while cutting some fat at the same time. Im wondering if these are good for a recomp? I know some supps are best for bulking or cutting or recomping and was just wondering if anyone had done a recomp with these and how it went

My opinion: They work best in a recomp type situation. A few loggers reported weight loss or maintenance, decreased waist size coupled w/ strength increases, and overall improved appearance.

It makes for a hell of a recomp combo. I am running it right now and my strength is way up and I am losing fat a nice clip, too.

Ive never recomped, how do you suggest i run my macros?

On a cut i do
280g protein
240g carbs
70g fat

bulk
250g protein
550g carbs
100g fat

bulk with XF and ActivaTe Xtreme (jsut finished 2 weeks ago)
330g protein
650g carbs
110g fat

What do you suggest?
Maybe like
280g protein
400g carbs
100g fat?

Something that is right around maintenance kcals, maybe 100-200 extra per day. If anything, keep your protein the same and vary your fat and carb consumption.
 
Keep in mind that igf2 needs to be dosed away from carbs, so you might want to go a little lower on carbs, and higher on protien or fat to make up the diff if that is your target total calorie intake for maintenance.
 
It looks like you already decided but I'll also agree that both of them work on a recomp. I've taken them seperately without any changes to my diet (for loggin purposes) and either maintained or lost weight while my strength went up and in my opinion I leaned out. Together I'm sure they form a powerful combo!

Hmmm...i dont know. I NEED carbs to grow. I found this out this summer when i started at 475 carbs and slowly worked my way up to around 550 before i started growing...

I might experiment with higher fat tho, i need to see how i will work out the dosing

I have a lot of YG too :D

Probably gonna throw that in there since its dirt cheap and i already got like 300 caps, lol

(took me like 4 hours to cap it all :(

I've thought about that too, I actually right before I became a rep ordered some of the Budget Ergogenics banaba... But i didn't end up getting any IGF2 till just now. It does seem like a high enough nutrient repartitioner dose would kill any insulin response and allow taking in some amount of carbs near an IGF2 dose. But damn, 400g of carbs is a good bit ;) I rarely break 200g in a day.

I think i'll start trying it tomorrow preworkout. 3 igf2, 4 neovar, plus an extra 200mg of banaba, and then my usual preworkout eats of around 40g of carbs from quinoa. I should get 0 insulin response out of that.

its more about timing. At 3 doses of igf2 a day, use one prebed (which probably isn't near any carbs). Then you just have to pick 2 other times in your day where you can hopefully take the igf2 at least 45-60 minutes after a carb heavy meal, and then have 2 hrs after taking it before your next carby meal :)

I am eating somewhere between 250-300g of carbs and I take my IGF-2 about 60 minutes before breakfast, 45 minutes before lifting (I don't take any carbs pre-WO), and before bed.
 
my workouts are early morning, so if I dont get something in me, i'd collapse or catabolize at least. and the workouts are definitely better with at least a little bit o carbs, with or without a nutrient repartitioner. I'm thinking that if I take the igf2 say 1 hr preworkout, take the neovar/banaba 1/2hr preworkout, then breakfast 15 minutes preworkout i should minimize insulin. As a matter of fact, why haven't I opened this bottle of igf2 yet? :D

What about one dose IGF-2 45 mins before i eat breakfast, then hour after my pre workout meal (maybe during workout? i can just put it in my pocket or someting) then pre bed? (dont hae much carbs pre bed)

I dunnoa bout that tho, because i workout at night, usually at 8, then go to bed at 12. Is a dose say at like 8 am, 8pm, and 12 too wierd of timing?

I guess i could take it evernly spaced out, cause i eat ever 3 hrs so i wouldt ake it 45 mins after my carbs meal then eat again 2:15 mins later so would that work?

That should be fine, the GH rise lasts normally somewhere between 90-120 minutes, and the insulin spike from most meals is gone (or at least tapering down) within 45 min of eating.
 
Rodja's concept on the insulin manipulation seems to pan out some in real-world use so far.... the combo of Neovar w/ IGF-2 would be similar to what you mention above, and it seems to have a much better overall effect among users than either product alone.

So for my yellow gold should i dose it with the meals befoer i take the IGF-2?

As long as you are taking them 45-60 mintues before your meal. IGF-2 MUST be taken at least that amount of time before a meal in order for it to be fully effective.
 
I ran the entire AN stack for a bulk/recomp and saw excellent results. Marked muscle hardening, vascularity, and very nice strength increases. I am generally a pretty lean ectomorph but I do think I shed a small amount of bodyfat as well. In short, I felt shredded up, pumped up, and was strong as a bull while on Drive, IGF-2, NeoVar, and RPM. Overally, this is one of the best (if not the best) stack I've ever used.

Also with drive should i just jump right into 4 caps a day? I think im gona do 4 a day for a couple days to start out then bump up to 6 so it lasts me the full 40 days!
 
I do 8 at your weight. Do 3 in the morning, 2 in the afternoon, and 3 before bed. Your only 185? you look huge man!

yeah. Heh. Was 198 but am in the middle of a cut. actually im like 187 right. And yeah, i look way bigger than i weigh. I have really small joints, that helps. Besides my joints i dont really know why i dont weigh much but look bigger :confused:

Personally, I take my Drive & RPM upon waking. 15 minutes later take my P-Slin & Cissus. 15 min later drink pre workout mix of 1cp fine ground oats, 1/2 cup 1%, 1 banana & 1.5 cups water. 1 hr later take PowerFull, Swell and head to the gym with a tub of Xtend.

I know PowerFull is not IGF-2 but they are very similar. This has been working really well for me. FWIW

I'd take 2 a day on drive the first couple days, then 4, then 6. just to avoid forskolin fudge...

No prob man! Yea, you just look huge, like around 220 or so, at least to me. Funny your cutting during the winter, most just cut around spring to be ready for summer. I ussually take your path, except this year, because it keeps you strict during christmas time when most put on 10+ pounds.

ha. yeah, actually i do 7-10 week bulks followed by a 4 week cut. So this is just a mini cut that i extended a little bit. I actually have decided to not "bulk" any more and just try to stay lean and try to add around 10 lbs a year. Also im transferring schools and got some womenz that got expectations of mad sexyness so i gotta get them abs before i go :D

My real cut will be in spring tho, im hoping to maintain 10-11% then cut down to around 8% which would be bad ass. Ppl might question why i cut and end up at 185 (cause thats small for most ppl on this site) but i carry my weight very well so i look damn good at 185 :D At this point im just gonna concentrate on streangth while trying to stay lean, dont think it will be too hard. Also trying to rehab my shoulder, going to the doctor again on monday. Its been ****ed for 6 months now, havnt been able to hit shoulders or chest since. Probably lost atleast 5 lbs off my chest/shoulders since last yeah :( Hopefully they can fix me...

no, i havnt. I dont think i could handle the anavar-like power

also for drive, i eat 1 hr pre workout, but it says take one dose 1 hr pre workout, what do i do?
 
take it an hour before that. its not a big preworkout stim, there is no caffeine in it....

Really the research on forskolin is pretty sound though. I was re-reading thru the earlier posts, and i'm thinking it would fit what you are trying to do pretty well

Hmm, well in the last 2 weeks i have already put in 2 orders to Nutra, so i wont need one for a while. Im cutting do my spring cut in a couple months so maybe then. Is it better for a recomp or cut?
 
seems more of a recomp, but wouldn't be bad on a cut either, as it would help with lean mass during that time
 
The recomp and fatloss effects of Drive are amazing. One could use it either on a cut or a bulk and still get the fat loss, strength/muscle building effects from it.

sweet. Just did 2 days of 2 Drives a day, not gonna do 2 days of 4/day, then 6/day for the rest of the bottles
