Is it sad that I actually listen to a lot of Depeche Mode?

My favorite cover song is "Jack the Ripper" originally done by The Smiths and covered by AFI.
 
the shinedown cover of simple man sounds better IMHO, he did a great job with that

there's a cover out there of atreyu doing "you give love a bad name", the vocals are vastly different but the guitar sounds great

I liked the Deftones cover of "Simple Man" better. I love Chino's vocals. Atreyu does a cover of Faith No More's "Epic" on their new album. It's not too bad, but it's not nearly as good as the original. And I'm sorry, but KsE is one of my favorite bands. I really liked their "Holy Diver" cover...better than the original might I add.

If Atreyu did a cover of Epic, it isn't on any of their CD's.

it definitely is on their most recent one, the one with "becoming the bull" on it. the cd has only been out a few months i believe

XJ, i figured out the problem. I just looked at the back cover and it's a hidden track, it's the very last one. Inside the liner notes it tells who helped produce it and stuff though

On Lead Sails Paper Anchor the "Bonus Track" (track 12) is actually the Faith No More cover. The new CD is definitely different then their older stuff, but I like it.

And the Deftones cover's on their B-Sides and Rarities CD are really good.
 
Speaking of Faith No More, has anyone heard Mike Patton and The Dillinger Escape Plan's cover of Aphex Twin's Come to Daddy?

amazingly I own the cds (or movies) of all of the ones i've posted, and I dare you to say anything about that :) Imagine listening to the carpenters in a 1968 corvette with a 450 watt RMS sound system ;)
