The Scary Cycle - P-Plex + Epistane (begins on Halloween)

Things are starting to get interesting.

I did arms/shoulders tonight and the pump was unnecessarily huge. My weight is up 2 lbs in 4 days. I think this has the making of a very good cycle. The key is that I took a good amount of time off from my last cycle so I think my body was sort of primed for the reintroduction of these compounds.

I did standing barbell overhead presses that turn into push presses as the set goes on...using 155 lbs.

6 reps with no "push" action, then 3 reps with the push.
5 and 3
5 and 3
4 and 2

Those sets were supersetted with upright rows with an EZ bar - 8-10 reps with only 80 lbs. Just a little something to add tension.

I followed this with light but high rep seated DB presses (yes, I did these yesterday). 4 x 12 with 65s, 60s, 55s, 55s. These 4 sets were supersetted with bodyweight overhand pull-ups (10, 8, 7, 5).

Flat BB Bench with 225x5 followed immediately by closed-grip BB incline bench with only 95 lbs for as many reps as possible (it went something like 15, 12, 9, 7).

Then I did some cable curls and bb curls supersetted with pull ups.

PS - my legs hurt like hell today from the squats/lunges. My jeans are beginning to get tight as hell in the inner-thigh area, as well as in the ass. The waist is shrinking but the glutes/hams/quads are getting bigger. Good sign, I guess. I almost only wear black warm up pants now. I'm liking the pair I got from WarriorWear.

I'm going to do back tonight (rack-pulls and rowing movements). I'll weigh in before the workout to see what's happening on this day (5) of the cycle.

I tried spreading the dose out today, and took 10 mg of Epistane in the morning, took 10 mg Epistane at 3:00 PM, and will take 15 mg P-Plex an hour prior to the workout (5:30).
 
Still haven't had anything "kick-in" yet.

Rack pulls - 6 sets of 4 at 405 lbs
Followed by a lot of supersetted rowing movements.

Day 5 - Weight is up to 193.5

4 to 4.5 lbs in 5 days...nice, but seeing the strength yet. Feel fuller in the chest/back/arms/shoulders

Edit: a reminder that my weight gain had stalled out at 189 for about 2 or 3 weeks before begining this cycle.

for me P-Plex had my weight shooting up in the first week, i didn't get much strength but i felt like i had more endurance. 2nd week i got the strength kick.
 
Day 6

BB Bench Press - 250 x 3 x 5 sets
Incline DB Bench - 210 x 6 x 4 sets
Triceps exercises

Feel great, weight is almost at 195.
 
Day 8

Tomorrow I jack P-Plex up to 30 mg with the 20 mg of Epistane.

No sides yet, except for (lean) weight gain and a slight strength increase.
 
Good progress. Keep the doses as spread out as possible over the day. Imho, this will lead to less sides. Everyone's opinion on this varies however.

Thanks for the input! I've been taking 10 mg of Epistane in the morning, and then 10 mg Epistane + 15 mg P-Plex about an hour pre-workout.

I think I'll do 10 mg Epistane in the morning, then 15 mg P-Plex around noon, and then the 10+15 pre-workout around 3 or so.

i think bumping epi to 30 would be fine..

ewwww, thats why pct is important, next time tell us what your PCT was what your past history is like (if you ever had gyno before etc etc) did you run a pulse or straight....

Yikes...what was your pct like and when did you begin noticing symptoms?

Did you use any anti-estrogens while on cycle?

couple weeks after i finished with my tormifene 90/90/60/30.

im fighting off painful nipples with a small lump forming under my left nipple.

So the strength gains kicked in tonight. This is actually pretty crazy, but hear me out!

I weighed in lighter at 193, but I felt great...

I lifted twice today. Once from 2:00 to 3:15 and then 7:45 to 8:45 or so.

Lift #1 - DB Bench - 240x3, 230x4, 230x4, 230x4, 230x3

Circuit of DB High Incline Press (light) - 160 x 10
Followed by DB Rows - 100 lbs x 6
90 second rest
Weighted dips x 6
Rows x 12
Pull Ups x 4
Curls x 5
Repeat 2 more times

Workout Number 2

Barbell Bench Press - 275 x 1, 275 x 1, 280 x 1 (PR!!!)
Then some squat thrusters and pull ups

I hit a damn PR after already performing practically the same exercise earlier in the day!

Not only did I grease the groove by not going to failure earlier in the day, but I left volume and intensity low enough that workout #1 served as a fantastic primer for the PR tonight.

I also always lift stronger in the evening.

Anyway, I'm pretty thrilled with the bench press.

Looks like this cycle is about to really kick in, and yet, I'm already pleased with my gains and this is just day 8!!!

Didn't have too much time to train today so I didn't weigh-in, but will tomorrow.

I did a 45 minute workout consisting of 3 movements: Incline DB Bench Press, Weighted Pull Ups, and Chest-Supported Rows.

All went well and I'm feeling stronger.
 
Formestane through your PCT would be good, throw in some Post Cycle Support or Dermacrine Sustain sounds exciting. You could also ramp down on the Epistane etc and ramp up on the DermS + Form + Post Cycle Support.

I just popped int o say good luck an dlokos solid. PPlex is a little known for sides but oh well.
I have a bottle but not sure i want to run it at all. I forgot about Havoc but this reminded me, thank you.
 
Day 11

Major strength increase noticed today for Shoulders + Arms day.

Seated DB shoulder presses - 90 lb (180lbs) Dumbbells by 6! A huge increase.

Closed grip bench - 225 x 8

Those are the most notable things from today.

Weight is at 195
 
196 lbs. I can tell my BF is lower.

Incline bench hit a PR - 235 x 5 for 3 sets, dropped to 225 x 4 for 3 sets

My elbows are aching, but no noticeable lethargy or shutdown yet.

Why dont you pick up some Cissius or Glucosasmine(sp?) for those joints? Also, at sports store(i go to sports authority) they have elbow straps for "tennis elbow" try those, i know alot of people who saythey work.

I should probably get a set of those. my left elbow never quite 100% heals. which is mostly cause I don't take enough time off for it to heal. a week out of the gym and I get antsy :) and theres not much I can do while totally leaving my left arm out.

Major improvements - Day 16

I did squats and rack-pulls yesterday. Squats are nothing to write home about as I'm dealing with a tight IT band issue. Rack pulls were good and repping with 485 lbs.

Bench press - worked up to 3 sets of 2 reps at 275 lbs. Then dropped to 245 for 5 sets of 4. Got all 4 sets.

DB Incline Bench - 4 sets of 5 at 200 lbs. Supersetted with cable flies.

Seated Rows - 180 lbs x 15, 160 x 12, 160 x 8, 135 x 15, 135 x 10
Pull Ups - Bodyweight x 6 for 4 sets

--- Second workout (5 hours later)

BB clean into overhead press - 55 lb olympic plates (155 lbs) x 4 sets of 5 supersetted with upright rows (7-8 reps)

Close-grip pull ups supersetted with Thick-EZ Curl. 4 sets. 9 pull ups and 5 curls, 8 pull ups and 5 curls, 7 pull ups and 4 curls, 7 pull ups and 4 curls

Seated rows with 135 lbs for 3 sets of as many reps as possible to try and balance out all of this pressing.

Monster day. Time to eat.

I wish I were stronger for my weight. I want to be benching 350 or more at near 200 lbs. I feel like when I come off, i'm just going to have to be a lot more responsible about my volume and recovery if i'm going to make the kind of strength gains I'm capable of.

Being ON is nice because you can do everything hard, twice a week, where being off you have to be more reserved otherwise you just overshoot your own recovery abilities. That's how it is for me, I guess.

However, I wonder if the powerlifters that follow West Side etc, are on the juice AND only life 3-4 days a week? Maybe that's where these extraordinary strength-guys are getting it? It just seems to me that some of these totals have to be drug-influenced. At least in many, many cases.

I use to post on a very powerlifting focused board (no longer exists unfortunately). The guys on there that juiced were few and far between and they were very strong. They all followed west side. They preached constantly about eating and resting more. I just remember them drilling that into my skinny ass head over and over.

Good log though bro.

If that's the case then I'm sure that my slower natural results are a factor of overtraining and training near maximal weights too often. I just need to stick to a west side/elite fts template and go with it.

However, one of my favorite powerlifters (matt kroczaleski), has a day job as a pharmacist when he isn't out winning meets. Just sayin'.

maybe bump Epi but i dont think PPlexis worth upping. The side chances go up more than Epi. I dont know to much about PP though, not one that really interest me.
 
Great log Dhuge. Ur numbers are damn nice. I may have missed it but what day are u on now? I agree I would bump the Epi and not the PP. I would hold off a few days with the Epi too.
