Caffeine really helps kick off the formula in terms of providing a quick and then a sustained energy release and if you go over various user logs you can see that due to the way the formula is designed that you dont see individuals report a crash from the product.
200 mg of caffeine has always been pretty much the standard dose in this industry on thermos and energy products. Also, according to a chart online, 200 mg of caffeine is the equivelanet of 2 cups of coffee.
We have looked into the idea of doing a caffeine free version, but am not sure if there is enough demand at this point.

I'm not especially sensitive to caffeine so I'm not a good judge of that but my coworker (who now loves Focus XT) reports that she is. When I showed her the caffeine content she was shocked and told me that this didn't cause any of the negative effects she normally gets with caffeine. I can only speculate as to why.....but yeah, this like most nootropics is going to come down to individual body chemistry.
Domo arigato to both of you for the insights and assurances on the caffeine concern. Any of you have any sleep issues if you use
Focus XT or
coffee in the evening? I usually exercise in the evening & prefer to use this type of product 20-30 minutes prior to exercise.
My concern is that if I put caffeine in my system too late in the day, I'll have a restless night. I'm not quite as sensitive to coffee as I was 15-20 yrs ago but I am still wary of putting large amounts caffeine in my body in the evening.
Back in the day... when I was competing a lot during the '80s, as little as 1/3 cup of coffee was too much for me. It would act as an ergogenic aid for about 30 minutes and then the jitters would hit me & degrade my preformance. Haven't really had this type of experience with any energy powders or drinks that I've been using for the past (scant) decade.
I did find that NeuroStim+C worked better for me than the unleaded version. Quite often tho' I'd use only a 2/3 dose of the +C stuff. Sometimes, I'd supplement this with PowerDrive (which I believe does not use caffeine). However, there were a few times that I used a full dose of NS +C (125mg caffeine) in concert with a half cup of coffee. I don't believe that I suffered any consequences with the latter NS combination so, hopefully, the caffeine in
Focus XT won't be an issue either.
Did I see someone mention in this thread that they still had very good results with a lesser dosage of Focus XT?
SNS, have you guys considered a reduced-caffeine version rather than a decaf version of Focus XT? A low-caffeine variation may be more appropriate for evening use or for ADD (ADHD) individuals that want
some caffeine but not too much. Don't know if this idea works for you either at this time since, as you mentioned in an earlier post, the NueroStim ppl decided that their decaf version wasn't selling after they introduced their +C version. Something to consider tho'. There may be a market if you rename the alternate version.
Looking forward to see my Focus XT arrive in the post since it appears to have a lotta gr8 stuff in the formula.
(Ooops, sorry about encroaching on your log
yeahright. Gotta a little carried away with the length of my last 2 posts; new to this whole log concept).
