the elliptical is HIIT, the bike is warmup, and row cooldown. worked pretty nice. This cut phase should go gangbusters. Hey all you guys, when you get some time ;) can you look at my last post in the PAL transformation log and tell me what you think of change in bf % over the last month if any?

Put the pics side to side.

I can't help but get a little chubby just watching and listening to these. I am just afraid it is a train wreck just waiting to happen. Not to mention tickets start at $50 before service charges.

I always thought the background on your avy looked like Eddie's guitar! Am I right? Huh? Huh?

That's what made them so good...they always wanted to kill each other! :head:

I put your 2 relaxed front shots next to each other, and looks like you've put on some BF. It may be the angle or the shorts, but the waist looks larger.

pants fit about the same, so it can't be too horribly much i'd think. I was judging it being lower based on definition of veins on my wrists/forearms

That's not the best indicator. Definition of veins can be influenced by lots besides your bodyfat. It's easier to notice fat gains in the midsection. Your pictures looked like it was a little larger in that area.

Also, E...your BF measurement in one spot is not reflective of your actually BF%. Some of us are leaner in some areas than others. Try to do at least 4 points or more if someone can do it for you.

If we said a half inch at waist, what would that likely equate to lbs o fat wise you think?

Find your current waist diameter.
Then we use a spherical approximation to find the volume difference with this formula where D1 and D2 are waist diameters in meters:
(pi/6)*(D1^3-D2^3)

Now we know that the density of human fat is .9 g/mL, so we can convert into a unit of weight from our previous volume measurement by multiplying by (1000 L / 1 m^3) * (.9 kg / 1 Liter fat)

So in full use this formula to get kilograms of fat difference from a change in waist diameter...

(pi/6)*(D1^3-D2^3) * 1000 * .9

:whip:

nyce...

caliper readings are the same within margin of error of my measuring. so around 11-12mm at the suprailliac

Did I mention you are like a woman?

:toofunny:

You arguing does not affect the bottom line :nono:

If you want someone to lie to you, or agree with you. You are in the wrong forum....

I guess I just wait and see what I look like when I get back to 200 :) and then the bodpod will give me starting point for accuracy

You are spending too much time talking about how much you spend, and what tests you are gonna do, what to do next, what cycle, etc, etc, mother focking etc....

I think the one spot method leaves me feeling better :D actually i signed up for a bodpod test in october

Yeah, I know how you feel. But like J alluded to...the truth does not change with our ability to stomach it. :D

And, I hate to tell you this...but you are higher than 15% :run:

Sorry, bro.

Jay, I like the tat...did that hurt? :D You look like a white Tyson!

I wouldn't be surprised at that I don't really have much to gauge off besides the calipers + my own inexpert use of them. I think the gym might do a multi-point caliper measurement as a part of joining, i'll have to call and see

That's a good idea. That will give you a good baseline. Try to have the same person do the test everytime to improve the likelihood of it being accurate.

not even particularly close. I'm just trying to figure out targets + goals, and its hard for me to guess what sort of time frame to wrap around it if I dont know how much I likely need to loose

I love being Spanish. Grew up being called a spic, wet back, beaner, honkey, etc. And I even got called a pocho in Mexico :head:

I grew up around other Hispanics, mostly Cubans so I didn't exeperince any type of racsim until I took a road trip to Michigan when I was 17 in 1988. It was a lifechanging event for me.

Cartersville GA was fun! LOL When we got to Michigan, people kept asking us if we spoke English! When we told them we were from Miami they left us alone...all they knew about Miami was Scarface and Miami Vice :numbered:

slightly depressing, but not entirely :) since it just means it will take longer is all. And its a marathon, not a sprint anyhow

Good attitude! This is a LIFESTYLE change, not a quick fix. Even if you got to 10% tomorrow, you would still have to maintain it. Keep working at it...the journey is part of the success.

BTW...I know this is blasphemous...but...RPM...not really feeling it anymore! :ntome:

I am ashamed...maybe I need some Reset AD

Yeah, its more about the "how long before I can hit 10%" so I can plan out postive goals along the way. I guess too that what % of total body is fat looks different on different people anyhow, so I wont think about it too much till I can get a more serious measurement done by someone else
