Applied Nutriceuticals wants a few Neovar Logs

You guys all squared away on dosing timings, meals, etc?

I weigh about 215 so I willbe taking 4 caps twice per day. MY understanding is that the first dose should be taken with at least 50 g of complex carbs. Post work out dose should be with at least 50 grams complex carbs plus additional simple carbs. I take at least 40 grams of protein with every meal.

sounds good! you may be able to tailor the carbs up or down based on personal tolerance. I can go as low as 25g within an hour of neovar, and not have any negatives. And as high as 75g of simple carbs + 50g complex post workout with neovar and not feel an insulin spike, but thats just me specifically. Thats one of the slight challenges of any nutrient partitioner type supplement, it may require a little finnessing in the diet department based on personal insulin sensitivity so people who aren't very diet focused may have issues.
 
oh I wanted to add, I consider fruit based sources as complex carbs for what I said to devil, so grapefruit juice, bannannas, etc.

I can tolerate an insane amount of carbs no problem.
 
Easy is actually the resident expert on Neovar usage. I'd back darn near anything he says about it. Hard to believe? believe it.
 
Easy you are the man! YEa I can go as low as about 35-40 grams of carbs an hour after my NeoVar and not get any sides, and also go up to about 100 without feeling the insulin levels go whack.
 
I took it today in the morning, worked out about an hour ago, and took it with a cup of oats and my protein shake after working out. Now I'm feeling heavily stim'd, is that a standard reaction? Slight shortness of breath, beating heart, jittery.

I took my RPM before as well, so I'm wondering if thats not hitting me hard for some reason...


I'm working on the opening of my log now, I'll have it up tomorrow night.
 
prolly just teh RPM kicking in now, Although NeoVar does make better use of your carbs, more for energy and growth, less for fat.
 
since neovar is doing the overall nutrient partitioning, it will force feed other nutrients (like whats in RPM) into your muscles too. so it can increase effect of other stuff

gatorade, white rice once, mostly white bread + marshmellow fluff. I liked doing the fluffernutters, using peanut, almond or sunflower butter for the sandwich. nice that way. Otherwise I end up with the semi-complex carbs from fruit juice or fruits.

I think I'll go with gatorade or some similar drink. It seems like I would ge the fastest absorbtion that way.
 
In AZ too..Haven't received mine yet, though the mail usually gets here a few hours from now.

I'll dose 3 caps in the am with a whole wheat bagel, 45 grams of protein and a banana if necessary if I get hypo (probably not).

Workout times are all over the place so I'll dose the post WO portion (3 caps) accordingly with 45 grams of protein and close to 50 grams of ground oats.

I'll be shooting for a lean bulk so fats will be on the lower side except for the inevitable cheat. IF I start making great gains but have a hard time recovering, I then just go crazy for calories. Always happens..I get greedy for gains and throw the "lean" part out the window. lol

I got my Neovar today. Thanks AN! You guys ROCK! It is my understanding that this should be taking immediately before/after a high carb meal. I usually have a whole wheat bagel with PB in the morning. Would a post workout shake with WMS count or do you want more complex carbs like my evening meal?


I'll probably be taking 7 pills a day divided into 4/3 dosage. It should last me around 4 3/4 weeks at that rate.

Remind me of when you typically workout? I'm thinking before the morning bagel, and immediately post workout should be golden!

I usually workout anywhere between 4 and 6pm usually 4:30-5:30 in the afternoon. Is WMS and/or malto/dex good enough carbs or are you thinking more along the lines of oats 30 minutes later? It would be easiest for me to just take it right after working out with my WMS and BCAA mixture.
 
I think what you're doing will work just fine. Go w/ 1st dose in the morning, 2nd dose post workout.

It might be worth switching it out (WMS vs oats) once or twice just to see if you notice any difference, but WMS and BCAAs should do ya good.

Agree completely. Regardless of what other carbohydrate source I take post-work out with NeoVar, I always add a banana (I hope we mean the same "banana", lol!). Rounds up the experience nicely.
