Oh, such testing would not be logged. Outside opinions add undesired dimensions.possible problem with that, if you tell testers up front some of the bottles are bogus you might get anti-placebo effect. if you dont tell them up front you might loose some credibility. its a catch 22. possible solution is paid volunteers outside of forums, maybe $50 for testing it. im sure university's and labs do it all the time.
It is illegal to withhold information from testers. Each tester would need to receive an detailed explanation of the study, and sign off that they understand the terms. Of course, this limits the effectiveness of such research procedures, but it's an ethical dilema.
