Chest day last night and it went like this:

Incline bench press

DB incline press

90x8

Flat flyes
4x12

Cable crossovers superset with pushups
4x8
10 pushups between each set

Yeah I'm trying very hard to clean bulk. Especially with my crohns I'm trying not to dump a bunch of crap in my body. My diet is mostly chicken tuna oats lean deli meat eggs peanut butter fruit and almonds.

My diet on a normal day

6am- weight gainer shake
8am- oatmeal, banana, 3 eggs
10am- yogurt almonds
11:30am-protein shake
1pm-large sub sandwich and fruit
3pm- 6oz tuna
5pm-protein shake
6pm-banana, almonds
7:30pm-protein shake (after workout)
8:30pm- 2 whole chicken breasts
10pm-casein protein shake

Obviously this varies and some days I eat more than this but this is a typical normal day for me for the most part. Thoughts?? Suggestions??
That looks like a very good & clean diet. The only thing I'd change is add a decent amt of carbs for right after workouts. I assume the "protein shake" after workout is only protein, but from what I've read on more than a few occasions after glycogen consuming workouts (aka workouts) you need carbs:protein at a 2:1 ratio. Maybe you could get away with less like 1.5 or 1:1, but definitely need to have carbs after workout that's a critical time, especially if you're going for gaining muscle & mass.

Ok I'll incorporate carbs right after my workout as well. Suggestions? I don't want anything to heavy like pasta as I think I'll feel very full. Also should I consume them right after or say an hour after my workout with my meal?

Looking lean bro....I was wondering does anyone take in say a cookie or so post workout with your protein shake? For the insulin spike and for the simple carbs?

Not a cookie exactly but I'm with you on the simple carbs right after and before workout. Pre-workout my latest favorite has been rice crispy treats, 57 g carbs 26 sugar, 2 protein and 8 fat. After workout I take Size-Up from met-rx and that's like 60 g protein 80 carbs + a banana.

Right after for sure, there's a window of like 15 to 45 min after your workout where your muscles are like a sponge. Even throwing in a banana with your protein (I personally love banana + chocolate) would be much better than just protein. But I prefer a shake like either Size-Up from Met-Rx or Tech X Mass from Bodytech. 4 scoops is 60 g protein / 80 or 90 g carbs but you can tweak it like 3 scoops + a scoop of just whey if you want the same protein but not so many carbs.

I think it's better for you / easier to digest liquid nutrients right after workout anyway, and then have a good meal like hour and a half or two hrs later. Dude if you haven't been eating carbs post workout you will blow up! Probably get a lot stronger too, especially on this cycle.

I don't like to take in carbs before workout. I like to burn out the fat instead. At the moment I'm taking little to no carbs.

Besides size up from met-rx I found universals torrent. Have you taken that before? Seems like it wouldn't be so "heavy" with only 99g per serving versus 167g. 300 less calories than met-rx as well.

Just wondering as I take a weight gainer shake right away as I wake up would this be similar to that?

Considering either one as my post workout. Thoughts?

Haven't tried that one yet, but you can always mix and match with regular whey, fruit or whatever to make it the exact ratio you want. Most of them have only a little fat like 5 grams, but remember you can always just do less than the full amount. Most of them are 4 scoops a lot of time I'll do 3 scoops so that it's not too much I agree 170 g is a lot at once.

Halfhuman you're definitely right that you burn more fat that way, but it just depends on what you're going for. I just make sure to have light protein and carbs an hr to a half hr before a workout bc there's nothing I hate worse than getting hungry a little more than halfway through a workout. I need to start looking into different options tho like carb cycling etc. bc I need to cut up a lil.

Quick question: It's definitely not out of the realm of possibility to recomp on a Test E only cycle right? When I look it up online it usually only says "for bulking" but let me know what you think...maybe go for bulk now (wk 1-4) and focus on more of a recomp diet 7-11 and add winny??

Hey guys noticed something weird tonight while in the gym. My ankles are really swollen. Like swollen swollen. Now I was on my feet a lot all weekend played 18 holes of golf yesterday and was out really late.

Worried about high blood pressure and retaining fluid.

Any thoughts cuz its freaking me out a little bit...

Yeah the thing is there is no pain or anything else going on besides a little bit of swelling right in my ankles. And it's both ankles.

Usually I split my dbol up into 2 10mg tabs a day but yesterday I just took the whole thing about an hour before I worked out an then when I was in the gym that's when I started noticing it. Could that possibly be it?

Also I had 2 McDonald's apple pies before I worked out to get some carbs in my system.

Swelling has gone down a little today. I'm going to get my BP checked and drink a lot of water and see if that helps. Not as worried about it today, last night I had some pretty bad anxiety about it.

Also going to start taking arimidex at .5 a day here shortly.

I wouldn't worry about the ankle thing to much man. As long as its going down and your bp is good.

For adex it takes about 7 days at .5mg ed to establish good blood levels. Then you can dose it eod. I personally dose 1mg ed for a week then 1mg EOD after that. If your joints start to hurt then lower your dose. You just want to lower your estrogen by 50%ish not crush it or eliminate it altogether.

Perfect thanks I'll dose it the same way. Honestly I'm not to worried about excess estrogen right now. I don't think that's really the cause of my swelling. I feel really good outside of the fact I freaked out last night about my ankles lol.

I'll check my BP later and let you guys know how it is.

That's good your not worried. It is something you want to keep under control tho. I am semi prone to gyno if I let my estro get out of control but as long as I don't let it get way out of wack I'm fine. The best way I judge is by how my joints feel and look in the mirror. If I look bloated or like I'm holding a ton of water (and I know my diet is in check.. that's key) then I can guess my estro is higher than needed.

When you are "on" tho you want some water retention to help push nutrients, help your body stay lubed, keep immune system up etc etc.. but to much is bad in my opinion.

Good luck man and so far it looks like its going well (cept for the random kankles Haha)

Hoping to be 210 by the end of the week.

Just checked my BP and it's 126 over 73 so in the normal range. Good news there. Still slight swelling in my ankles but it's gone done since yesterday for sure.

Just hit the supplement store again. 300 bucks and thats getting a hook up. Getting big is expensive haha picked up universals torrent for carbs in my post workout. Realized I'm not taking in near enough carbs everyday.

Also bought "black out" to help me sleep. Heard this stuff was amazing. Anyone used it before?

Sleep Natural Sleep Aid produced by NatureMade can be bought at walmart and it works really well for me.. I don't take it anymore cause I'm out, but it definitely helped.

pretty sure it's all melatonin with a few extra herbs and whatever. lol.
But it totally ****s on musclepharm ZMA in my experience, so.

Ah I see thanks brother, yeah dude I've been hip to the melatonin scene since like 13 haha. Definitely helps a little, but now I take it pretty much every weeknight.

I recommend that of course and there's something made by a company called ProHealth called "L-Theanine Calm-Plex" which is pretty good added to the melatonin. It has theanine, GABA & 5-HTP definitely helps relax before bed. Sleep is very underrated in bodybuilding, and it's definitely one of my weak points!

The page won't load on ****, but I've checked that out and it doesn't look like anything groundbreaking; it has the usual suspects of natural sleep aid - valerian root I remember was the first, I think, ingredient mentioned, which is as innocuous as a drop of lavender on your pillow in my opinion...I think it might have melatonin and either 5HTP and / or GABA, so if you're looking into that see if you can get the ingredients much cheaper, which I'm pretty sure you can.

Yeah I have had sleep problems for as long as I can remember. Haven't slept 8 hours straight in yeah i cant even remember lol My guy who I trust at my supplement store said him and his wife swear by this stuff she sad she uses it every night now. I will try it and let you know the results.

Your right doesn't look like anything groundbreaking but that doesn't mean it won't be great for some and not so great for others.

I'll try it and let you know.

I have tried a bunch of stuff. I haven't had a solid 8 hours of sleep since Afghanistan 3 years ago lol I was up for 72 hours straight and slept like a rock for 12 lol we would pop no-doz and drink no-xpolode to stay awake on post and running convoys.

My mother had Crohns and she got rid of it completely, for good. I'll ask her how she did it and Ill let you know. hopefully it will work for you as well.

I have heard claims of people curing it with pig worms or certain diets and things. It would be interesting to see what she says. Thanks for looking into it. I'm open to trying almost anything out.

Cialis is always the way to go in my book, just 1/2 or 1 for 2 or 3 days. Man maybe I'm a little happy I'm not running the deca this time, but I can imagine C-Dogs solves that one quickly.

That's legit advice. Cialis or caber will be your best two bets. Both about the same price most places.

True that and I would suppose Caber is better for prevention + increasing libido, Cialis or Viagra just helps you pitch tents all the time.

Well, she claims she got rid of it for good, I don't know.

This is what she said she did:

She said get yourself some gastrointestinal support called "Sustain" from Metagenics as well as something called "Digest-a-sure". Take those 3 times a day until you feel totally recovered, it will take a while she said but do it faithfully and she swears it will work. Then after you feel you're good you need to get an endoscopy or colonoscopy done to verify that you are indeed better.

The whole time you're taking these supps she said to eliminate all: meat, cheese, dairy, coffee, spicy food, alchohol, fried foods, tomato sauces and sauces in general. You can eat starches but minimal starches she said. Basically anything that will irritate you and cause firther inflammation of the crohns.

She said a big bonus would be to find fresh aloe and eat it. Not the skin, just the crystals or the inside I guess is what she meant. If you can't find fresh then aloe vera in a bottle will do, it will help subdue the inflammation that is causing the irritation and soothe you.

And then she said to also take liquid chlorophyll and flax seed oil if you can as well.

It was super hard on her during this time because the nature of this disease is so wicked that just about all of todays foods(processed and what not) will aggravate and irritate it . She had a hard time finding things she could eat that didn't contain any of the above so it was a lot of planning and preparation on her part and I suspect you'll have to do the same if you want to give it a shot.

Just started this Dorian Yates workout. Doing it for the next four weeks or so with a few changes. This thing destroyed my chest and bi's today. Minimal sets little rest and big weight. Wow bananas. Will need a day off tomorrow.

Never hurts to listen to a 6 time mr. Olympia.

Love it. It's really showed me what I should be getting out of every workout and how to really wear a muscle group down. Now, I don't follow it lift for lift exactly, I've added a few different ones that I've put into rotation. Back is probably the best. I love hitting the lats. Really taught me how to hit the lats. Now they screammmmmmmm every time. haha.
