Chest/ light leg

Started with incline dumbell flyes for 15 reps then stood and did 15 dumbell deadlifts for 4 sets.

Then we did cable flyes for 15 reps at 40lbs with 20 pop squats for 4 sets.

Then we did pec deck for 10 reps with standing lunges at 10 per leg for 4 sets.

Then we did the flat barbell bench with the leg lift incorporated to meet the bar as you go up at 65lbs for 10 reps and 4 sets.

Then we did 15 reg push ups with 50 mountain climbers...all in all an easy night.

No, pity. AN isn't doing a booth, and I don't really have the $ to do it just for fun. And can't quite convince my wife to do a family vacation in ohio around it.
We are sharing a booth with Vitamin Shoppe, exhibiting from 1200-1500 each day. It's SOMEthing. And the expo will be a blast, an experience, regardless...

Ok so I picked up some Combat powder today to make my shakes with. I do fairly well on this in regards to retaining or building muscle on diet.

I hope to be able to fill in as much as I can shake wise. Not the best way to do it, but still I am not at a place I'm happy with. Natalie wants me to represent her at the Arnold so I owe her my all this last month in diet and cardio, she gets my all in the gym! She even offered me to move in with her the last month to make my food...lol I love Nat but my kids mean more so that just won't work. However I will do my best!

yeah, maybe. I need to check on what we are doing for family vacation, and how many vacation days i have. With my job I accumulate them monthly so its a pain to track, and I need to use one next week friday for vasectomy, ouch.

I could do that tho I guess, a freakin motel 6 or something would be pretty cheap.

Back day

Started with pulldowns at 6 to the left side of head, 6 to the right and 6 to the top of chest for 4 sets.

Then we did 15 rep dumbell rows to the center of chest for 4 sets.

Then we did 15 pull throughs for 4 sets.

Then we did 10 reverse grip machine rows with 15 traditional deadlifts for 4 sets.

Then we did 6 inner handle pull ups with 6 per side bent over rows with 10 sit ups for 4 sets.

And that was all. I have asked to be put on the most severe diet possible without losing muscle for the last month.

LOL yeah, but not the majority of the Arnold people, well ok, the competitors anyway.
I understand you. I am going to try my best to come in at competition shape - not that I even know what that is for me just yet. A LOT can be done in a month!

I wouldn't know how that would work for me...I compromise re diet and don't diet and add in more exercise...

Yeah but to hit a competition level of bodyfat it requires a diet.

It feels like it sometimes, the combat powder made me throw up yesterday. However I train with people that do the cardio and diets and train even when you are weak and tired and push through it. You figure if you want something bad enough you do what it takes even if you don't like it.

I have been to enough shows to know how I'll feel if I don't do it. You feel inadequate and like you have no discipline. I just need to find the right foods that allow me to lean out as much as possible knowing that I wo't be on stage. And that allows me to not be sick and still take care of my kids.

Yeah I'm leaner than I was after months of bad eating and key lime martinis :) But I want to be as close to slap a tan on me and throw me on stage shape as I can be. I want a competitive body..:)

Knocked out an awesome arm day.

Did overhead tri extensions for 15 reps x 4 sets

Then did tri pushdowns for 10reps with 15 tri dips feet up x 4 sets.

Then did reverse grip curls with pronated curls seated on a bench with feet straight out in a v position held through 15 reps. 4 sets.

Then we did tricep pushups with seated hammer curls legs held in same v position for 15 reps x 4 sets.

Then did 4 sets of standing flat curls together for 4 sets x 10 reps

Finished with 4 sets of reverse grip thumb over curls for 15 reps.

Eric speaks truth. We are leaner than 90% of those girls all the time as it is (even if they ARE in competition shape)...Except, because I am a lot shorter it doesn't show...sigh...

Have you become a fan of Arnold Classic on FB?

They've been posting pictures of the amateur bikini competitors for this year. Wow...extremely soft (and pasty).

Speaking the truth there C!! They don't have to match the dedication and commitment that you bodybuilding ladies do. I appreciate all the hard work, blood, sweat, and tears that go into building a lean, well-muscled physique.

Not sure how normal it is actually. However miserable it may be for me. Could be heart related, possibly. Though at this point in my life theres not much I can do about it. We have no health ins on me.

Started with 6 per side of standing leg curls supersetted with 10 lying curls for 4 sets.

Then we took 2 blue half balls a foot or so apart and did a jump in the air with a foot landing on each ball going into a squat for 15 jumps then did walking lunges x our 4 sets.

Then we did 30 standing skip lunges with 15 squats standing on a single half ball for 4 sets.

Then we did 20 presses with 15 leg extensions.

Then we did 15 per leg of dumbell deads for 4 sets.

Then I did a single set of 30 side to side jump squats off the half ball.

Finished with 4 sets of 15 rep calf raises.

Apparently today was shoulder and resistance band work..

We started with standing on the bands and did 15 side raises with 6 dumbell raises side as well for 4 sets.

Then we did overhead press band work for 15 reps with 6 dumbell presses for 4 sets.

Then we did 15 front raises with the bands with 6 alternating candlestick raises.

Then we did 10 per side of single arm presses for 4 sets.

Then we did a single set of 30 bent over rear delt rows.

Then we did 3 sets of 30 resistance band pulses.

We did 4 sets of front dumbell upright rows with a shrug
at the bottom for 15 reps.

Then we did 35 lb plate pushes running across the floor for 3 sets.

Chest/ abs

Started with 35lb dumbell pullovers for 15 reps and 4 sets.

Then we did 4 sets of15 flyes with 15 crunches.

Then we did 10 lower cable flyes from the bottom with 30lb presses for 4 sets with decline sit ups for 10 reps also.

Then we did incline presses at 30lbs for 10 reps with incline leg lifts for 10 reps and 4 sets.

Then we did decline flyes for 15 reps with 15 decline sit ups holding the dumbells for 4 sets.

Can't remember if I missed anything. I did 30 min of cardio before I trained.

I cannot tolerate cottage cheese no matter what you can add to it. I've been told to add some flavored crystal light to it.......didn't help. I think it's mainly the texture of it. Looks kinda like it's already been eaten.:puke:

LOL!!! I've learned to eat it. However I need to just eat it plain. Yogurt on the other hand makes my stomach hurt and it tastes bad.

I like cottage cheese. Just not the cottage cheese here in the US. Back home it is great - and so is the tofu, which is also unpleasant here :(

The roads are bad and I've already slid into a curb in 4 wheel drive. Getting to the gym will be fun today!
