Workout #4

Last Night:
It was the first night that I had to sleep in the other room, by myself. I mixed the Somnidren in water and drank it that way for the first time. It seemed that it took longer for me to feel it that way. I think I'll stick with the sublingual way for awhile. I still woke up once last night to go to the restroom, but other than that I was out cold. I even over slept by 15 minutes, which never happens to me. When I did wake my legs were still sore from Tuesdays leg workout.

The Workout:

Warm up w/ some light & medium deadlifts
Rack pulls from knee level @ 295 lbs - 2 x 5 (10 second rest) 3 (10 sec rest) 2
Single leg standing calf raises @ 35 lbs - 5 straight sets of 10 just going back and forth between legs

After Thoughts:
It sucked today, I just felt to sore to do any weight on the deadlift, so I just went w/ some rackpulls. I don't really like rackpulls either. I was so excited to pull some weight today too. My post workout stuff was all the same except I added some raw honey to my shake to sweetin it up some. I can't believe I couldn't deadlift today, I think I was even sorer from all of the stuff that I did yesterday during the day. Lots of walking and bending over to pick stuff up and things like that. I just hope tomorrow will be better...

Nothing worse than soreness getting in the way of lifting.

Definitely. The Somnidren and the ZMK will help with a quicker recovery after a short while though so soon you'll be good to go after a tough workout again

Workout #5

Last Night:
I had a great night of sleep. I dosed the Somnidren sublingually again and it knocked me out like 15 minutes after that. So I got and extra 30 min of sleep, but I still woke up in the middle of the night once. When I woke up I felt so good and refreshed, ready to hit the weights. I did have dreams but can't recall what they were about.

The Workout:

DB Clean & Press @ 60 lbs. - 8 x 2*
DB Incline Press @ 75 lbs. - 8 x 4*
*one min rest and alterate lifts

DB side laterals @ 20 lbs - 2 x 8*
Weighted (25 lbs) decline push ups - 2 x 15*
*one min ress and alternate lifts

After Thoughts:
I felt so good today and it showed while lifting, a complete opposite from yesterday. I always have trouble w/ 75 lbs on the intial push off with the incline press, but today it felt so easy. At first I didn't even think I could do it for the whole 8 sets and I had only planned doing 5 sets, but it felt so good I just kept going. The side laterals gave me a nice pump, I squeezed my delts for a good two seconds at the top of every rep. Post workout I added some orange juice that I had juiced yesterday to my shake and it tasted like an orange dreamscicle. Sooo good. Today I get to go hang out w/ my gals sister and her bf down in huntsville. I think we are going to watch a movie, I don't know which one though. I am not lifting this weekend, just going to relax and get ready for next week. The Somnidren will not be taken on Saturday or Sunday night either.

Another Night...

Last night was my first night w/ just ZMK, no Somnidren-GH. I had a great night of sleep too. One thing that was different w/o the somnidren was that it took me a little bit more time to fall alseep. Not too much to long, but w/ the somnidren I kind of just touch my pillow and I'm out. Without it I lied down and had some thoughts then fell alseep. I still have yet to have a night where I did not wake up in the middle of the night though. I also am going down to Houston for a few days to visit some people. I am still going to lift and do almost everything else that I do.

Workout #6

Last Night:
Another night w/ just ZMK. I slept in my bed that I grew up in last night, and guess what. I didn't wake up once in the middle of the night. This is the first time this has happened in like forever. I walked to my Dad's house this morning to lift though, it is like 2 miles away.

The Workout:

DB Press @ 80 lbs. - 6 x 5*
DB Flys @ 35 lbs. - held for 30 sec, 20 sec, & 8 sec- done right after last set of DB presses
DB Row @ 65 lbs. - 6 x 5*
DB Shoulder Press @ 50 lbs. - 6 x 5*
*60 seconds rest between sets

After Thoughts:
I had a good workout this morning, a little heavier than last weeks. I had to change up the post workout nutrition today. No raw eggs in my post workout shake, and I am going to eat some scrambled eggs and oatmeal for my post workout meal in a few minutes. Now I got the rest of the day to kick back and relax. My Mom got me a 3 day gym pass to LA Fitness so I'll lift there tomorrow, and I think she told her pt to work me out. So I'll see how that goes tomorrow. Tonight I get to take the Somnidren-GH again, looking forward to that.

I'm starting to notice some recovery affects. For example: I hooped yesterday for the first time in months yesterday. I played some 4 on 4 w/ some friends for 3 hours yesterday. My feet/knees were killing me after playing, and if you would have asked me if I would feel it the next day I would have said for sure. I woke up this morning and I didn't feel a thing from yesterday. I had even forgot about playing yesterday until I thought about it. So I would day that my recovery is way up.

Workout #7

Last Night:
I took AK's advise and dosed the goods like this:

Try this: take half a scoop of Somnidren sublingually, wait till like 75% of it is dissolved then pop 2, ZMK and chase everything down with water. 30 min later, take the other half scoop of Somnidren and the 2 other ZMK (I just stick the powder and caps all in my mouth at one time for the 2nd dose) chase it with some water and you should be ZzZzZz in no time.
It took a little longer for me to fall asleep w/ this procedure. It could have been that I was watching the Rocket's game on tv and they blew a 17 point lead and almost ended up losing, but that's a whole other story. I woke up ready to get worked out by my Mom's pt at the gym.

The Workout:

The pt was a pretty cool guy. He had two other people and me working out together on a leg day. I thought it was going to be easy and stuff, but I got that wrong. Started off w/ a 8 min warm up on the treadmill. Once I was done he had me lunge the whole distance of the gym w/ two 25 lb plates, down and back. Then 50 toe touches w/ a 10 lbs plate. After that I did leg presses w/ one 45 lb plate per side, then 50 more toe touches. Then 40 lb DB lunges for 1/2 the distance and back, 50 more toe touches, 2 45 lb plate leg presses. Then all of that one more time but w/ 3 45 lb plates on the leg press. All of the sets of leg presses were sets of 20 reps.

After Thoughts:
This was a way different type of workout than I expected. I was drained after this one. It was way harder than I thought it would be. I'm not even gonna lie, but I felt queezy after this one and I even through up a little bit after my last set of leg presses. I have no idea why I felt like this, I guess it was just that hard of a workout. I didn't feel bad before, and I don't feel bad now. I'm going back up to Centerville tomorrow, I don't know what time so I don't know if I'm gonna lift here or there. It doesn't matter anyway. I have know idea on how I'm gonna take the ZMK & Somnidren-GH tonight. I may try something new, but who knows.

This might have effected it :p

Tonight just dose the SGH/ZMK the way you felt it kick in the fastest so far. Once you find the perfect dosing and timing you should stick to it.. it's always fun to mess around with the doses though to find the perfect one !

I hope they won't be bad. I just finished playing ball at my old high school w/ the most of the v-squad. They were just playing some board to board 4 on 4. I played 3 games, lost the last one. The hops were not there at all, but my jumper was almost falling like it used too. Unfortunately my lateral quickness wasn't there either and I was getting blown by easily, I still managed to pick up a few blocks on the youngens. Lets see how my legs feel in the morning though. Tomorrow I'm gonna lift one more time in Houston, then taking the trip back up north after.

Glad to have you in sir. I had been waking up a few times at night pre-supplementation, and during the first week I would wake up only once a night. Now during the second week I have been able to finally keep my head down on the pillow and not get up until I need to. I feel even more refreshed now in the morning and so far this week my muscle soreness is almost non existent. Even after yesterday leg workout and basketball for a few hours.

You know I thought that maybe my preworkout supps where giving me some trouble but I'm in the gym around 4pm. I'm waking at like 2-2:30 and going until 6:30 am when I get off work. I try and go to bed the same time everyday and wake the same time. This sounds like something that I'm needing. I have researching 5-htp but at this point I have not made up my mind.

Keep up the great postings. By the way... my brother in laws son plays for New Mexico State and he's from the Houston area (Cypress) Phillip McDonald is the name.

Workout #8

Yeah I've heard of him, I thought he went to New Mexico U not state. I heard that he was one of the best shooters in Houston like last year or the year before. Cypress Spring always has some pretty good players on the team. My boy Jerome plays on the football team at New Mexico too, in the secondary.

Last Night:
I dosed the ZMK & Somnidren the same way as the previous night, but this night I didn't watch any exciting tv. I was asleep noticeably faster than the previous attempt at this dosing. I had another night of perfect sleep. I had to wake up earlier than I would have so I could lift in Houston, then drive back to my current residence.

The Workout:

I could only get 20 lbs on me for the pull ups/dips combo.
30 reps of pull up & 30 parallel bar dips in 5:45.

Reverse grip curls @ 60 lbs - 2 x 8
DB extensions @ 70 lbs - 2 x 5
60 seconds between sets, alternated sets too

After Thoughts:
The pull ups were noticeably easier this time. I got 10 straight reps on my first attempt. I hadn't done parallel dips in so long and they were harder than I remembered. I used to do sets of 10 or 12 w/ 45 lbs on me. I was struggling to get them today w/ only 20 lbs on me. The workout was really fast today, I got to get my stuff packed up and head out in a few minutes now. I had my usual post workout shake. Then just now I finished another shake w/ 20 grams of protein, 1 cup of oats, 4 Tbsp of flax seeds. I am gonna try to get a burrito at freebirds or some kind of food once I leave my house. Tomorrow I'm going to hit the deads hard, to make up for last weeks failed attempt. My legs are not sore from yesterday at all. I should be able to go at 100% w/ them.

(Chest/Shoulder/Traps)

*5 reps and 5 sets of each with a 45 second rest between sets*

DB Bench Press - 80/90/100/110/120(only got 4 reps :( )
DB Incline Bench Press - 60/65/70/75/80
Flye Machine - 125/155/175/195/215
Reverse Peck-Deck - 125/135/155/165/155
DB Overhead Press - 40/50/60/70/70
Plate Upright Row - 80/100/110/120/130
Cable Lateral Raise - 20/20/30/30/20
DB Shrug - 95/100/110/120/130

Nothing special really, lol. Just a different style of training from the previous month of doing one body part a week with a little more rest in between sets. For a few of the exercises I had to drop the weight so I could continue with proper form to finish.

Yea the 45 sec rest is killing me, lol. The workouts are focused on building strength though. I might have to pick up some more Osteo-Sport for this month :p

It's like the machine this lady is using. Only instead of loading free weights on it, there is a stack of plates.

Workout #9

Last Night:
I dosed it the same way as the previous two nights, but this night was the best I have had in awhile. The only burp came when my gf woke me up in the middle of the night. Other than that I had a great night of the sleep. She even told me that I tried to get some in the middle of the night, if you know what I mean lol. I even had a crazy dream that I remember. I was eating at some place and I got a huge hard boiled egg. It was big, like a dinosaur egg or something. I sat down and began to peel the shell off, then bite into the white. When I got down close to the yolk I saw the he shape of like a human in the yellow yolk. I remember being pissed, like the place served me a human egg. So I got up and went in the back and started to yell at the owner. This guy looked like one of the typical bad guys of the movies. We soon got into a scuffle and I clocked him in the face. Then I left and he was chasing me.This part is pretty funny but it was really in my dream. It seems that I had a pocket full of liver tabs and I was tossing them at the guy in the face as he was chasing me. Then I woke up and felt good, but a little freaked out from that dream. It was so vivid, kind of incredible for me.

The Workout:

Deadlifts @ 165, 185, 205, 225, 245, 265 sets of 5 w/ 60 seconds between sets w/ no straps on
Deadlifts @ 295 for 5 reps w/straps, 315 for 3 reps w/ straps
Single leg DB calf raises 10 sets of 10 w/ no rest between sets
Barbell Hack squats for 1 set of 10 @ 115 - 1st time trying these

After Thoughts:
I felt so good today for this one. The deads were good, even though it was the first time I had done them in awhile. There was a nice pump in my calfs from the raises. The hack squats felt weird too, but I liked them and will do them more often. I had my normal post workout shake, with 3 whole eggs added again. Then I had 7 scrambled eggs and some toast w/ honey for my post workout meal. It is real wet outside so I don't know what I can do the rest of the day outside.

Hack Squats was something I could never get the feel for. No matter how many times I attempted these, I just felt awkward. Felt like I was going to pull all of the hair off the back of my legs when lifting up.

Workout #10

Last Night:
I used the same dosing scheme as I have done for most of the week. It seems to almost get better every night. I was knocked out after 15 minutes of the second dose. It seemed I went right into a deep dream, but I cannot recall what it was about. I'm pretty sure it was serious business though, bc my girl woke me up saying I was talking in my sleep. One thing that is real noticeable now is the lack of soreness I'm feeling. Yesterday I did some heavy deads for me, and I expeced that my entire back would be sore as can be today. Once I woke I did not feel a thing though, I was like "yep feeling good today". I was so ready to hit the weights this morning even though it's cold and rainy outside.

The Workout:

Clean & Press @ 110 w/ 2 10 lb 6.5 ft long chains for 5 x 3*
Single arm incline DB press @ 60 lbs 5 x 6*
*60 seconds between the alternating sets

Front lats/side lats/shoulder pres/arnold press @ 25 lbs for 2 x 5 each w/ 60 sec between sets
Decline push ups w/ 25 lbs on my back 2 x 10 (1/2 diamond hand position 1/2 reg) 60 sec between sets

After Thoughts:
Today was a hard/intense workout. I was going to try to get 80 lbs incline db press, but I failed on my first attempt to get the weight up. I then just decided to get the one arm press at 60 lbs. The shoulder circuit gave me a ridicolous pump all over my upper body. Post workout I had my usual shake w/ some fresh picked carrots from the garden and a banana. The carrots were so good, I just ate another handfull w/ my post workout meal. Along with half a dozen eggs w/ cheese and a biscuit w/ honey. Man there was something else I wanted to say but I can not seem to remember what it is. If I recall I will post it later. All in all a solid workout, and now I got two full days of resting before I hit the weights again.

Oh I just remembered what it was. I checked my weight this morning and I am up 10 lbs in two weeks. All the way up to 198. I could not believe it, I had to do a double take. I guess I am eating enough now, but the thing is I could not tell that I looked 10 lbs heavier in the mirror. I was estatic when I saw the numbers come up though. I hope I can continue to add the weight like this.

Off day!

Last Night:
I got another solid night of sleep last night. Slept for a good 8 hours and woke up feeling real good. There was some good dreaming going on, but the only thing I could remember is one I was listening to a radio show that I always listen to called "Super Human Radio". It wasn't really interesting I just remember sitting down somewhere listening to the show for awhile and thats all I can recall. I got a lot of work to do outside today and hopefully it is done raining down here. Tonight is just ZMK, no Somnidren-GH. The only thing that I noticed the last time I only took the ZMK was that I didn't istantly fall asleep when I hit my pillow. I still had a good nights rest.

Last Night

Last Night:
Another perfect night of sleeping w/ only 4 ZMK. Real deep sleep, didn't wake up in the middle of the night. I had a lot of work outside today, but I got them done early. Tomorrow is another upper body day, I can't wait for it.

I'm glad the stack is working so well for you :)

It hasn't disappointed me once so far ! Every night I've taken it I get perfect sleep on it.

I'm thinking of using it more frequently like MST has you doing but every other night and on off night's using something like X-DREAM from IBE to keep me from building a tolerance to the SGH and ZMK. Because of phase 2 of my new 3 month routine. I will be experiencing more DOMS because of the way the routine is set up which will mean recovery will have to be on point !

I bet you can't wait to throw the SGH back into the stack :D

Yep I miss the Somnidren for sure, really miss the sweet taste. The recovery has been good, but I think it is getting even better. Like yesterday I was doing pretty hard/intense work outside which involved lots of pushing a heavy wheel barrow around, bending over to pick a bunch of stuff up, and moving other things around. Any other time my lower back would be stiff as can be, but I have no pain/soreness what so ever. I even had to do some of the same stuff today, and it still didn't hurt one bit.

That's definitely awesome buddy !

It's amazing what a good night's sleep is capable of doing for us :)

I see we're both heavily grooving on our stack. I HATE when I don't get to take my Somnidren. - 5 on, 2 off...I get bummed on those 2 days off. Haha...Not that my sleep isn't great on ZMK alone, but something about Somnidren is amazing. I agree with the "good sleep, but not out as soon as you hit the pillow" thing. On Somnidren, it takes me about 2 mins max to fall asleep.

Good to here that your having a good time on the stack, and congrats on becoming a lg rep. This Somnidren is not joke though, I'm just happy to be back on it tonight!

Workout #11

last Night:
Another solo ZMK night, but I still got a solid night sleep. I didn't wake up at all, I didn't wake my girl up either. I had a good dream about going to a theme park like Disney Land, it was really weird. Woke feeling good...

The Workout:

DB Presses @ 85 lbs - 6 x 5*
DB Row @ 70 lbs - 6 x 5*
DB Shoulder Press @ 55 lbs - 5 x 5, 1 x 3 (failed to get 5)*
Barbell pull overs @ 50 lbs - 2 x 10*
*60 sec between sets

After Thoughts:
I think this mornings workout went well. The 85 lb db press was always a sticking point for me, and today I felt good getting all of my reps in on it. The shoulder press at 55 lbs was also a sticking point, but I failed to get all of my reps on it. So next week I will give it another go. I had my usual post workout shake, and I'm about to have my usual post workout meal. I hope that it is done raining down here bc I got some yard/garden work to do today. Tomorrow I got legs, I'm going to have some fun doing some squats. I haven't got to do them in two weeks and I miss them. Alright I'm off to get me some food now...
