Welcome, bro! Happy to have an experienced SNS user on here. Haha no lie it’s not that great but it’s not that bad either. I’ve been progressively lowering my calories since August or so. It was something around 3300-3500 calories of red meat and eggs. Hence my horrendous cholesterol XD
I can imagine! You have around 10 pounds on me and im eating 1000 kcal more and im a natty on top of that. I commend your willpower!

On the topic of your cholesterol, i saw you limit eggs etc. I thought cholesterol from your diet didnt affect your cholesterol levels. Are you just wanting to be extra careful or?

Don’t forget to try out the SNS Gaba mixed with some of the SNS Citrulline
Thank you for suggesting the Citrulline Malate. I was just talking with someone on here last night about how we make so many products that sometimes things get overlooked and people don't really realize how many different things we offer :)

Haha clean eating and good meal prep allows me to maximize the amount of food I can get for my calories. I’ve been developing programs for myself that I can then apply to clients who need help with structuring and balancing a nutrition plan.

I think there may be truth to both. To an extent it should have an adverse effect on most people in reasonable amounts. In my case I was eating exorbitant amounts of saturated fats and cholesterol from the red meat and eggs.

The problem is that I have a hereditary genetic predisposition from my moms side who has a lineage of poor cholesterol. She eats very little saturated fats and cholesterol but requires a statin to keep her lipids in a safe range.

It’s all case by case but still I feel moderation and balance is essential regardless as you’ll likely find high amounts to still skew numbers at some point. Especially when running anabolics.

I only started this week having switched from Species Arthrolyze. Nonetheless I have no doubt it will meet, or likely exceed, what is expected of a quality joint support. Knees are doing well today after hitting legs 💪🏻😎

Oh absolutely! Love the stuff, goes great preworkout(even post for me with the carbs) Plus the Nitric Oxide boost increases gaba concentrations by a ton when taken together. Legit study showed gaba concentrations increasing from 33% to 383% with the method they used between gaba alone and taken with NO increase. You guys have great price and quality for both products to last anybody a good while!

Fasted weight: 194.6

Today’s log update will be a weekend recap instead. I increased calories a bit and lowered output. Having woken up today feeling a bit bloated in the belly I was surprised to find myself right within range of my normal weekday weight. Considering my body looks more full and rested this quite the pleasant surprise. :) Absolutely drank too much diet soda and energy drinks though lol

I kept my steps to a conservative 6000 and did some air squats here and there.

Weekend Macros
Calories: 2300
Protein: 249g
Carbs: 142g
Fat: 73g

I spent the better part of my two days off working on the revamped VLNS website. It’s coming along nicely but will be really spiffy once I get the graphic banners made for the homepage slide show (donut shopping pic is the place hold hahaha). Took me a lot of time because I’m not savvy with coding at all and the Shopify has some serious limitations trying to get everything to pay cleanly across both mobile and desktop platforms. I tend to lean towards making the mobile the focus but still want the desktop display to look very professional by the end of it.

So what do find to be “too much” with regards to oz of diet soda/energy drinks and gut tolerance?

Just wondering because I enjoy some routinely but have found there are definite limits as to what starts to become a digestive burden or even promote acid reflux potentially.

I wanted to add on to what you're saying with something I've noticed myself. Generic diet sodas tend to wreck my acid reflux more than name brands; likely due to more carbonation.

Yeah it’s a bit of that and also a bit of “I shouldn’t be drinking so much artificial ****” haha. Also, while they list zero calories that’s not entirely true but more so that it can effect insulin response and possibly counter fat loss goals.

Still, I try not to dwell on it too much. After all I don’t have a show coming up and I’m already devoid of most junk food. Admittedly I spoiled myself with some sugar free lime jello cups topped with some reddi whip hahaha

I encourage you to do so! Thanks, Steve :)

I'm going to give this a re-read tomorrow morning over my cup of preworkout. My brain is fried right now but my initial impression is very positive of the ingredient. I used to follow USP Labs back in the day as I was quite interested in some of the products they released. Pink Magic anyone? Soooooo chingoooon lmao XD

I think USP Labs had a lot of good ideas. Some of their things got backlash because they just hyped them up so much that nothing could ever live up to it; but the premise behind a lot of it was good.

Precisely. Sometimes the bold claims lend themselves to disappointment. Especially some of the comparisons seen nowadays smh. Often it is better to be more modest and over deliver in the result! But alas marketing haha

Woah, I have heard about it from around the block with anti-inflammatory properties.. But Man looking at the research, I had no idea it had such strong hormone balancing properties.. And that it can be comparable to clomid in its possible uses… Which could be an example for anybody questioning how it functions the way it does for the different genders. At increasing testosterone for men while helping women with pcos or perhaps fertility balancing of their own. Damn lol… Not bad. Not bad at all

That was one of my worries on offering one - is that we tend to get nit picked by certain competing companies so badly that I could easily see them trying to use the studies in women for hormone balancing as kind of an angled slant at attacking the product. Whereas like you said, Clomid is the same way.

Thank you. I really appreciate that. But unfortunately, as you know and see yourself, they can overhype the something to no end and sell a lot of it (or at least give the appearance that they are selling a lot of it).

Hell, I couldn't sleep at night for worrying if I was sending out products with no lot numbers and expiration dates. Unless a company is intentionally trying to hide something from the FDA, there is absolutely no reason that they wouldn't include them. And definitely no GMP compliant manufacturer is providing them for any company without lot/batch numbers or they're risking the wrath of the FDA themselves. (Note: I'm not talking about any specific company here; just speaking in general about the state of the industry).

I used to not speak so openly about stuff like that but I started to open up a little bit after the last go round of a couple companies trying to take shots at me and the companies. Plus, we're getting to a point in this industry where if people don't step up and stop supporting companies doing things like that, we're not going to have much of an industry left. I already see the idea being floated around that instead of a list of products we can't sell, the government possibly doing a list that we can sell. And if companies would just start trying to do it the right way, the FDA would leave the industry alone for the most part.

Do companies really attack like that? On misconceptions? I mean for something that is not some mainstream known thing? I know they and those with more money in other industries do for things that actually work. That work too well for their liking… And perhaps something they can’t make the type of profit they want from it.. Is it more forum culture and things like that you believe will give some sort or negative image to the product? Because if I’m somebody into this lifestyle like we are, if I hear something works like clomid, and I sure hope most know what it is used for, I’m actually excited to hear it. If I was a natty, that is one of the first things I would want to try. If any company tries to slant your product for the women studies, they open themselves up to not only showing they have no idea what the studies are saying and how it translates to men. They show they have no idea how the products in their own industry work. I say do it and let them come at you and show the world how wrong they are. Lol if I’m a head boss, I do it just to watch the shady people destroy themselves, muahhahahah!!! I uhh, mean, good luck to everyone! Lol

Unfortunately, yes. Not only attack based on them but further the misconceptions to promote sales of their own products.

There is one company that I can just about guarantee that their sales pitch against the product is going to be - google it, you'll see that it decreases testosterone - and they'll leave out the point that that was in women; and as you correctly and brilliantly said, Clomid does the same.

But that's the thing (and was my worry), they won't say it works like Clomid. They'll just say it decreases testosterone and then conveniently leave out the part that that's in women, not men. And then many customers that believe them or read it at a glance will believe it without doing their own research. I do agree that in theory, if the person reads through and researches it on their own, it does show negatively on a company that would use that as an attack point - but so many people just read something and believe it without doing their own research. It's unfortunate that its like that and its unfortunate that companies are like that.

I do agree that the knowledgeable people and the people more into this lifestyle should be very excited that it has the potential to work like Clomid. I'm super excited about that aspect myself.

In the past, this is an area where I've really let get to me because I am such a nice person. I don't like to argue and I hate drama. And some companies in particular have used that against me to attack products. Hell, I'll admit there have been ideas I wanted to do that I didn't even do because I didn't want to spend the time getting nit picked and arguing over it. I was just talking to someone about this a few moments ago - I'm working on finding that line where I continue to be myself in the sense of being nice but start standing up for myself more. In the past, I've hesitated to ever say anything negative about other companies because I didn't want to be that person; even when they were attacking me. I'm at the point now where as long as companies leave me alone, I'll never say a bad word about them. But if companies with basically zero quality controls that don't follow any GMP guidelines and processes wants to nit pick or attack me or our products, I'd encourage them to really reconsider and think it through bc I'm just going to say screw it and write a detailed PBP explaining just how full of it they are on a lot of different levels. (Here's the mandatory - this post isn't related to any specific company, but if the shoe fits...... )

I'm considering writing an article about this ingredient as it has me intrigued now. Might also tie in some thoughts on how companies tend to inappropriately manipulate or fail to correctly review studies in their entirety. Using a simple statement like "lower testosterone" as an attack vector while omitting the true context. But that could easily be an entirely different piece on its own. It's often the bubble cutters who will try to make one off comments to dismiss a competitor rather than applying any factual evidence or scientific backing to support their case. Rather, they rely on the consumer to to research it for themselves... which is worth as much as a gum wrapper.

(Here's the mandatory - this post isn't related to any specific company, but if the shoe fits...... )
Dang…. you just won me over, I tell ya… You and Zoo are one in the same on the overall quality of character.. I’m impressed. Takes a lot to impress me these days as well… You see what we have to work with, society at large and all lol.

Seems your presence is ever growing and thusly those of us that support you. You hold yourself and company to the highest standard and those around you hold you in high regard because of it. We can intelligently and calmly dissect any argument a company may have and if they wish it, sufficiently embarrass them all the while creating free advertisement for you. They can say all the wrong things they want and it will remain just that. I do fully understand what you are saying, their is still an all too high percentage of people that just hear some quick propaganda and decide. Although I’m not sure those are the type of people you would want purchasing your more exoric type of products and will probably use them incorrectly.

tl;dr: We support you and we have your back. Just let us know if you need truths spread and lies dispelled.

Also Zoo does nude product photoshoots. We have a “Got Citrulline Malate” promo idea where instead of a milk mustache he will have a “Citrulline goatee” from shotgunning the powder preworkout…. He said don’t even ask him, he is fully on board even if he acts like he isn’t, lol

Ohhh please do this… Do the compound first, then have the other one ready in the chamber lol. Then do a ton more since your writing is the hero we all need! Not enough of it exists

Thanks, bro! I really appreciate seeing this first thing in the morning and know SNS will as well. The guy really doesn't get enough credit where credit is due. We are both appreciative to have the support of a solid guy (and a knowledgable one at that) up in the forums. When I get a real rep team up and running I need to get you on it :D

And you know me, man. I don't need much convincing to strip down and get sexy ;)

Thank you. I really appreciate that and it means a lot.

And I appreciate that second part as well. Having knowledgeable, science minded people that can back me up on the ingredients is always appreciated. Because when its just me doing it, it can too easily come off like I'm just trying to sell something. When the reality is, I'm never going to make, feature, or promote and ingredient/product unless I truly feel like its going to work.

I never wish harm on any other company. I've always been a fan of tell the truth and let your products speak for themselves; it's unfortunate that some companies feel like the way to push their products is by putting down other peoples and also sad that many of the same tend to take serious liberties with the way they present studies and also present formulas in such ways on a label that for those of us that have access to the real raw material pricing know it's literally impossible for them to have on the label what they say bc it would cost more to make it than they sell it for.

I really do appreciate your kind words and support.

I agree with doing the ingredient article separate from the industry type article. I think they would both be excellent articles and you could link to the industry one at the bottom of the ingredient one; but I think they'd be best separately because there may be a lot of people that would like to read the industry one but not the ingredient one or vice versa.

Yeah, I agree. Plus I don't want to overwhelm the reader with a mass volume of text in a single sitting haha

Quick log update.

Fasted weight: 197 lbs (followed by a dubious dump haha)

My appetite has been much higher lately. It's tolerable though and not uncomfortable to the point of being irritable or feeling like I'm in prep. It's like I'm burning through fuel much quicker, which is a good sign overall of my metabolism. To curtail this without packing in calories I have increased the amount of veggies in my last meal. I try not to eat (or recommend) too many veggies but my stomach is tolerating them well. I'll post my full meal routine later but the change I made was increasing green beans from 100g to 200g and riced cauliflower from 100g to 200g. The exact grams vary depending on what the individual bag yields when cooked and how much water is strained following that. They're the microwavable kind.

Right knee is a little funny but not really painful or inhibiting in anyway. Just noticeable enough for me to be aware and keep an eye on it. I will back off the higher weight sets for SSB and/or Deads if needed. Gotta preserve these knees, baby, please. Overall things are moving along well still. Back strain is manageable atm. I'm looking into getting ART and/or deep tissue massage for that and my left shoulder which is probably my most annoying issue aside from the obvious arm problem.

I will make more direct comment regarding the supplements I'm using at the end of the week. I like to have some time with them under my belt before giving any assessment. My DPS order should be dropping in tomorrow or Friday at which point I will start SNS PeakO2. Stoked for this!

Always ready to rep for you my Man  I gotta get the General Majora wings back lol. Red shirt club! *Tear*

I’m sure it’s a combination of things, but would you say your appetite increasing could at all be ascertained to getting healthier? Whenever I get on a health kick where I do and take all the right things I feel like eating every two hours, I swear.

You're making a really good point that I hand't considered. Good call! At the very least I like to believe that to be the case haha
