So everyone on here lifts/trains for all slightly different reasons. Aside from looking/feeling good(or enjoying the soreness of the pump) why do you do what you do?
I caught the bug about 6 years ago when I got tired of being a 200+ pound fat ass.
Fast forward 4 years later after tons of training and nutritional trial and error I learned that to have abs I needed to get to 150 and after I got a great six pack a female physique competitor encouraged me to do a Mens Physique competition. I went on stage and came in 1st True Novice and 2nd overall. I fell in love with the idea of pushing yourself to be the pinnacle of what your body can attain in terms of muscularity and leanness.
Finally, I've decided to try to use PHs to push my body over that genetic potential cause I really want to do a big show and at least place. Although I will be hugely disappointed with any but 1st. It's just the kind of guy I am. End goal is to get on stage in Columbus and do the amateur Mens Physique at the Arnold Classic. To even have the man (Arnold) on the stage at the time would be an amazing moment to have.
PS if you stuck all that out and read to here, thanks!
Anyways, that's my story, what's yours?
