Both are great, but I gotta go with the Van Halen version.

I was a huge Kinks fan yet the VH version does do it up in very well Diamond Dave/EVH style. I get torn between the sentiment of both.

I agree, these are both reallly good versions of the song.

But you gotta give credit to a band that wrote a hit song about getting lucky with a transvesdite (and isn't comical about it).
