the rockies are a good club, so I wont look past them, but if the yankees play well playing in Coors field could be explosive

My god schilling looked bad yesterday....but i have to say there were as many sox fans as braves fans at turner field yesterday which is pathetic if you're the atlanta braves. Well beckett has the ball tonight so.... LETS GO SOX!!!

Over a 2 week span the sox had also gained 7 games on the yankees putting them 14.5 games back.....things can go rapidly in either direction and nothing is certain.... that's why they play the games:duel: .

Back to 10.5..Yankees fans do not realize that the Yanks are an old team..The Redsox were so smart not to sign Damon for 4 years he is done stick a fork in him.The Yankees have to pay his contract for 2 more years at 14 milllion..Clemens is a bust no one can tell me he is worth 1 million a start when he couldnt take the heat and was handed a 2 run lead and blew it..Schilling is on the DL at least that explains his inconsistency..Julian Tavarez a # 5 starter 3 hits the Braves and Cy Beckett at 10-1...Redsox will be fine the lead will go back and forth, but this Yankee team is just not good enough and even a true Yankee fan would admit that..The Yankees will have more runs but not against good teams...They should sweep the Giants but ya never know..

PS: I was not avoiding posting during he Yankee 9 game win streak I was in New Jersey on vacation and every yankee fan i ran into in pubs down their said the 9 game win streak over teams like the Pirates is a skewed perception on how good this team is. aAter seeing them against the Rockies with their best pitchers,i think they are right..

The thing about being a Yankee fan for me is that I have been alive to see more Yankee WSC than you guys may ever live to see from Sox for the rest of your days. That is of course unless you are like 9 than you might have a chance. Love them or hate them, with 26 World Series championships and 39 American League Pennants.

It's called a "Dynasty" for a reason.

I am so OK with them loosing a division or two or more because I have seen enough in my lifetime to last me the rest of my life time.

I wonder what it must feel like to want ;)

Well being from Boston we have had the pleasure of celebrating 4 world championships in the past 6 years granted 3 of them from the Patriots but 2004 World series will forever live in history due to what happened in the ALCS...

the 26 world championships will likely never be topped and is quite an accomplishment unfortunately it's all about what have you done for me lately...Too bad baseball does not have a salary cap that would put all teams on the same playing field as far as winning championships it there was a cap no way would the yankees have 26 WC victories and the same goes for Boston who spends almost as much as NY and that is why those 2 teams continue to win..

Football has it right and that is why the NFL is the number 1 spectator sport in America. When a team like New England can win 3 championships in 4 years and spend less money than other teams, now that is an accomplishment..JMO

PS: good to see ya chiming in B5150...Even though we are fans of different teams it's always good to engage you in a friendly discussion..

to be honest i really didnt think the Yanks would get their asses handed to them like that but they have a very easy next 6 games. i can see them making those losses up real fast.

:goodpost:

Couldn't have said it better myself

Red sox winners of 7 of the last 9 games.......yanks losers of 5of the last 6 games..... oh and the lead is back up to 11.5 gms ;)

Really.......:fool2:

I was at the game last night. Yankees win 2-1 :).

It is always something special when you go to a game,my daughter took me to Fenway on fathers day and we had a ball..I remember just walking in and seeing the green monster and the little hairs on my neck were standing..It was awsome

I would love to visit Yankee stadium someday..

We were back in Brooklyn for my Grandma's funeral (whole other story) and had our return flight canceled. Trying to find a bright side to this long and painful visit I decided that a trip the the Bronx would be in order.

My youngest (5yo) daughter's first visit to the stadium and potentially my last for quite a while. Great seats, great memories. :)

There is something special when you share that experience with your child..It cost alot of money but the memories are priceless..That was the 1st time to Fenway for me in 10 years and the last time I took my daughter she was 12 now she is 22 and she is taking me..My son is 2 he is next to go to a game luckily for me they have wheel chair ramps by time he is ready I will need em..Peace :)

This could get interesting. It also seems as if most division leaders in MLB are in a slump right now. If the Yanks can pull within 3-5 games in 1 more month then watch out !

Right now the Sox are bleeding worse then Schilling's ankle from a few years ago LOL.

Is Giambi coming back this year for the Yanks ?

Well they closed in 5 games in two weeks from 12 out to 7 out. It can happen. It has happened and if any team can do it the Yankees can. :)

Back to 8 games and lost the last 2.Yanks get pounded by a team 14-4 that has a total payroll less that A-Rod salary..

i'd rather lose 2 close games to kc than get blown out 14-4 by the freakin devil rays....back to 8 games now. :D

I think Giambi is a good player. He showed a lot of heart when he played with the Oakland A's and he's a great person. I hope he turns his career around and isn't viewed as a cheater or a junkie.

Yanks put up 21 runs in one game!!!!!

New York had 25 hits, reaching 20 for the second straight game. Matsui tied his regular-season high with five hits, and every Yankees starter had a hit, a run and an RBI. Rodriguez pushed his big league-leading RBIs total to 99 in 97 games.

The Yankees, who won the second game of Saturday's day-night doubleheader 17-5, took three of four from the Devil Rays, hitting .404 in the series with 49 runs, 63 hits and 11 homers.

that was fukcin crazy.......they fukcin served those hoe's..............buuuuuuuuuuuuuut boston is 7 1/2 up!!!!!

this sucks! the freaking sox have to go on a winning streak the same time NY does?! the one thing we are gaining on is the wild card.

i think Boston has something to worry about now.
its all fun and games when you`re up 11 games! but when the Yanks start playing like the Yankees then its on.
