Wrasslin's 'Go Harder Than Kimbo Slice' Pre-Season Log

I got the baton at about 10m ahead of the guy and by the time I passed it to our anchor guy I was about 20m ahead.

And BOOM goes the dynamite. Way to blow it up at the end man. Your anchor could have coasted across the finish line because of you and your team, nice work.

What was it like sprinting off blocks? I've never done that.

Ugh, not sure how to answer as I havn't gotten the full benefit of them yet but it took a whole practice the day before to even get some-what used to them. But they GREATLY help propel you at the beginning if used right. My time was 13 sec.....Horrible.

I'm going to bust my ass even harder now.....I want that 11 flat back!

Very true bro....I'm giving track everything I have, it's always been my faverite sport and I'm deeply regretting not doing it the past two years.


Practices yesterday was NUTS though!
It was my 2nd actual hard sprint practice and it was the closest I ever came to throwing up from a workout besides a wrestling practice or two. Endurance wasn't horrible it was just my damn groin pain that killed me!

What we did was half mile jog, warm ups, then sprints going in order (with little rest) of 100/200/400/200/100 then we did a 3/4th mile cool down (extra lap because some guys were walking lol).

I got home and just collapsed on my couch haha!

Vitamin C and Magnesium are my lifesavers. Did you ever pick any up?
 
I havn't tried any of those....Meant to try Drive a while back but couldn't afford it.

Could you explain why you like them?

body octane is probably the best thing i have used for endurance athletics, before knee replacement i played tennis regularly, now i am down to around 3 hours on sundays. drive is 2nd best-stacked they are great. poseidon is great for when you are doing activities where you are sweating a lot-i use it in the summer every year at my job.

that stack isn't cheap-i would save it for when it really counts.

Haha, my brothers girlfriend is Puerto Rican and she made the BEST Puerto Rican dinner ever, it was great lol.


But stay tuned for tomorrow.....We have a Tri-Meet and so far I'm only doing 100m and polevault (their still letting the crappy shot putters fight it out for #3 spot.....). BUT, one of my coaches said I'll more than likely sub for an event or two as usual so that's good.

Ok UPDATE

That Tuesday meet didn't go too well, they threw me into shot-put out of no where and since I spent all the previous day throwing (6 hours total) I threw 33ft area where the day before I was getting 40ft area. Also since I got rushed for that I didn't have time to get my steps for polevault which made me fail at that. Then for the 100 I was warming up, and half way through they announced FINAL call for it so I had to sprint over there, and when I did it for the first 30-40m I was around 3rd place then stomach cramped and I got last. EPIC fail on my part...

Tomorrow should be better though, I know all my events ahead of time and will be taking in more water!

Also, I hit the PR of my life yesterday!!!
I was doing a leg workout with my girlfriends uncle, and before this I've never squatted over 315 let alone do 315 for a long time.....Well yesterday I ended up getting 370!!! And I am still in shock about that....I guess thats what happens when I have someone who can keep up with me AND push me!

Well I kind of didn't know I had a meet tomorrow.....But there's a days rest inbetween (today) so I just took it easy at practice today.

i misunderstood. i thought you were doing legs the day before your meet, sorry.

I couldn't believe I got it....I've never gotten over 315, or even 315 since 7th grade lol. I guess that's what happens when I workout with someone that can keep up with me and actually PUSH me :smite:

7th grade, damn that seems like a long time ago....wait a minute, that was a long time ago. 315 is damn good for 7th grade...damned good. to me that is more impressive than 370 at age 18.

Haha yes it is more impressive....By far.
It's just 7th grade all I cared about was strength until 8th grade hit and I just did bodybuilder stuff which got me NO WHERE as far as strength goes.

I finally grew some balls a month or two ago and started lifting heavy again....285lbs to 370lbs in a month isn't too bad for squats....
And 185lb bench to 250lbs in a month isn't too bad either haha.

hahaha, not bad at all. i am pulling for you, would really like to see you do big things. i grew up poor in a rough neighborhood, and most of the guys i grew up with are either in jail or dead. the military was my way out-probably saved my life. hang tough, my friend-i know the temptations are many.

Ever since I straitened myself back out it seems that everything is gunning for me I swear lol, like everytime I accomplish something great something else pushes me back and I don't even get to enjoy it.
