Woody Trests the Dark Side

The heat is likely to be the trest for sure. Along with the irritability haha... Stuff can be harsh, but worth the risk

Absolutely! I honestly think it has some to do with aromatization. Kinda like hot flashes.

I chalked it up to being tired because it was 100x worse yesterday than usual. May have been a combination of being drained and Trest. My Trest irritability generally doesn't make my skin crawl and I couldn't get cool to save my life. Slept for about 12 hours last night though and I'm feeling pretty solid. Still a little drained, but feel way better than what I was.

Chest on tap tonight.
 
Woke up pretty late. Took my dog outside for a nice little walk. Made breakfast. 5 eggs, avocado, turkey bacon, on a tortilla with cheese and homemade hot sauce. Beautiful day. 90 and sunny. Went to lay by the pool for a couple hours.

Had lunch - 10 oz chicken, 1 large sweet potato, spinach salad.

Got ready for the gym. Aaaaand this happened...

A little behind. I did manage legs and back/bis. Woke up super late yesterday afternoon and left meh all day. Couldn't really put my finger on it. Was hot and cold and had a major headache. Thought I was dehydrated so I drank 60 oz and took a nap. Woke up sweating.

Anyway, this morning I woke up with the mother ****ing plague. 102 fever, coughing stuff up, and no voice. I'm at work now, but will probably leave after I finish a motion and file it. Gonna try to do upper body power today... Depending on strength in gym. Good news is I'm 182 so that's +12 in about four weeks. Bad news is I have the immune system of a dead person

Dude, you may not want to push it and go to the gym. I did that when I started to feel sick, and then it hit me hard as hell and I ended up losing 16-18lbs in two weeks. I regret going to the gym when I felt ill, I do think it made the onset worse.

I'm hoping it's just stress from finals. I rarely sleep in, but this weekend I slept until 11 or later both days and could have slept longer if my pups bladder wasn't about to explode lol. I have slept a lot and have steadily started to feel better mentally, more motivation, getting stuff done/less procrastination, more clearheaded, etc. but now I'm just icky feeling. I think it'll pass in a few days or I'll end up on my death bed eating soup having my girlfriend sing Soft Kitty Warm Kitty to me.

Fever is gone though. Throat is still sore but not coughing anymore. No appetite loss either.
 
Yeah it's always the lack of appetite when i get a cold that makes me feel weak AF in the gym.

I was doing chin ups and felt it cramp up, came down and it was almost like a Charlie horse meets exorcism of Emily rose kinda thing. My ankle hurt and felt like it was in a knot and my foot twisted to the right. Probably not a good description but it was hella weird.

Explain this madness lol.

When I put pressure on it it felt like it wasn't there. Idk how to explain it but I could feel the muscle spasm but I couldn't feel my foot.

So not normal?

Like I said, the foot bone is connected to the vagina bone. Lol. Seriously though, probably dehydration. Eat some bananas or take extra potassium, more water, less sodium, etc. probably just a fluke.

Woke up pouring in sweat. High fever. Broke later in the day but I called into work and took the day off from life. Appetite was down a little bit, too but I woke up around 6 am and fell back asleep until 12 or 1 so my day was kinda off.

On a side note - muscle fullness and vascularity has improved since I started over a month ago

So far, the fever breaks after a shower and I haven't given it a chance to come back. I've taken Motrin, because I'm a child and love the way it tastes, every 6 hours to keep it at bay.

May try in the morning after a long hot steam shower. Doctor didn't say no physical activity (but I didn't ask). Will play it by ear. Have about a week left and I wanted to close out strong, not on my deathbed
 
Nice log bro..I'm going to be running Dermatrest soon and really looking forward to it.

Just wanted to chime in and say it may be better to take a couple days off because every time I've pushed it I got way more sick and I've had to take even more time off because of it.

Watching the log from the beginning but didnt have something worth saying. If you have a week left and heading to PCT you should prioritize getting better, you dont want to find yourself at bed during PCT. just my opinion

Thanks man. Have had pretty solid results. Very satisfied with Trest. I think I will focus on getting better. Not being able to breath is a bitch. Woke up last night drenched in sweat and it definitely wasn't the Trest. I had chills and a fever. Fun times.

I forgot to update - yesterday at Dr my BP was slightly elevated - 139/83. Nothing crazy, but worth noting.
 
I remember around November last year I contracted bird flu... No idea how but it put me out for over a month, it was horrific, to make it worse as I had the flue I also got a bacterial lung infection so I was out for the count!
 
I'm still alive. Getting worse, but alive none the less. Fever, night sweats/chills, coughing crap up, shortness of breathe... I went to a new doctor because I moved and kinda regret it. It's only been a few days but I'm getting worse not better. Might go back home to see my OG Doctor if I'm not improving by next week.

Weight peaked at 184 so that's impressive. Chest looks way fuller and I definitely gained some size on my arms. Wondering how much I keep. Calories are gonna stay up as I ride into PCT

I'm feeling a lot better except at morning and night. During the day I'm good. In the morning, I have a lot of drainage and same at night I suppose. But I'm 8/10 during the day.

I started PCT and worked out last night, briefly, for the first time since getting sick.

Final Thoughts: I gained 13 lbs in a surplus which probably could have been more if i didn't get sick and stop eating/working out. Fat gain was minimal. I didn't notice a huge libido or energy boost. In fact, this isn't something that made me feel 'on' at all. I liked dosing 2x a day - 2 caps AM and 2 caps PWO. It didn't keep me up at night if I took before bed, either. Strength was up significantly. I ditched the incline bench press but noticed more control and strength on incline DB. My nips did burn, a lot, and I thought I was going to develop gyno but it went away shortly after the cycle ended. No sensitivity or anything. I had to up my Exemestane dosage to 25 mg EOD and I might have preferred Letro or Adex. My chest is larger and fuller and my biceps are more defined. I've gotten several compliments on my traps, too - which is odd because I don't work traps that much. I am definitely shut down more than any other oral cycle I've taken (never pinned, FWIW). I'll keep this updated as I venture through PCT, but I'm pretty happy with my results.

Thanks! I agree especially since i've a hard time growing my chest, too and it's grown a little. I now have the chest of a new teenager versus and underdeveloped twelve year old
 
Nice summary bro. I struggle with chest growth too but I've found that doing crazy amounts of volume - 25 to 30 sets - has been the answer for me.

I'm still figuring out what works best, TBH.

I used to do high volume and I got a lot stronger but not a lot of mass. I tried to simplify things (10-15 sets) and got stronger but not a lot of mass. I ate a unicorn heart and got stronger but not a lot of mass.

Also - thanks for giving me of the idea of shoulders on chest day. Loved the combo. Light weight but the burn and pump was gnarly.

I do em on incline bench, need the wife to help me unrack from from that angle but I think that and the incline hex presses have really helped with my chest size

That's what I do them on. It hits my chest harder than regular incline bench or incline DB, but it's super hawkward and I have to go lighter. I do flat benches hex presses - night try them on incline. I've started hitting dips again and it's adding more pop to my lower chest.

The best thing I've ever found for chest size and development was switching to heavy high volume Dumbbells presses for several months. I didn't even touch a barbell on chest day for a long time. When I finally incorporated them again I was much bigger and stronger. I also used several intensity techniques for volume. Example:

Flat Dumbell Press-4 working sets of 12
1st set after warming up is a giant set(4 sets consecutively dropping weight and hitting the rep range with no more than 10-15 second rests between switching dbells followed by a solid 5 minute rest period then followed by 3 working sets with 3 minute rests:
Set 1 example:
100 lb dbells till failure(15-20 rep range)>85lbx8-12>75x8-12>55lbx8-12-A spotter is highly recommended for safety and to ensure you hit the rep ranges. This one set will fatigue and burn like crazy.

3 sets of 100 lb in 8-12 range-slow eccentric, explosive concentric, 3 minute rest periods

Incline dbells-4x85x8-12-Same rep tempo and rest periods as above

Decline Dbells press superset with a dbell or cable flye variation or chest focused weighted dips.

3x75x8-12 SS w flye for 15-20

Rest

Finish off with 50 flat push-ups

This sample routine completely fatigues all angles of the chest region. I would only do this once per week and at least 2 days prior to direct shoulder work. Tricep work can be added to the end if desired but usually there is little left in the tank. Definitely need a cool down period and static stretching afterwards. I credit this routine with the majority of my chest gains.
 
Yeah I always end up getting the delts involved with a bar.
