I don't know any other group of people I associate with who'd appreciate this except for you all, so I'm just sharing my joy with you all...my girlfriend got me a copy of the 2006 PDR!!! She's a pharmacist and they got some free copies from a drug rep...

I hate to sound like such a nerd, but I just spend the last hour "reading" it and it's a great reference to have around!
 
Oh I'm totally in nerd mode, yeah this book is beyond interesting for someone like me who doesn't work with medications every day.

Can this be bought through normal bookstores, or campus bookstores or something? I'd like to keep getting updates every year. This is the first chance she's ever had to snag them for free...

Do you think I can get it cheaper through my GF's pharmacy, or through my brother, who's a doctor?

And then there's the herbal edition! Man oh man! If I leave these lying around my house for pleasure reading, people are going to really think I've gone off the deep end!

Nothing wrong with that! In college I would go to the library and read the PDR for fun. This is while I had friends reading the Sports Illustrated Bikini Edition :) Wasn’t so weird anymore when I beat my entire class and then some in my med class on the final Exam. If its just for fun you could just get the Nurse's PDR I know in Canada they sell the 2007 soft cover Edition for $(ca)34.13 which is about $(usd)30. Thanks for mentioning it I think I may go pick this book up sometime :)
