It's always been unknown because he has no memories of childhood. Specualtion is around 150-160 years old.

Wolverine needs to switch labels, he would be so much cooler if a company with some balls had license rights. He ought to be cussing and drinking ad getting laid regularly, have more gory battle scenes, etc. In that trailer they show him getting shot in the face and not even take a wound. What makes wolverine cool is the ability to literally get ripped to bloody shreds yet still keep going, like an organic terminator.

Magneto already removed his adamantium. F*cker still had bone claws underneath. The removal of the metal also made him stronger since his body was in a constant state of recovery with it attached to all of his bones...

But I digress, sure that was part of marvel ultimate, but I don't care, still a great pic. "It's only a flesh wound..."
