Will the real Slim Silver please stand up? (Lean Fuel Extreme Sponsored Log)

Silver, we are all here to help each other. We all struggle, however we all learn. That's the most important thing.

I may come of alittle blunt sometimes but for all the best. You'll thank us when you are a shredded beast

I agree. I have learned a ton since I have been a member of this site and learn more every day.

Your a d!ck, but I like you so it is OK. :duel:

I actually prefer the honest approach that I have received since I have been on this site. Some of the first posts I ever received were from TL and GMG saying good job on the progress, but here is where you can improve! Slowly, but surely I am making more progress.

I could not agree more with what TL and Big have said.....Clean is Lean Silver! The further away you can get from simple carbs the better.

Carbs aren't necissarily your problem. I eat my share of complex carbs and have abzzzz.

I don't eat A LOT of carbs, and I am taking glycobol... but still... oats and brown rice homie. They are fuel that doesn't turn into fat. Eat those carbs up until 4-5 in the afternoon then veggies and protein. I mean, yea you can go to Ketosis, but you can easily burn the fat if you just fuel yourself with food that doesn't get stored into fat as easy.

CLEAN doesn't mean CARBLESS. I don't consume a lot but I do consume some. I need it for energy.

I also don't think you eat enough. You could fit in 2 more meals in the day, and if they are clean... well your metabolism will actually raise to accommodate for those two meals.

But in reality PR is right. There is gonna be a point where you are just gonna be figuratively treading water if your diet doesn't change... no-matter what you do at the gym. And at that point in time, why even waste the money on supplements and steroids? What this all comes down to is people trying to run before they can walk. If your diet is spot on, you'll grow. Period. It's just a ratio... pure math at that point. You eat more, work harder... grow more. Eat less, lose fat. But when you throw yourself a diet curveball every few days, all that work just gets flushed down the sh*tter.

Seriously man, just copy my diet. I'll even write it out for you. Follow it to the letter, no exceptions, and I swear to you that you will see results in a month, no supplements needed. It's boring as hell, but you'll see results. You have a choice to make right now... it's eat what you want and never look the way you want... or you can eat what you should and look the way you want. To me, I can eat that crap when I am 70 yrs old, can buy myself a 21 year old girlfriend and all the viagra I can handle. Who cares if I am fat then? But as of right now, who cares what I have to eat... it's just food. And honestly, good food tastes really good, and makes you feel good too.

MrBigPR has given me a good plan and I just need to make the right call and follow the plan he laid out. This weekend I will be going to the store to get some of the items so I can lock it down starting next week. I will also grill some of the stuff up on Sunday so I can't use the excuse that I don't have it prepared.

Thank you for taking the time to assist me and help keep me on the right track. I can say for a fact that progress has been made in the last 2 weeks already. I went from being stuck/plateaued at 197lbs to hitting 193.5 for the first time in over a year. I had the chance to enjoy food and look like **** from 18 - 33ish. I looked decent from 33-35 and want to look great from 35 on so I need to change my ways.

Silver when you cook everything keep in mind microwave cooking time. Nothing like chewing on a sh*tty dried out chicken breast and knowing you have to finish. We've got your back bro, make us proud

I've been going to whole foods and buying a couple one pound packages of white meat ground turkey... Pretty much fat free. I cook up a pound at a time, and add spices (garlic powder, black pepper, red pepper)... I polish it off with about 2 tablespoons of olive oil... Put that sh*t in the fridge in an airtight container, and eat a third of it with one fresh zucchini every night, and top it off with some fresh salsa from Whole Foods.

Its delicious... Earlier in the day you can serve that on a bed of brown rice.

May have to move away from eating everything the wife makes - or eating the kids food. My girlfriend had to adapt to the fact that I'm going to be cooking separate meals for her and I 80% of the time.

That's funny you say that TL. I eat my meals and the rest of the house has their food.

Thats exactly how we roll here at my home. My wife sometimes gets a bit ticked when I don't eat what she has made but she gets over it. And that kid stuff? forget it! they burn through all that stuff and it makes no difference to them. If I eat that crap I go into a coma.
Good food, like G said, tastes good and just makes you feel good. And it will make you look good. Stay focused! All sorts of good advice from these good guys.

100% on the same page. I have to eat my own thing. If I ate what my daughter did, I would be a load of blubber

It is the worst. The stuff all smells good and I'm sure it tastes good. Such a battle. But the end result would be big fat Dad which is not even close to cool.

Day 17 and 18

Starting Weight: 198lbs
Day 7 Weight: 196lbs
Day 14 Weight: 193.5lbs

Starting Measurements: Waist 36.75" Belly over belly button: 37.5"

Observations:

Lean Fuel Extreme is still doing it's work. If you have followed this log you will have seen that I have made some diet mistakes over the last 18 days and I am still down almost 5lbs and hoping for more by Sunday's weigh in. The appetite control is good with 4 caps a day. The energy is there, but less than ECA and not as jittery as Venom. Overall it seems to be a great product and one that I will buy myself down the road in the future when I need a productive fat burner.

Supplements
Lean Fuel Extreme @ 4 caps/day (2 AM, 2 around 11AM)
Whey Protein
Multi Vitamin
Xtend on workout Days
Fish Oil @ 9 caps (I upped the dosage because my joints are sore)
Fiber Chewables

Food today:
Day 17
Oatmeal with pecans and a banana
30g Protein shake
Lunch was a grilled tilapia, grilled zuccini and red beans w/rice .
Ate a special K protein bar prior to reading the post from MrBigPR (I gave away the last 2 bars)
Dinner was 2 peanut butter sandwhiches on whole wheat bread.
30g protein shake

Missed my extra cardio day due to the wife's work committments. I will get my extra cardio in on Wed.

Day 18
30g Protein shake
Oatmeal with pecans
We had a site issue at work and it kept me from eating my planned lunch. Luckily for my hunger there was some left over food from an exec meeting. I had one rib, one peice of brisket and one peice of sausage.
Snack was a whole wheat wrap with light mayo and deli chicken breast.

Negatives:
No negatives to report. Sleep is great except for being on a con call until after midnight.

Other Notes:

Ever heard of Scared Straight where they would take kids to jails and have them scared ****less by inmates to keep them from using drugs and getting in trouble? That was last night for me learning that I was not doing the right things about my diet. I will be getting my diet more in check. I am just excited to think that 5lbs down with a decent diet and think if I can dial it in more it will really pay off!

Thx again for all the comments!

Diet is 90% of it man! Get your healthy carbs in earlier in the day and taper off into more fats, proteins, and veggies later on. Keep killing it!

Scared Slim!! For some reason I have this picture of TL with a giant jar of metamucil and an enema bag yelling at you....

Scared Slim!! For some reason I have this picture of TL with a giant jar of metamucil and an enema bag yelling at you....

That is my vision with GMG cracking the whip if I try assisted pullups and MrBigPR slapping the fajita out of my hands as I try to stuff my face.

All good my brothers!

Wow. Haven't read this thread in a couple of days and it's gone crazy. Lots of love here for Silver. I'm jealous ;)

I think most days I do pretty good about getting 1g of protein per body weight, but I definately am not close to the 2g/lb. I start thinking too much about calories and sometimes make choices to not have an extra snack to keep the calories lower.

The goal you set out for yourself in Post #1 is to get down to 185lb and 15% body fat. This is a cut. You don't need 2g protein/lb.

Get the diet in check to get the BF down. Lift hard and get 1g protein/lb to maintain muscle mass. It's easier to lose fat than to build muscle so set your plan, stick with it and the pounds will come off.

It is harder to do a log on a weight loss supplement compared to a prohormone. I miss talking about how I almost flipped and beat the crap out of a douchebag or how I was able to kill a PR. However, I know this product is working and it is probably the best fit for this stage of my development. Diet is getting a little tougher and I can't stomach some of the things that you hard core guys can handle. I tried cottage cheese last night and even mixed in some cinnamon bun whey, but could not handle the texture so that is out.

I know what you mean about the difficulty of logging this stuff. The changes come slowly so there's not much to report day-to-day.

Hopefully we'll have great results at the end though!

Unfortunately, I don't think I am going to be able to keep a 100% strict body builder diet, but I will try to do a better job than have been due to the knowledge you guys are giving me. There are lots of bad habits that I have to unlearn!:damnit:

Have you tried Invalid Link Removed That and a food scale are your best friends. I didn't realize how far off base my diet was until I started logging religiously with Fitday. It's made a huge difference for me and lots of other guys swear by it.

just a thought, calories are a nonsensical thing to me. They are a measure of heat, no more no less. Worry about sugar, fat, sodium etc...

I disagree with you here. At least for people who are on a cut. I think it's hard to drop BF unless you're monitoring you caloric intake.

Everyday I have a calorie target and a protein target. I try to keep carbs as low as possible and don't worry much about fat because I eat very little unhealthy fat. Most days C/F/P all end up 30-40% of total calories.

It's really only rough for a week or two without the sugar Silv.... then you forget about it man. Seriously, try going two weeks without cheating and see how different you feel. I've stopped cheating once a week. Twice a month is enough for me.

Very, very true. Once you get over the hump the thought of eating junk will repulse you. When people around me are eating junk food I'm not tempted to partake, I'm literally grossed out by it.

Every once in a while I'll be at a meeting and cave in to the temptation of pizze (just one slice) but when your diet is on target 90% of the time and your digressions are small it won't hurt you.

I'd like to see your diet. I'm sure I could learn a thing or two from it.

If your diet is in check there isn't much I can teach you.

I eat really simple stuff, unless I am on a date and am trying not to be completely OCD about bodybuilding as to not freak a chick out, I eat plain jane meals. Chicken and brown rice, eggs and oatmeal. Spinach salad with almonds. Steak and sweet potatoes. It's a science not a magic trick.

I am going to go ahead an disagree on this one! I recommend that you are closer to 2g/lb on a cut than in a bulk. The higher your protein is the higher your bcaa levels are and the easier it will be to hold onto lean mass. If you drop your protein too low on a cut you will loose lean mass, thats just a fact. I recommend shooting for 2/g lb of protein in a cut. I keep mine around that level year round and i seem to be doing all right.lol:duel:

I am going to step in and say that the calorie totals do matter....above and below maintenance level depending on your purpose(Bulk/Cut). With that being said, the carbs are where the variation should take place to alter that calorie point. The protein and (good)fats should pretty much stay constant. I always try to get 1.5-2g per lb BW of protein in. The carb intake is the variable.

WTF Just happened to my thread. I am not sure I can log anymore after hearing the song and seeing the guys reaction. I think I am going to go spend some one on one time with mine to let it know how important it is to me.

Good night guys....nightmares coming I am sure!

LOL

Gotcha. Your previous post sounded like you had a very specific diet. But if you were referring to general principles I've got it down.

I can totally relate about not freaking chicks out with diet obsession. I'm waaaay more anal about what I eat than any check I've ever known or dated. I think the last girl I started dating lost interest because our first dates were in the middle of my h-drol cycle and I wouldn't drink any alcohol when we went out. I think that killed it for her :(

The whole not drinking thing has ruined it for me with a bunch of girls. But in reality they are all party girls who don't share my goals, so why would I want to build a relationship with them? At least that is how I figure it.

I have a specific diet, just it's nothing out of the ordinary.

Eggs and oatmeal for breakfast

Protein shake

Sandwich on ezekiel bread for lunch... usually a fatty meat like an italian sandwich, sometimes I'll do turkey or chicken though, but i struggle to get enough fats in sometimes.

Can of tuna and oatmeal pre workout

Shake w/ carbo gain post workout

Dinner lean meat with some sort of veggies

another can of tuna by itself... maybe with a shot of EVOO

Shake before bed.

That's about average for me. I switch things up here and there, but it's what has been working for me lately. This is my recomping on glycobol diet though... I'd probably drop a meal of carbs if I was gonna be cutting real hard.

Quick update...

Last night I went to a company party for the wife. I wasn't too worried because the invite said BBQ. After driving 2 hours in rush hour traffic I get there and no BBQ just catered mexican food. I was hoping for fajitas so I could eat some meat, but it was enchiladas and taquitos (damnit). Since I was hungry by that point I caved in and had 2 enchiladas and some beans. I also drank a couple coors lights (first beers since I started LFE).

Today I have been on point and ate good clean foods to even it out.

Hope everyone has a great/safe July 4th.

Wouldn't worry about the times when you really have no choice... I eat a little dirty when I'm out with the woman's family and stuff... Obviously I can't bring food into a freakin French restaurant or something...

The times when I get less than pleased, is when you cheat at home... or make excuses about your intake during the week. Eating well at home is EASY... thats the bread and butter of your diet.

:werd:

Don't starve yourself man. You seem to make some good choices to try and offset the dirtyness.

I'm problably gonna eat a little dirty when I get home, mom is coming to town :approve:

With the routine of the work week...this is easy to keep the diet strict. If I can get 5 really good days in then the weekend can have a little give as far as the diet.

This weekend was not one of my best diet wise. I did decent, but I did have a cookie or 2, but was pretty active. I had my normal Sat workout followed by a long cardio session. Went to the in-laws for the 4th of July and played in the pool. We also had a family softball game (it was tough to play in flip flops). I did stay away from beer after friday night.

I forgot to weigh in this morning so I will put a good update in tomorrow with weights. I do think I am going to prove this is not a magic pill requires a decent diet to ensure weight loss is happening. I went to the store and picked up some pretty good food for my diet purposes and plan to stick with it for the remaining run.

That is just plain nasty. LMAO

J/K I bet you are so excited to come home!

 I think I'm just too anxious to leave. I will f*ck up a good choc chip cookie or 2 (or 3 or 4)

Day 19 - 22

Starting Weight: 198lbs
Day 7 Weight: 196lbs
Day 14 Weight: 193.5lbs
Day 22 Weight: 195.5lbs (This is my fault and not LFE's)

Starting Measurements: Waist 36.75" Belly over belly button: 37.5"

Observations:

So....earlier last week I was feeling really good about myself and I actually weighed in at 192.5lbs and was extremely pleased. Then comes the mexican food-a-thon that was my weekend. Friday night's was unexpected, but I did enjoy a few beers as well. Saturday I ate a light breakfast, worked out hard and had a light lunch. Then went to the July 4th party and I admit that I had more fajitas there and then ate some sweets. Yep...the former fat boy gene took over. Sunday I did better, but we cooked some meat on the grill and I didn't eat as light as I should have.

That being said, this week I will make it up to IronMagLabs and prove that I was a good choice even with my bad stretch.

Supplements
Lean Fuel Extreme @ 4 caps/day (2 AM, 2 around 11AM)
Whey Protein
Multi Vitamin
Xtend on workout Days
Fish Oil @ 9 caps (I upped the dosage because my joints are sore)
Fiber Chewables

Food today:

Ignoring the weekend's food intake described above.

Day 18
30g Protein shake
Oatmeal with pecans
Worked out with 25 min of cardio
30g protein shake
Rotisserie Chicken, with grilled veggies and spinache
handful of almonds between meeting
Dinner is a whole wheat wrap with grilled chicken.

Negatives:
LFE is not a magic pill and sometimes it seems I need one of those to battle my FFB gene that tries to overtake me.

Other Notes:

I am back on track and will be finishing this run strong. I don't know of any other functions coming up that will knock me back off track and regardless I will stay the course!

Day 23

Starting Weight: 198lbs
Day 7 Weight: 196lbs
Day 14 Weight: 193.5lbs
Day 22 Weight: 195.5lbs (This is my fault and not LFE's)

Starting Measurements: Waist 36.75" Belly over belly button: 37.5"

Observations:

I am back to keeping the diet in check and I am really motivated to finish strong. Last night I had to skip my normal gym time to have dinner with my daughter for her birthday (can't believe I have an 11 year old). We ate at Genghis Grill and I loaded up tons of protein and some veggies in the bowl. I also ordered a side of brown rice. I only finished half the bowl and that was one of the only times I remember myself tap out when good food was still available. I saved the remainder for lunch so all was good.

I also was not satisfied skipping my cardio day so I pulled up my P90x Kenpo AVI and actually did the full session. That was pretty rough, but it has a great stretching session which loosened my back up. I was sweating like crazy and the kids thought I was nuts kicking, punching and sweating when they walked by.

Food yesterday:

Ignoring the weekend's food intake described above.

Day 18
30g Protein shake
eggs with ham (less than 2 eggs)
Oatmeal with pecans
lunch was 2 eggs with turkey sausage and a side of wheat toast
handful of almonds before the drive home
Dinner was a half bowl of chicken, steak and shirmp with a small side of brown rice.
After my 50 minute Kenpo session I chugged a 30g protein shake

Negatives:
All is going well. The desire is back and appetite control is going great.

Other Notes:

I lifted the other day and actually tried a previous max on bench press (315). I was pretty suprised that I was unable to lift it. I think trying to cut weight, sore back preventing me from going heavy and sore joints has me much weaker. Fuk it, at least I look better than I used to.

That last part is very true. I have noticed that I can't lift as much on some things but more on other, but I look better now than ever. So i must be doing something right. Remember you are working your muscles not your ego, and everyone's body is different.

I am with you, its tough to maintain strength on a cut. Last summer I dropped 30lbs using ECA, all my lifts hit the crapper, but I had nice abs :)

Dinner was rotisserrie chicken and a scoop of mashed potatoes

Negatives:
None.

Other Notes:

The weight is coming back off and I know the scale is moving in the right direction. I am about finished with my first bottle so I know I have to really focus on my goals and acheive them with this second bottle. Thx again IronMagLabs!!!

Stay away from the mashed potatoes especially that late in the day.

I know and I typically avoid them but we were all out of veggies and the wife made dinner. I only got enough for flavoring to go with my chicken. I did great last night avoiding carbs post 6PM though.
