Unanswered Will a backpack work as a makeshift weighted vest?

Anyone made their own, on the cheap?

I don’t see why it wouldn’t. Id get one that’s reinforced, maybe like a tactical one but it would definitely work.

Like 3clipseGT said, it should work. There are cheap belts online that I've seen for like $20-30 though. I'd think the quality of backpack needed for the extra weight would be that same price or more.

I had my friend make a belt for me. He worked in a shop as a fabricator. So he took an old weight lifting belt I had, put two rivets on each end and fitted some metal rings. Then I would just attach a chain and carabiner. The quality of this belt is 10x that of your average belt, very heavy duty
