Hi all,

I am a 34 year old man struggling with insomnia (wake up early in the morning no matter what I do) and frequent urination. In the last few months, I made several laboratory tests and I would like to get some help.

Here is some data from my lab results, which could be relevant:

Total Testosteron : 22 nnmol/L
SHBG: 50,8 nnmol/L
Free Testosteron: 1,46 %
17-OH progesterone: 2.83 ng/mL
Aldosteron / Renin ratio (ADRR): 11.02 pg/uIU
Estradiol (E2) 93.4 nmol/l

I take proviron for the high SHBG.

What is really interesting to me is the high 17-OH progesterone. On the results document, it was in the red zone. Maybe that is because my cortisol could be also high? It would be logical because of my bad sleeping. But maybe this also influences my sleeping. The Aldosteron / Renin ratio is also in the red zone.

Any help is appreciated!

Greetings,
Tamas

So what I have found so far is that 17-OH progesterone takes part in the production of cortisol and the testosterone produced by the adrenal glands. I attached an image about the adrenal steroidogenesis pathway.

frequent urination is a problem usually linked with diabetes or insulin resistance. try like 1g of inositol morning and night.
could be something as absurd as sleep apnea.. I used to have problems with urinations at night before my 30's. Went away with age and I'm just about your age though.

what prohormones or supplemets are you on? are you taking any supps to lower cortisol at all? And like everybody else says. see an endocrinologist.

I have the same issue with frequent urination when to hormone Dr and urologist. Had a Cystoscopy done as well and all sorts of blood work you name it. All my bloods came back normal. Actuallly all pretty much perfect and blood sugar/A1C in perfect range Prostate health great. End if the day was told over active bladder. Been to a few Drs over the years.
Also if you are drinking a lot of fluids that can be the cause. Also stress and anxiety could create an over active bladder and for a fact stomach issues can contribute to frequent urination like constipation or gas or just having to sht often. could be some inflammation as well of prostate or bladder…. What I am Telling you is all stuff u deal with and have dealt with and through Drs. This ain’t me giving you bro science advice.
I’d def say get to a urologist and gets bloods done and go from there. Good luck don’t stress stress helps nothing and just relax. You’ll be fine man
