No, that stands alone in stupidity.Like what?
Is it more stupid than this?
That makes me feel like a little kid again, standing in line to go watch some stupid movie with my folks, while all the cool older kids were in the next line going to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show. No, that stands alone in stupidity.
More like this.
BTW - I saw the Dolls at the House of Blues a few years ago, they were GREAT. My wife might remember it differently.
Perhaps one of my favorite stories involves my Dad. What a great guy he was (in fact, he was my best man the first time I got married). Well, it was circa 1974 and KISS had just started touring on the west coast. I was going to get tickets, but I got sick. So, because I couldn't go buy tickets - my father stood in line, at the Los Angeles Forum, to buy tickets for me and my buddy. I will never forget what he said when he dropped the tickets on my dresser "Son, if the people standing in line are the same people who are going to that concert, good luck".That makes me feel like a little kid again, standing in line to go watch some stupid movie with my folks, while all the cool older kids were in the next line going to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
You were truly blessed sir. And I definitely am because mine is still with me but definitely hated most of my music so thank goodness half of it was the same stuff he listened to. When I saw War Pigs I knew I had to keep reading. Keep it going!Perhaps one of my favorite stories involves my Dad. What a great guy he was (in fact, he was my best man the first time I got married). Dad passed away 25 years ago, tomorrow.
What a great man he was.
Good for you. When I was about 18 years old, my Dad and I agreed that we would hug and kiss one another every time we saw one another. I've never regretted that. At first, it was a bit out of his comfort zone - but for a man of his generation he was willing to change. You were truly blessed sir. Thank you much for the stories and i surely will. Big band?! Thats awesome. Good music for sure. Grew up on Sinatra and all the rest so heard that stuff as well in between frank and tony. What a great generation of ppl. And grandfather was on wwII anti tank brigade so that sticky bomb stuff from private ryan was what he did. Ballsy stuff. One morning while he was in the shower i opened his top dresser drawer and seen an iron cross belt buckle, ss lapel pins and cufflinks and some other stuff. Crazy. His "trophies" for his buddy that didnt come home. Miss that man. Taught me what it means to be a man, along w my father of course.Good for you. But, boy, did he hate the music I listed (loudly) to. He used to say it sounded like a "G#@ damned car fight". In many way, he was right. Prior to being a B-26 pilot in WWII, he had led a big band - so he actually knew what music was supposed to sound like.
Boy, I loved that guy. Love your Dad as long as you have him.
this is some good stuff, this is new to me. the dude is skinny but kinda muscular at the same timeYou can't tell me that this doesn't resonate with you ... right TheBigT?
The Tubes were a band out of San Francisco in the late 1970s and they did a lot of strange characters and parodies (many bands did, like Sparks of the same era), but their music was awesome. The entire first album is terrific. It is one of those albums that you have to listen to a few times, but eventually it gets you.this is some good stuff, this is new to me. the dude is skinny but kinda muscular at the same time

Good music should always make you want to slug someone in the throat ...
I think that chick found jimi's stash of 'purple haze'....I often wonder what jimi would be able to do with todays technology. And this this:
Listen to Tailor Scott shred the 1/32 notes.
If I could do that, I would quit my job and just stay home.
