Whisky’s test e, tbol, liquidien and winny cycle log

You’ve been killing it this cycle Whisky. One missed lift means nothing. Next attempt you will have that in the back of your head and get pissed off and rip the bar off the plates.

Day 60

Here’s where I make myself look like a bit of a twat........but I don’t bullsh1t in life and this forum is no different.

Despite knowing that Hyde is completely correct, hell its exactly what I would tell any of my clients, I also don’t always do what I know is right.

I did get back in and hit the same series of lifts and did make 5x451 (pr) - actually really happy with the form, felt solid.

I accept it might bite me on the ass over the next few days but on the flip side mentally not making a lift a knew I had in me might have knocked me off course. Time will tell and I’ll learn more about myself and my body for sure. I do have natural ability to recover well (that and endurance are literally my only natty strengths) and tomorrow will be a rest day for sure.

Ultimately was a naive move by me I know.....

Other than that it’s been a normal day. Eating like a champ and Keeping protein really high, loads of different sources.

Did also start the gw today and I normally start to feel the benefits of that within a few days so should be fun.
**** yeah!! Awesome dude!

I am very happy you nailed it today! I suspected you would go for it. However, you do want to get to a place mentally where you don’t have to prove things to yourself to know you can make a lift. The advanced dinosaur has supreme belief in what he is capable of when it counts.

Wise words....I try to keep learning

WHat gains have you made weight wise? What's your diet look like? Sorry just getting in on this one.

I'm that weird guy that starts to breathe heavy before attempting a heavy lift, hitting the sides of my head with both palms of my hands, while shouting stuff like: "common you sucker" or "lets do this". LOL!

I do that all of the time! I’m not saying he shouldn’t need to psyche up to make a lift - just that he’s not some amateur lifter that has to bench his max every other week to make sure he’s still go it lol.

Lets make a video about it !!! Its hilarious the kind of rituals we perform. I do it like this sometimes:

Good to have you here bro.

Weight is up 30lbs but lots of water came early on. My best guess is around 15lbs lean mass but I have a dexa scan on Monday which will inform that more.

Calories currently at 4,250 (been building up over the weeks), protein at 400g plus a day, even split on fats and carbs.

I tend to be more silent and focused than shouty before the set. Mid set I’ll often shout out though.

I do go through the same little set up routine on all my lifts in terms of positioning, initial bar contact etc.

Me too, I tend to go inside to an animalistic place that dwells inside. Get quiet and focused and then BAM!!! Open the gate and unleash the beast on the lift. Sometimes I notice myself emitting a low guttural growl when deep in the zone. The first time I heard it when the music stopped on my MP3, it surprised me, then the wife said Oh you have never heard yourself do that? You normally have your head phones in but you do it a lot during an intense workout or before you attempt a really heavy lift.

Go figure eh...

I like to find a quiet, uninhabited corner of the gym and do a nice long quiet fart. Then can I deadlift with confidence.

PRs are coool ... that is all.

oh and that 5x541, means you earned the right to wear one of my new shirt designs.. "human forklift" sounds fitting..

Day 61 - rest day. Felt good and wanted to lift but life got in the way anyway. Had planned to rest so all good.

Day 62

Weird day really. Mad busy, lack of sleep, work is just crazy busy so always makes focusing on gym tough.

However did manage to get in to train.

Highlights

Back squat 3 reps at 352 (pr) felt heavy, how Benny moves 180kg so fast is beyond me lol

Bench 3 reps at 248 (felt easy but was a pr)

Bent over row 3 reps at 248 (pr)

Pretty smoked afterwards to be honest. Bit surprised I made it all but I’ll take it. Thought I’d struggle more off the orals.

I know from my recreational drug use in the past that subsequent cycles won’t elicit quite the same response but **** me this is fun haha.

Abs and arms tomorrow then Sunday we attempt all the above 3 rep pr’s for 5 reps!

Nice work dude! PR after PR, you are really smashing through barriers on this run!!!
Everything over 150kg feels heavy and slow for me, in the absence of acute pain I make my loading decisions based on how things look on video - do you video your lifts?

Yep, every top set....

Normally with squats I’m looking to check my hips don’t shoot up early - used to have a big problem with that.

Day 63

Felt ok, went for a run in the morning and hit arms and abs. Not the most intense session ever but I use that day as a lower intensity day anyway.

Day 64

Tough day, actually been sleeping well lately and did so again. So probably expected to hit every lift I training (I didn’t).

Weight isn’t moving up though, I do look leaner which is positive but I’m definitely learning that my calorie intake is going to have to be significantly higher if I hit an all out bulk cycle. I seem to get to around 228 bw easy whilst being aware there’s a lot of water there but I’m around a 1000 Cals a day more than when I first got to that mark and just not moving the scale.

But if I’m getting stronger I’ll take that as a sign muscle is still increasing.....so training nightlights

Back squat 5 x 352 pr - felt really maximal though....

Bench - missed 5 at 248 (really expected to make this). Couldn’t get right for some reason and had no spotter which stopped me just trying the rep.

Bent over row - 5 x 248 pr again though maximal

I was expecting these weeks to be tough. No oral and obviously been increasing weights every week. It has been but I’m still happy with progress. Just gonna make sure I keep calories up and see what happens next week before the winny gets involved.

Hope you all have a good weekend

Congrats on the two PRs! Glad its all going well!

Cheers. It’s got to the point now though where the prs are taking everything I’ve got. Before now I was making the numbers in my program and always felt like I had something in reserve, that reserve has all been used now. I know progress will be harder but I also know I can make more progress. Should be an interesting next 2 months lol

Bought time for some updated pics ehhh? Not for me, hairygrandpa and SFreed where asking

If you aren’t gaining weight, getting leaner, and trying to hit your numbers on just the test - you need to up your calories.

You have to fuel the machine, and realize that your ability to hit those numbers will be directly correlated to how much you consume. Food is power.

Sumo wrestlers have the highest natural fat-free mass index in the world, by a significant margin. Eat big to lift big.

Yep yep yep, I know this is true but probably did need to be told it as well. I’m very very slowly getting to the point where my fear of fat regain stops preventing me gaining but that is a slow journey that’ve not yet completed. Will update from today in a bit but gonna eat some more first in the spirit of trying lol

Day 65

So no big training today - did hit some incline bench volume - tried to learn from last week and stayed away from back all together.

Had a bit of headache all day, nothing severe and might have been from staying in a hotel last night (air con sometimes does that to me). Felt a bit meh all day but not reading much into it.

Did however have a dexa scan which was interesting.

It’s the third scan (on that machine) I’ve had in 14 months and the first was just before my first cycle.

According to dexa in that time I’ve gained 10,251g lean mass (22.5lbs) and lost 3,103g fat (6.82lbs). I’ve run 2 oral cycles and obviously midway through this test run.

Obviously taking peds the fat loss/lean mass gain is expected, the results don’t strike me as outstanding but for a 36 yr old with what I guess are no better than average genetic and natural hormone levels it seems solid.

Interestingly my bf comes in at 17%, however I think I’ve posted before back in jan when dexa had me at 18% and I had abs....probably do have some hard to shift fat from my fatty days but the operator also said they’ve never had anyone below 10% (the demographic of people getting these are generally people into fitness) so I think the calculations may differ to what we would normally expect).

I’m actually happy with that percentage as I know how I looked at 18% so if I can come in a few percent better at the end of this run it should be decent.

Looking at the pictures I hold more fat in my ass than anywhere else.

Bone density has also increased in that time (was just above average to begin with anyway).

Useful info for sure and it was massively discounted which is always a bonus.

Gonna keep pushing on and try to keep things moving up over the next few weeks.

Have a good week brothers

Happy for you.. Things are for sure going forward. Don't think too much about percentage. Ive done the caliper recently and while it can be fun it can also be disappointing. The mirror is the way to go and if you feel you look better you probably are regardless of what any scale says.

My gf gets Dexascans on sale like that too and it’s so cool. Her arm and core on the side she uses for circus Db has like 1.5kg more muscle on it, and the opposite quad is bigger too, from the jerk. Very cool stuff, and good to show you if your gear is fake/underdosed & you’re not sure too lol.

Yeah the break down is interesting. My right arm and leg have more muscle mass but my left trunk has more than the right. I think because I’m right handed/footed the left trunk has to be more involved when I do anything on that side

I broke my right foot when i was younger, now when i walk or squat sometimes my left leg will ober power the right causing me to have a weird walking moment or a tilt coming up from a squat. Definitely noticeable when isolating my legs with extentions or curls.

10kg in 14months while dropping 3kg of fat is pretty ****ing outstanding in my book! Nice work mate!

Day 66

Felt amazing today, got a decent sleep and just felt good. Moving well, no joint issues, headache from yesterday totally gone.

Managed to sack off work early to go deadlift. Still following this overload program and knew today would be hard.

Goal was a set of 5 at 462 (11lb increase from last week). Made that fcuker (pr) but my god the last rep was the absolute definition of grind. Honestly felt like I was pulling for hours. First 3 were really decent, 4th one was a good rep but I knew on that one the 5th was gonna be tough. Glad I made it but I absolutely had nothing extra there so next week will be fun lol

Sat down for 20 mins until I stopped shaking and went to eat.

Happy days

I have to be honest man, 22.5 lbs of lbm in 14 months with 7lbs fat loss is stellar gains and progress at any age. People on gear can gain 22lbs in a year easily. However gaining 22lbs of LBM without the use of HGH or insulin... Not that common at all.

People have a lot of really high expectations from things. A lot of the times people see guys gaining 20-even 30lbs on cycle and think OH WOW they gained all that muscle... However many times those big numbers are preceded by someone coming out of a deep cut where they are 10-15lbs lighter than usual. People who would gain 15lbs just by starting to feed themselves. Give them gear and add a surplus and in the end it looks like they gained 30 lbs... however the LBM count is often in the 10lbs of LBM area for the cycle, if it was a GOOD CYCLE!!!! On top of that glycogen retention and what not are also often at play here. You go from a depleted state at the end of a diet and then add glycogen you have an easy 8-12lbs of instant gains there, which are considered LBM even though they are completely transient and not truly growth, just an increase in volume.

Basically what I am saying is that you are killing it, and often times people do things whether intentionally or not that tend to pad their gains so don't get caught up in all of that and know that even cycling once you are experienced 5lbs lbm in a year is solid gains!

I broke my right foot when i was younger, now when i walk or squat sometimes my left leg will ober power the right causing me to have a weird walking moment or a tilt coming up from a squat. Definitely noticeable when isolating my legs with extentions or curls.
Could also be that you have a twisted pelvis, easy enough to address with a little work. Mine twists from a major injury to my leg when I was 12 throwing them off balance, but you can put them back in place, and with consistent work get them to stay most of the time.

Congrats, now make sure to get some good rest too, that grinder more than likely took a toll on your CNS.

What do you think is the best and/or cheapest route to go with fixing that issue?

Day 67 - rest day (needed it after the deads)

Day 68 - wasn’t meant to be a rest day but fcuking life got in the way (by life I mean work) - probably wasn’t a bad thing in terms of recovery to be fair

Day 69

Update on general well-being: it’s been decent. Think I said this a few pages back but the massive difference for me between orals and pinning is how normal but decent I feel. As in on orals I felt like a constant buzz which was great at times but you never really had downtime from that. This time around I feel like I could do this forever, just feels normal but good normal if that makes sense.

Joints feel really nice at the moment, probably all the f ing water but I’ll take it.

Training today.

Top set of 3 back squat at 375.5 (pr)

Top set 3 bench at 253 (pr) but massive grind on the 3rd rep. Supposed to make this for 5 on Sunday which is gonna need a massively fast quick in from the winny lol

Top set of 3 bent over row at 253 (pr)

Load of shoulder volume (actually hit a 10 rep pr in seated dB press but didn’t realise until I checked back later).

Was a good training session but can definitely feel progress slowing big time. That said, winny starts Sunday and I’ll be continuing to push the Cals.

Really happy with where I am at this stage in the cycle - already way past where I was at my peak on my last run and I’ve got over 6 weeks left.

Hope everyone had a great week
