THanks guys. I was leaning towards reconditioning first, but as always, someone else always knows more than I do so I figured I'd ask.

I had some serious DOMS from chest day, back day so far. But the thing was, it wasn't DOMS but more like Instant Onset Muscle Soreness. I was tore up before I left the gym. I wish every workout was like that. I'd only have to be in the gym 45 minutes a day and I wouldn't have to worry about popping a tendon.

Feb 1. then on the cycle.:burg:

aaaaaahhhhh this forshadows what i was bout to post....

get back into the squat rack yesterday for the first time in 6 months and must have taken my retard pills before cause i decided to warm up with 135 lbs.... no prob.. BUT then i put on 205lbs WTF???? i was working with 225 and 235 before i quit out 6 moths ago and for some reason thought id be fine.... well i was BUT it was H-E-A-V-Y, so i say "eh derrrrr ill drop it only 20 lbs and thatll be ok" so my third rep @ 185lbs and i try to adjust the bar off my neck a lil as im pushing up and strain my lower back and feel a *POP*! "OH FCUK" i says as i barely push it the rest of the way and rack the weights....

now i cant even hardly take the 45lb plates of and put them on the lower bars of the plate rack and my lower back is just burning.... i still sit down and do a few cool down sets of extensions and leg curls and then ***** and whine the whole way home casue i have to drive stick and even pushing in the clutch hurts....

so ya 2 and a half weeks back in the gym and im now severley limited to what i can even do round my house.... thank goodness i just picked up 200g of bulk super cissus and will be dosing it 6g's ed(2g 3x) along with 1g 2x ed of 1-carboxy

well i get to see if i can still handle some light chest work tomorrow. ill have to have my partner take off all the weights from the rack for me though cause bending forward then lifting back the DB's just wont be able to happen... wish me luck guys.

I've done the same thing a few years ago PP. Except I had to walk home with my strained lower back. It was a task trying to sit or lay down.

Doctors gave me hydrocodone. Was out of the gym for 3-4 weeks.

I couldn't do barbell curls today because of my wrist. I almost dropped the 60lb barbell when I started to raise it, it hurt so bad

I'd bet its your L-4/L-3. Go to a GOOD Chiropractor if you can find one.

so you think its my spine rather then the tendons in my lower back????

Eh its hard to say. Any time I've had what you describe its been vertebrae.

If you go to a good chiro, they'll do ex rays to determine whats exactly screwed up.

Do you notice any burning sensations in the joints of your legs, i.e. hip, knee, ankle? I get almost a burning down the fronts of my thights, then every joint in my legs has a burning sorta when my low back goes out.

You can get the x-rays done to be sure it's nothing with the spine.

But my lower back strain sounds like it happened similar to yours. I heard and felt some popping sounds so I was freaked out I did something to my spine, but the x-rays and doctor said that wasn't the case.

I think if you had a serious injury to the spine, though, you wouldn't have been able to walk out of there and drive yourself home. My bet is it's just a muscular strain.

1. I likey Siren

2. Poop..same thing happened to me, too. Try icing it for a day, the alternate heat and cold every 20 - 30 mins.

In addendum, sleep on your back with a rolled up towel under your the crook of your neck so you are looking up and back sort of. Then put a few pillows under you legs from the knees down. ;)

well the biggest thing that leads me to belive its my tendons or part of the muscle is specifically it feels like its to the left and there was slight swelling on the left side the evening after it happened, ive been wearing a brace that my mother in law had since and it seems to help considerably.... but if in the next week or two i dont start feeling improvement ill have to figure how i can get an xray done.... since i dont have insurance. ouch.

so did you guys see ? theres a "new" 3-ad that is dshea compliant ala Superdrol NG, and adrenosterone is getting moved to a separate new product name.....

I've had similar to what you describe with a muscle 'scaling' and basically spasming from being strained when I stretch wrong. Heat and ice does help, but with that muscle spasming, it can pull your spine out of whack as well, and cause a flurry of other problems from knee to neck.

Give yourself a week. 2 is too many imho. The human body is amazing at healing itself.

I hear you on the insurance thing too. The **** aint cheap. But, what I did was called a chiropractor my girlfriend uses, and told them I wanted to come in, but I refuse to be x-ray'd. They asked "why?" because they want to make as much money as possible. I told them I had no insurance and I just wanted my back adjusted, and if I was waiting there more than 15 minutes I was going else where. They waived the xray fees just to get me in there for a basic $35 adjustment, so what it amounted to was an $80 discount. lol I know how much they make at that place. 3 chiropractors, working 5 hours a day, 4 days per week, and every one of them has a $1,000,000 home, one guy pays $4000/mo alimony and child support per month, and the other two have 7 kids. They don't need my $80 for xrays.

What you might want to try as well if you can afford one is an inversion table to relieve the constant downward pressure on your spine and supporting muscles.

:goodpost:

American Gladiators was anti-climactic. But luckily Chris Rock's newer stand up was on Comedy Central and that was hilarious.

I've decided to stop strength workouts for a week to let my wrist heal, but instead do maybe 1-1.5 hrs a day cardio.

Finally...ordered another bar of java soap, my capsules for capping, and a new scale. So as soon as these hit my doorstep the log will begin. Recomping ftw!

LMFAO

Did you cover the mouse with a little white sheet while you did your forensics investigation. You should have wrapped little yellow tape around the printer to keep the crime scene intact.

day 1 of cardio only went ok, 1 hr on the crossramp of HIIT, heart rate from 140-180, watching a bronx tale :) tomorrow will be 90 minutes

I never had the Power Glove, but my nephew did. He's 4 years younger than me.

Anyone else notice the 'tune' played as he pressed the buttons?

Its the same 'song' as Close Encounters Of the 3rd Kind.

beep-beep-beep beep beeeep

Power Gloves kinda sucked imho. I'm sure the WII thingy isn't much better.

I agree. I don't want to be working up a sweat while playing video games. I'd rather work up a virtual sweat and stay cute and organic on the couch.

Speaking of organic, we named the parasite festering in my girlfriends uterus Moe last night. I'm feeling emulsified.

mine too, but in my case its that they suck evenly

ouch....

i too think the Wii(mote) idea is great for kids and making sure they stay slightly active while vegging BUT i prefer my gaming chair and Xbox 360 and only getting up for supplementing, eating, excramenting and occasionally standing up and yelling at the TV (and into my "live" mic) that i should killed that guy and that was my fav..... bullsh!t

Hey fellas check it out, ive decided to log my progress again to keep me true to my routine and get pointers where possible come by and visit.....
