Whey On A Cut?

ya why not? you gotta keep protein intake high

i agree, but a lot of people increase use of bcaa's or eaas on a cut. extend or purple wraath used during workout is reported to prevent catabolism even when calories are reduced. a lot of other great bcaa/eea brands out there, those 2 just came to mind.

Generally speaking, when cutting you should maximise your protein intake to try and offset any possible muscle loss from the calorie deficit. That means, whey as well :)

Eh sorry not the best idea...

Why?

You are cutting, you don't get to eat as much so whey is less filling and in and out of you faster so you are left hungry and will less sustained amino acid release without the option of eating more until the proper time.

casien has proven to be anti catabolic so I would suggest a mix or straight milk isolate protein but honestly when cutting besides post workout you don't really need any protein powder

Sustained release proteins (e.g. milk isolate, casein, egg) are much better because of their slower digestion rates. Remember to add EFAs and some fiber with it as well to prolong the AAs even longer.
