lol..... who'd of thought? Up here, the shotputter's are lovingly referred to as "Fatties". They actually ran a non-official race at the end in a lot of meets, the "Fatty, Fatty 4x400". Shotputter's get NO action. lol. It's rare to have someone watch the event in a meet. LOL

Apparently you haven't been to texas Lan. Things are strange here. Just like linemen on the football team getting laid.

Deadlifting is only hard if you have a weak back / legs. I am all legs and back, with a side of chest and arms.

I went to state throwing discuss (all back baby).

I have a really strong core, so deadlifting is easy. True, I have further to travel, but if you can squat, and you have a strong back, deadlifting is child's play as long as your form is good. It's all in the form, same with discuss.

Yeah, my pulling groups are dominant. I can sometimes get away even with bad form on the deadlift and pull some decent stuff off the ground with just the lower back.

"in a jerking, twisting motion"

I'm one of those strange people's that would rather squat, hacksquat, and deadlift than bench any day of the week.

I used to abhor benching, and the only time I'd see other people using over 2 plates with deadlifts was when I happened to be there at the same time as a powerlifting club.

I don't see what's so intimidating about the deadlift.
