What is your favorite cheat meal?

If i went to a chinese buffet on a cheat to just eat chicken. I may as well just cook it at home and it would be 5x cheaper.
Mexican coming up soon, maybe another trip to Primanti's soon. Absolutely love those sandwiches
Birthday Dinner end of the month. Finding an epic fine dining joint.

there is no way you could cook the amount of chicken you would eat at a chinese buffet (which are like $10 max unless you go to an upscael, sushi type one - which is not what you're talking about eating anyways) for that much... the sauces/spices alone would cost you $10.

cheap chinese buffets are just that... super cheap. but delicious

My fav

Double helping of orange chicken with heaping pile of fried rice.

Oh ya, can't forget the chili sauce on top.

Since I am on that IIFYM ( If it fits your mouth ) I don't have a "Cheat Meal" but if I had to say of meals I want to splurge more calories on... it is whole roasted AU legs of lamb or AU Lamb sirloin 3" thick cut steaks seared in duck fat. Also whole spatchcocked roast duckling seared in duck fat over root veg which is slow roasted in duck fat.

Dat Lamb doe ;) This was done with a fresh cold pressed olive oil which I combined Lime zest/juice into along with fresh herbs including sprigs of rosemary garlic was crushed and spliced directly into the meat through some fairly thin cuts the fat helping to bloom the oils from the garlic into the meat it self.

Rob1882 That Lamb & Duck looks sooooo damn good! Nicely done! When I cheat I get down at Five Guys on a level that should be considered a crime! You're on a whole different level of cheat and I like your style! I'm going to give that lamb recipe a try!

Idk if I'd consider this a cheat because it didn't really put me over in macros or calories but this monsterpiece is a white chocolate PB cup stack of gains

Info on IG in a bit

That looks great as is. I'm not a CnC fan, but if you are, go for it. I think you could put crushed up Oreos in the CnC layer. Would add some nice texture to it.

Oreos in PB...
Or red velvet would look insane between brownie layers

One of several similar meals I ate yesterday :D

Cut Steaks out of a AU Lamb leg using the sirloin end cut thick, rubbed in salt and rosemary; and seared in duck fat using cast iron.

That IIFYM breh's am I gunna make it?

The Solution I ****ing love curry :)

Curry is good stuff. Slow cook it, and let it simmer = the thicker it gets. Plus the added flavor to a basic stirfry is epic.

You know my Family is English; prac our National dish ;)

I have made and make a lot of curry just lately more for others than for myself but tons of Tikka, Jalfreezi & Vindaloo using Lamb, Goat and various Game :D

I've been going korma, love the aromatics.

Then I add enough spice to scare even my Indian company lol, legitimately.

Can't say I've used lamb/goat myself yet, preferable?

Get on my level breh ;)

Prob eat more Lamb than most here eat chicken; So I def think so I buy NZ and AU Lamb 40-80# at a time mostly legs but I do buy/eat chops just not as often. Goat is very similar to Lamb and is super common in many curry dishes, even more so when looking at Island cuisine from occupation days.

Curry is English specifically the English version of Indian cuisine from days of British Imperialism.

Confit is a preservation/cooking method which is very slow and you would not use Breast but leg/drums but I eat that as well and it is so damn good!

Duck confit over duck fat fried potatos = food of the gods

You consider that a cheat meal Rob?

You consider that a cheat meal Rob?

As I posted before I eat IIFYM ( If it fits your mouth ) I don't have cheat meals ;)

And I eat those foods losing weight or gaining weight; But if you think you think you can hang down 14 ounces of Lamb, 2 cups of rice, 300-400g broccoli and have a milk shake with it ( A normal meal for me ).

Weight loss... am I doing it right? :D

The only thing I change is amounts at a time and how many meals, but consider my lunch today alone was 1300 calories and I will eat several more times today yet.

Is there a "right" way?

I smashed 4k last night in popcorn and ice cream lol. Needed it.
Dropped 3 lbs. unplanned last week too :(

adjusting to the season shift it seems

Read the title of the thread bruh :)

Ya I counted mine.
Some might say thats "not a cheat"

Piss off though lol 4k above planned is a cheat ;)

Sorry I'm OCD on counting sometimes

Just pullin your chain

Looks bomb per usual

Can confirm duck is very good same with lamb

I went to a fine dining place last year and the lamb was delicious. Heading back there soon for my birthday dinner and may grab that dish again even though it costs an arm and a leg

Curry wise tikka masala one of my favorites and so easy. If I am not tracking I just add a ton of sriracha oil and full fat coconut milk for tons of flavor and hundreds of calories haha

I think we are prob all guilty of that to a degree :X I work pretty hard not to obsess to much having come down a fairly large amount ( 175# loss ) it's a continued struggle.

Go through periods of time with lots of Ben & Jerrys and Haagen Dazs love those high fat ice creams just redic textures and frozen custard it's like stupid smooth and good lol 800 calories for a tiny cup ><

Frozen Meadows? I think its called near me does this blueberry frozen custard like omg O.O

Just pullin your chain

Looks bomb per usual

Strawberry Shortcake Oreo's:

Invalid Link Removed

Pro's:
- Very rich strawberry flavor
- Great Strawberry and cream aftertaste
- 150 kcals for two Oreo's

Con's:
- Darker Oreo cracker has no difference in taste
- No resealable cover on front of Oreo package
- Needs denser shortcake flavor in cracker.

Nice review on the Oreo's Bob. I think I'll look for them this weekend when I go shopping. Where did you find them?

Edit - Just saw your post in the other thread.

If i were to rank my favorite seasonals they would prob fall top 5
Reese and Cinnamon Bun are still my all time favorite. but again.. as you read in my review I would rather opt for Cookie Dough (which i thought the cookie dough oreos were pretty weak) caramel and PB

If they made a Caramel Cupcake Oreo that would be epic.

You'd be amazed how many people don't like Curry. I'll put it on anything. It's a nice sweet but slightly spicy spice.

My favorite cheat meal is Ranch and Spehgetti. Looks nasty, but tastes good.
