What is your favorite cheat meal?

Why not? cheat meal, not like i am counting calories. There were about 3x as many potatoes, just did not want to skew the presentation haha.

In that case... Treat yo self!

I'm shopping big today.

Target Canada is dead. They are all shutting down and clearing out inventory at blow out pricing.

Sad, but they came up here way too late we already have Walmart's dominating every end of the city (and not just mine)

Hate living in the UK.

Brb like 7-8 flavours of Ben and jerrys, no pumpkin pie Oreos (obviously seasonal), no red velvet...

All we get is double stuff and normal.

There are quite a few Ben and Jerry ice cream I would love to try. Perhaps I'll look online and see if any UK retailers have the goods.

Aren't target and wal-mart owned by the same company? We have a billion of both and side-by-side down here.

I noticed that when I ventured south.
If they have the same owner that is news to me.

Target failed pretty bad up here, in my city there are 5 Walmarts, most of which are now super centres, and only 2 Targets in great mall locations that couldn't keep up business

looked it up and sure enough they just #1 and 2 competitors ha. Apparently wal Mart made a big deal about purposely trying to keep target at bay in Canada.

New TV Show

Ice Cream Hunter

i would not be. Dreyers/Edy's is pretty low grade, people go bonkers over their half fat stuff, but its just a lot of ice cream full of artifical sweetners. no bueno for taste, quality, and their mix-ins lack compared to others out there.

i doubt its the real frozen custard deal. after being spoiled with real custard made in front of your eyes it will be hard to top.

I need to follow your lead Bob. I feel I have too many reduced fat desserts to keep my calories down but have sweeteners / sugar alcohols in them.

I tried a few Edy's and thought it was better than other generic brands but of course nothing special.

The new Haagen Dazs that you mentioned before sounded potentially good. I just wish they would step up their mix-in game

Bob, Have you ever had Meadow's Custard, My wife loves that.

There is 1 less than a mile from my house! Now I want some !

Bob may disown me here, but I have never had a custard other than a very mini serving as a dessert at a restaurant.

When you have the cream of the crop you don't go back

BOOM

I'm visiting NY and CA this summer. Any chains in those states? Especially in San Diego and Manhattan?

I would need a month in manhattan/NYC to hit all the restaurants that looked good. The few I did hit were bomb. Expensive but my GF's parents were buying lol.

Nice. Gonna be my first time in New York. Would really love to visit Little Italy and eat the best pizza/pasta.

Any restaurant you liked the best?

I really liked Blue Hill, but a full list of good spots is there, with a "best pizza" section

I didn't eat any Italian and am allergic to most seafood so I did not get the full NYC experience. Her family knew and preferred the South American or Spanish cuisine which is fine by me I like meat & spice

I dont know of any at all here, maybe in Toronto

There plenty of frozen yogurt & gelato places in TO, but I don't know of any custard joints. I think it's more of an America thing.
I gots US envy.

We have progressed to the Ice Cream Thread !!

best of them all only 12 more cals than regular unsweetened, 5.5g carbs per serve. but really worth it

My unsweetened is 30/cup

But that does look good

I've been having a cashew/coconut blend I like recently

Found this little gem at an upscale grocer here in Richmond, called southern season. Apparently some quality stuff from Atlanta. Figured this might just tickle your fancy chef bob ;)

I've been using cashew milk lately. 25cals and it's by far the creamiest I've had.

Is there a Hazelnut milk yet?
I want one for certain mixes. And I just love Hazelnut anything

Oh yeah. I have seen it. I don't believe it was available in unsweetened which is why I didn't buy it.
