What is your favorite cheat meal?

Honestly I'm by no means a pizza pro but I can make mine better than most I could order or get in a restaurant, bring able to pick every topping amount exactly, cheese type, amount of sauce and spice, etc. is pretty huge

Love spice too and most restaurants won't make it (or most things) hot enough for me

This......
and it is a cheat meal, no point in counting calories, just make a pizza with whatever you want on it and eat it.

Looks Like General Tso's I always thought the golden was referring to the color of the breading. LOL

I have been enjoying pizza more often but when you all cook it do you use a stone or just put it on a pan? I have never made homemade pizza but that sounds like where it is at!!!!

You can pan of Stone, i prefer a stone personally.
Homemade is where it is at, make your own dough and it tastes damn good or get a Trader Joe Pizza dough.

Anyway:

As I continue to plow through the pint the fudge pieces continue to amplify in size, and the fudge filled cups are like mini peanut butter cup size (think truffles in Sea Salt carmel ((Talenti)) but filled with fudge and covered in chocolate). I think I got around almost a dozen in a pint of ice cream, not the mention the large mix-ins of regular fudge. At first I thought i was digging into a pint of Graeter's ice cream due to the amount of mix-ins Private Select threw into this pint. The amount of fudge, and fudge cups really raised the grade on this pint due to the base more of a milk chocolate than the labeled "Rich" chocolate. For 240 calories a serving (14g Fat, 28g Carbs, and 4g Protein) This was a solid pint, and something I would definitely rescoop in the future if I get around to a Kroger.

Grade: B+

So whats your dough recipe?

Pizza Dough?

its not healthy at all man, and i know you count everything in your kcals.

2 TBSP EVOO
1.5 Cup Water
Salt (enhanced flavor)
1 Envelope Dry Yeast
1 Tsp Sugar (helps with flavor)
3.5-4 Cups Flour

Add all dry, then slowly add in water and oil with my kitchenaid stand up mixer with the hook attachment (like you see those huge machines in like man vs food or diners drive in and dives)

If not sticky enough (which it should be) then add a touch more EVOO or Flour, if it is too dry add a touch more water it should be a thick ball

then roll dough out on kitchen counter with flour on the counter, put the dough on the flour and roll it out (flour on the pizza dough) will help it rise when baked

should be good for 2 12-14" Pizza's

Nice! Thanks! And im sorta anal when it comes to my cut diet, but my bulk diet is a lot looser!

On a side note, potatoes are freaking filling like mofo! It would be hard to get all your cho from potato source!

Cheat meals are great on cuts too :)
Yes i know this! But my rationale when it comes to cutting and cheat meal is, that if you can make a dish that your craving somewhat healthy why wouldn't you? It would allow you to eat "more" food since its less caloric dense! Don't know about you, but when I'm cutting i don't necessarily crave certain foods, i crave the fullness factor you get when you eat a lot of food!

For me, while cutting, quantity of food beats out quality! As long as its a pretty awesome dish!

Craving a food or not i can always modify that with a lower caloric approach, but nothing tastes as quality or good as the real deal
I implement 1 cheat/week regardless of goal unless the final stretch of contest prep. This is a hobby for 99% of us on here, none of us will ever get paid to track macros or lift weights.

Yes but my thinking is, say for instance ice cream! I would much rather have a quart of edys slow churned ice cream than a measily pint of talenti, b&j, etc! I know it taste different, but like i said eariler, while cutting for me i crave the fullness factor not a certain food!

Just personal preference though.

Edy's is fake compared to the real deal and full of a lot more artificial sweeteners/sugars t.
I would rather have a quality taste, or a legit tasting food then mediocre.
the next day you can eat your pounds of veggies and potatoes if your a volume eater.

Quality > Quantity.

Another reason why i do not eat at chains, expensive for mediocre food.

Well thats your opinion!

Its not opinion its fact. look at the process of how higher end premium ice creams are made compared to low fat or fat free ice creams.
That would be common knowledge bud.
Just like how arctic zero is made compared to real ice cream, and the ingredient profile.

that is like saying you like prop blends better than companies that actually give you legit doses of ingredients.
you pay next to nothing for a prop blend that is low dosed compared to a company that provides you a legit formula and ingredients that match specific doses to pubmed stuides
But like the majority of the population if it tastes decent and they have no clue what they are intaking and its cheap they will buy it.

You get what you pay for.

I gotta side with natty here. I eat for volume, especially when cutting. I enjoy a bigger meal of bland food more then a small one of something rich and exotic. Skipping sauces and butters and high calorie things that make food taste far better is almost a guarantee if I have the choice between those and twice the food.

For instance, I'd rather eat 3cups of broccoli and fill myself up then to have that same amt of carbs and protein from like 1oz of beef and five noodles.

It's all personal preference though. Mentally I don't mind eating boring food and often prefer it. One of my favorite foods ever is just plain, non spiced, grilled chicken breast.

noodles and beef is not a vegetable nor are either a cheat meal.
and if you want to spend a cheat meal eating broccoli, you should check yourself into an asylum for being insane
You could easily eat a few cups of broccoli earlier or later in the day on your cheat meal and still get your 3 cups of broccoli in :)
Cheat meals are not meant to make you full to your stomach, it is meant as a mental relief, a meal not counted, and something you would like to eat, or a meal out with friends or family to help be social instead of sitting and living off your scale which is not going to do us anything in about 5 or so years where we never use it. We can count calories all we want, but is this a practice we will continue forever? I doubt it Especially yourself who will be traveling all the time for your future job, so practicing eyeballing and estimating may be a good thing for yourself.

I was talking about any meal not specifically a cheat. You're totally right about a cheat. It should be whatever but it still needs to satisfy a craving (whether that be taste/flavor or volume).

This is the "Cheat Meal Thread" not "everyday meal thread
Adjust those glasses.

I agree that on a cheat meal I will just eat something I would never eat during my regular meals and I will eat as much of it as I want for that meal. Currently I am doing CBL and don't really have much reason for a cheat meal although I do tend to keep my fats a little lower during the back load. Kind of a mix of CBL and they Biorythm Diet. Still when I am having a Cheat Meal, i do not count fats or anything else for that matter. It is a free for all for short period of time. I eat as much as I like but don't gorge myself like a person with an eating disorder like some people do with cheat meals.

Zing.
Moderation in a nutshell
i do CBL/Biorythm as well, but i still do it for social purposes, i also cook for my family and use that as my cheat meal. Do not count a thing, and it usually is not on the healthy side because my family's two best friends are butter and sugar haha.

I eat a plate, move forward and call it a cheat meal. not trying to eat myself retarded or fill my plate 10 times to feel like absolute hell after doing that and do more harm than good. But like you i leave a lot of room because my first meal or two are lighter due to mostly being P+F and then my P+C meals i can basically replicate anything with how high my kcals are getting, but there are some nice fatty things i do enjoy from time to time that being a pint of ice cream once a week haha

Yes I tried the new Talenti Peppermint Bark last night. Talenti is on sale at Kroger for $3.99 right now which is about $2 off the normal price!

I was a little low on fats for the day so it fit right in my macros after dinner. I have to say I really enjoyed it. The peppermint flavor was excellent however I feel they could have gone with larger chocolate bits and it would have been astounding. Was still very good but I prefer Blue Bells Mint Chocolate Chip to that. Blue bell really puts some nice sized dark chocolate bits in theirs which makes it stand out.

I know this isn't a "nutrition" discussion but I was pretty pleased to find out that the "no fats with carbs" thing was based off of bro-logic and not science. Good to know fat eaten other than MCT's is not typically even available for energy or storage for about 3 hours after eating it. So the insulin release from the carbs eaten with it is long gone by the time the fat is in the blood to be stored. This was an exciting finding for me.
