For me, it is:

1 gram of olive leaf extract
2-3 grams of vitamin C spread out. I also take a teaspoon of camu camu powder for vitamin C and bioflavonoids.
120mg of ginkgo biloba extract
200mcg vitamin K2-MK7
1mg vitamin K2-MK4 - 5x 200mcg doses.
5000iu vitamin D ( I need this amount and it barely brings me into the normal ranges)
Eye complex with quercetin, rutin, bilberry and eyebright.
Multivitamin - this is usually whatever I pick up. Currently it is a cheapo Walmart one. Going to get Orange TRIad after I use this stuff up.

I need to get a probiotic product for convenience, but I make my own yogurt and eat that almost everyday.

How about you folks?

I think that something like this needs to be very individualized based on what health issues a person has, is trying to avoid, or has a family history of.

Mine is probably a lot more extensive than most people's would be, but I'll quantify that by explaining that I have an autoimmune condition, a family history of cardiovascular issues and cancer, and I was involved in a bad accident a year ago and fell into a very deep depression and just completely let myself go in terms of eating like crap, lost a lot of muscle, and gained a lot of fat. There were a few consistent supplements thru that but not many (M-Test, Optimize-T, Epi-Plex, Stress & Anxiety Support). I also had Covid last year and am one of the ones that have suffered dramatic fatigue for months now afterwards and brutal brain fog. So for me, my focus is on dropping a lot of body-fat as quickly as possible and also improving overall health.

My regimen right now is extensive, but keep in mind I'm trying to recovery from an accident that almost killed me and caused a lot of traumatic bone, muscle, and nerve damage on top of having an autoimmune condition and just completely letting myself go for the past year.

Thanks for taking the time to post. I appreciate it. I hope your recovery is going well. I can sympathize and empathize about the post-COVID situation. I am just now getting over my 3rd COVID infection. I am vaxxed and boosted but did not get a 4th booster. I seem to be one of those people who is doomed to get COVID every year.

I need to look into SNS' BP supplement as I have elevated BP and sleep apnea. I am taking a beta blocker now but hope when I finally get my sleep apnea control, I can take something natural to keep it low. I have a CPAP but struggle to wear that ****.

I did not realize SNS has a cardio health formula out. I am going to look into that as well. Looks like it would be a great all-around antioxidant supplement as well.

Thanks again for the detailed response, I truly appreciate it.

I think that Collagen may be okay for hair and skin for people that have a low protein intake in general. I think that if you take in enough quality protein during the day that you may not need collagen specifically for that. But its one of those things where some people may not know until they try it out for themselves.

For example, I have a female friend that says it does noticeably help with her hair and skin; but I wouldn't expect it to for me being that I drink at least 3 shakes per day with 50 grams whey isolate, so I wouldn't think it would add anything in addition to that.

We plan on doing a hair, skin, and nails formula later in the year and we may also do a collagen supplement too; we've been asked for one a few times.

As far as my supplement regimen, its not bad at all honestly. I split my dosages morning and night with meals. Once you get used to it, its not bad at all. I can swallow a handful of pills at a time. The biggest thing is that starting back on that regimen, it took my stomach about a week to get used to it.

I have an autoimmune condition and endocrinology condition, plus the accident last year, and on top of that have a family history of cardiovascular problems including high blood pressure and high cholesterol, and my liver enzymes were up, likely from fatty liver because I've gained so much fat. So everything I'm doing is very strategic.

I actually have a harder time keeping up with my 3x a day stuff like the fat loss supplement regimen I'm doing because I'm great with morning and night dosing but I suck with remember the middle of the day dose haha.

I forgot to include 2 things that I take daily:

Cissus XT (SNS) - https://seriousnutritionsolutions.com/product/cissus-xt/

Algae Oil as my omega 3 source (Natures Way)

For people that do Fish Oil, I would go with NOW Foods Ultra Omega. I used to take that and it was enteric coated so it had less of a fish taste than most others, BUT I hate fish and I missed so many doses bc of it that I switched to NW's Algae Oil because I'll actually take it consistently.

You're welcome. I'm glad to help in any way that I can.

I'm sorry to hear about you keeping getting Covid. I've had it twice that I know of and maybe once that I wasn't sure about. The first time I was the sickest, but the last time the after effects have been brutal - brain fog and extreme fatigue for months. It's been rough.

And thank you. My recovery from the accident has been really tough. It's been the hardest past year of my life both mentally and physically. Physically, the damage was catastrophic in that fist they though I may lose my leg because of the amount of damage to the bone, muscle, and nerves. I was in the hospital for 10 days, wheelchair for 5 weeks, then physical therapy for 6 months 5 days a week, and since then have been trying to learn to walk again properly. The physical part sucks but the mental and emotional part has been worse and I'd sunk in to a really bad depression and just completely let myself go health and physique wise. Hence, the super comprehensive supplement regimen in trying to get things back right.

Blood Pressure Support XT is a great product. It's out of stock at the moment but should be restocked in the next couple of weeks. It's ironic that its so strong that some people have reported not being able to take the full dose of it, especially if they're on blood pressure meds and a lot of people report being able to cut back on their dose of or come off of blood pressure meds - but we can never give medical advice or suggest that. I just mention that part since you mentioned that being part of your goal.

Cardiovascular Support XT was just released last week. It's a great product and like you mentioned, it is a great antioxidant and has a lot of potential benefits outside of just being for cardiovascular health.

I would've listed the formulas for some of the other ones but it was already a long post so I didn't want to turn it into a never ending one haha.

You're taking all of that?!
Yes, I detailed very specifically what I take and why.

People have different priorities and I'm trying to recover from an accident that almost killed me and caused a lot of catastrophic tissue damage, followed by a year's worth of very dark anxiety and depression. During that time, I really let myself go physically and me making an attempt to get back in shape and improve my physical health is kind of a last ditch effort for me to try to work through my depression and improve my mental health as well.

I'm sure that my supplement regimen is more extensive than most people's and I'm sure that its more costly than most peoples, but it goes back to priorities. For the last year, I've ate like crap and I can guarantee you that I spend less money on supplements than I spent on pizza and junk food on a monthly basis.

Some people may prioritize a golf course membership, some may prioritize going out to the club every weekend - for me, I'm a single dad with a special needs daughter and I'm trying to prioritize my health.

I'm sorry if that seems so unreal for some reason.

I took the time to be so detailed in order to answer the OP's question and also in hopes that people suffering from one or more of the issues that I am may find a part of my supplement regimen that may help them.

But to be more precise:

Cardiovascular and Heart Health Supplements:
I had explained in the post that I have a family history of high blood pressure and cholesterol problems, and I already had some issues with these and that was before letting myself completely go last year after the accident. So yes, I've started back taking a pretty extensive regimen of cardiovascular support supplements to try to support overall cardiovascular health and to try to get my cholesterol numbers back right and my blood pressure down.
  • Cardiovascular Support XT
  • Blood Pressure Support XT
  • Cholesterol Support XT (the ingredients themselves as the finished product isn't in yet)
Liver Support Supplements:
My autoimmune condition contributes to my liver enzymes being high anyway and that was before letting myself go after the accident and putting on a lot of fat, so fatty liver is definitely a concern. Right now, I'm in the process of trying to lose a lot of fat to address that and also taking liver support supplements to help the process.
  • Liver Assist XT - NAC, Milk Thistle (80% Silymarin), Curcumin (95%), and Artichoke Extract
  • TUDCA
  • L-Ornithine L-Aspartate - which in my opinion is the most underrated liver support ingredient on the market
Joint, Tendon, Ligament, & Tissue Support:
I'm 44 years old and have led an active lifestyle with my share of injuries through the years plus have an autoimmune condition that when it flares up causes extreme swelling and pain in the connective tissues and tendons and ligaments around pretty much every single joint in my body. On top of that, I got hit by a car last year and broke my shoulder and my leg in 3 places including my tibia snapping and coming out thru my calf muscle. So yes, I take several supplements for this purpose. I answered the OP's question about supplements for general health and antioxidant, but there were a couple of things I didn't mention in this category that I forgot to mention.
  • Joint Support XT
  • Cissus XT
  • Elite Curcumin
  • Recovery Fix (Muscle Addiction) - is amazing for muscle soreness and has been a tremendous help with pain related to learning how to walk again from the accident and also with flareup pain from my autoimmune condition.
  • CurcuPrime Gel (Xtreme Performance Gels) - I forgot to mention this, but I use this on my shoulder and the area of my leg where all the tissue damage and inflammation is.
Cognitive & Mental Health - Mental Focus, Clarity, Concentration, & Memory:
Let's see, where to start on this part - I was first diagnosed with anxiety and depression in 6th grade and have always struggled with it and especially with being able to stay motivated and getting overwhelmed easily. I've always handled it pretty well, but not in the last year - the last year has been the most challenging year of my life and I sunk into a deep depression. That's part of what I'm trying to overcome by focusing on health and supplementation.

In addition, I have ADD (didn't have the luck to have the hyper type, I stay tired and can't focus) and had a concussion and a lot of post concussion symptoms from getting hit by a car. Then, as they were finally seeming to get better, I got Covid and the after effects of Covid for me have been extreme fatigue and brain fog.

So yes, I take several things to help me with stress, anxiety, mental health, and focus:
  • Focus XT (ALCAR, Tyrosine, Choline, Taurine, DMAE, Huperzine, etc.) - mental focus, concentration, memory, motivation
  • Huperzine A 99% - 1 capsule twice per day - memory
  • Gingko Biloba - memory
  • Stress & Anxiety Support (Bacopa, Rhodiola, Theanine, & Sensoril) - this product is great for stress and anxiety to begin with, and a lot of people recovering from traumatic events report a lot of success with it.
  • Inhibit-P - I take this for my endocrinology condition during periods when my prolactin would go up, but I've been using it since I started back on my supplement regimen because it helps me overall feel better and be in a better mood.
Testosterone, Estrogen, etc.
I've talked openly about having a rare endocrinology condition and how its been life altering and have been to multiple specialists and even been used in 2 research studies. I share my experiences in hopes that it will help others. I've long talked about my supplement regimen which is M-Test as a daily use supplement and then I added Optimize-T to it. With my condition, my estrogen levels have always tended to go up when I'm super stressed and depressed, and I would add Inhibit-E in during those times.

Epi-Plex:
I've stated here on AM for years that I use Epi-Plex year round as part of my daily supplement regimen. It's the best thing I've ever used for muscular endurance, which is something I struggle with, not just during my workouts but as part of day to day life because of my autoimmune condition. I slacked off of taking this in the last year just bc I was depressed and the difference was very obvious - just basic day to day stuff was causing muscular fatigue again. Plus, it has some great immune support and cardiovascular health benefits.

Elite Curcumin:
This could fall into any number of categories - joint health, cardiovascular health, or cognitive health. I use it primarily for pain and inflammation, but its other potential benefits are wonderful as well. This is one supplement that I definitely consider a longevity/anti-aging supplement.

Api-Plex (200 mg. Apigenin):
I use this for improved sleep quality and relaxation. It's very hard to sleep when you hurt 24/7 and I've found that this helps with sleep and also that it helps lesser sleep feel like more sleep bc it increases restful sleep. Sometimes I take an additional capsule during the day for relaxation.

Vitamin D:
Similar to what the OP said about himself, I have very low Vitamin D levels and 5,000 IU barely puts me in the low end of normal range. I get an additional 2,000 IU from Cardiovascular Support XT. (My doctor tells me to take 5,000 IU or more per day).

Vitamin C:
It's pretty common for a lot of people to supplement with Vitamin C year round and especially in people that have autoimmune conditions like myself. (My doctor tells me to take 3 grams or more per day).

Vitamin E:
Vitamin E has a lot of overall benefits. (My doctor tells me to take 400 IU per day).

Beta Carotene:
Immune support and eyesight benefits. Both my eye doctor and my rheumatologist tell me to take this.

Algae Oil:
I'm not saying that Algae Oil is better than Fish Oil but I'm saying that its better for me because I hate fish and I have come to accept that I just absolutely will not take fish oil correctly bc of the taste and also it hurts my stomach. Algae oil is more expensive mg. for mg. but I'll actually take it consistently .

I said in my very first post in this thread that a regimen like this thread is about needs to be individualized, and mine is. Not everyone needs to take that extensive list of supplements, but my hope had been that by me sharing mine that people reading could take ideas from it and adapt it to their individual needs.

It's really not that difficult. I put the morning dose and evening dose in one of our pill cases. You can use any type, I use the SNS ones that we have just because its simple and I have a bunch. It equates to a handful with 2 meals a day.

On Sundays, I get the morning and night pill cases done for the week and that takes maybe 10 minutes.

If I swallowed one capsule at a time, it may be a bigger deal but I just throw a handful in my mouth and wash them down.

and what about the kidneys ?
That's a good question and there are a couple of reasons I'm not taking anything for that aspect yet.

We have Kidney Assist XT here and its launching this week, so I could have been using it, but I've held off because if you look at my regimen, I'm doing a pretty high dosed and intensive liver detox regimen for awhile:
  • TUDCA (CEL)
    • 2 caps twice per day
    • Normal dose is 1 cap twice per day
  • Liver Assist XT (SNS)
    • 3 caps twice per day
    • This provides total (2 servings):
      • NAC - 2,000 mg.
      • Milk Thistle (80% Silymarin) - 1,200 mg.
      • Curcumin - 500 mg.
      • Artichoke Extract - 200 mg.
  • L-Ornithine L-Aspartate (SNS)
    • 2 capsules twice per day provides 3,000 mg.
Then I get some additional kidney supportive ingredients in other products.

The way I'm doing this for me personally, I wanted to do a month of the Liver support and detoxification regimen before adding in Kidney Assist XT. I'll start that on this coming Sunday as an add-in and with Kidney Assist XT, there will be two dosage levels - kind of an average general consumer type regimen and then an intensive use regimen that is more geared towards bodybuilders. I'll do the intensive use regimen for the first month and then likely drop back to the regular use regimen after that.

I posted in this thread sincerely trying to be helpful.

The monetary amount that I spend on supplements per month is less than most people spend on hobbies like golf or going out on the weekends.

As for the number of capsules per day, I don't really think much about popping two handfuls of capsules per day. Even for people that have to swallow capsules one at a time, it takes a lot less time to swallow a capsule than it does to chew and swallow a potato chip or a snack.

I spent a year of my life after my accident eating like crap, being depressed, and feeling terrible - now I'm trying to do things to help improve my overall health and ease back into trying to get back in shape.

No one had replied to the original poster and up to this point, still no one else has besides me.

I actually enjoy talking about supplements in general, not just bodybuilding supplements, so I like threads like this.

I've actually expressed dozens of times over the years that as much as I like bodybuilding supplements, my passion is general health and condition specific supplements that can help people by helping improve quality of life issues.

I was glad to reply to the original poster and I typed up a very detailed post and have added a couple of other very detailed replies explaining why I take the things that I take. I realize that not everyone is going to take as many things as I do, but my hope had been that people that were looking for things for certain issues for themselves could gain some insight into it from looking at what I take and it helping them make choices on what to use for themselves.

The very first line of my very first post was:

I think that something like this needs to be very individualized based on what health issues a person has, is trying to avoid, or has a family history of.

As for anyone questioning my sincerity or if this is what I really take - for years I've had people tell me that I should start a thread and detail what I would take if I could take anything I wanted to as a guide for people to know what to take for specific things &/or what I take myself - this is basically the reason I hadn't done that in the past.

I put probably over an hour into typing up my replies and details about them into things in this thread in hopes that it would help people make decisions and selections of their own for themselves and loved ones.

It would take me quite some time to list all of the supplements I take on a daily basis. Many of which have very similar ingredients to what you detailed, while some of them being the exact SNS products you mentioned. I definitely take just as many, if not more though.

Yeah, I just stuff them all in my mouth and call it good. It’s no biggie. God gave us plenty of room in our mouths so we could put everything directly in it that we so desire. He did do a few things on purpose when he designed us.

For the last year, I've ate like crap and I can guarantee you that I spend less money on supplements than I spent on pizza and junk food on a monthly basis.
Dude, people don't realize how much eating out all the time costs! If I don't meal prep lunch and eat in breakfast I can EASILY spend 2-300 a month on eating, and that's me trying to be cheap and easy on the calories haha... I'm not the biggest fan of supplementing yourself to death, but I steroid myself to death so I can't judge.

I didn't read though this thread, but I had no idea there was a cardio product. Everything in there is literally what I buy as single supplements for this purpose. No idea how I missed this.

I'm very allergic to gluten so I have to eat gluten free so my food budget is insane now compared back to when I used to could still eat gluten. A quick and easy grocery store pizza is even 10 bucks.

I don't judge anyone for anything. At least you're understanding - I always get a laugh out of when people that spends hundreds a month on steroids have a smart remark to say to people that spend a couple hundred a month on general health supplements. Or my favorite is when someone has a membership at 2 or 3 golf courses and complains that a bottle of quality supplements costs 40.00.

We just launched it last week. I'm glad that you like the formula.

Check out the thread on it - we did a coupon code and some multi-pack deals in there for people that want to buy a 3 month, 6 month, or a 12 month supply.

Ah, that would explain why I wasn’t aware! Lol. Gonna grab some since it will save me a lot of time and money from buying it all separately.

Yep it's all about priorities and income lol... I'm not huge on "natty" supplements for muscle building as they are usually advertised, even creatine is advertised like people still think it's a damn steroid. But at this point in my life I don't care what people spend money on, you want to spend 200 bucks a month on a test booster that's just gonna give you bacne? Have at it.

Health supplements I'm more forgiving on though, they are expensive but at least they aren't advertised like miracles.... Most of them anyways.

I can't help how other companies market their products and I'm sorry if you feel a negative impression towards and to stereotype all companies and all sports nutrition products based off the advertising done by some companies. In virtually any industry, including the supplement industry, there are companies that sell top quality products and then there are marketing companies that just happen to sell supplements - and who rely more on deceptive ads than quality formulations.

On our end, we are very straight forward about products and ingredients and I put a tremendous amount of time into write ups explaining what the products do and how they do it. I also spend a lot of time here on AM helping answer questions and trying to help people in general learn more about supplements and which products will be right for them.

And on the majority of our sports nutrition products and health series formulas, you can find a lot of positive reviews of people getting real world results.

We don't market products as being like steroids because that's an inaccurate and unfair comparison and also because I wouldn't even want them to be. In the overall scope of people that work out and the fitness community, the vast majority of people that care about their health don't want to use steroids and are looking for the best things that can help them achieve their goals and better physiques safely and naturally.

I'm also very sorry that you feel that way about natural testosterone boosters in general. But the way you phrased that and the insults thrown into it are not very fair in that again, I can't control how other companies do their formulations, pricing, or marketing, but I can say that on our end, we offer a variety of natural testosterone boosters that have great feedback and use many clinically researched branded ingredients that have real world clinical studies done on them showing positive results on increasing both free and total testosterone levels, libido, etc. And most importantly, the real world feedback on those backs it up and you can find many positive reviews and feedback on M-Test, Optimize-T, and Cloma-Plex.

And as far as the comment on people spending 200.00 a month on natural testosterone boosters, a person could stack M-Test, Cloma-Plex, Optimize-T, and Anacyclus XT at full price with no discount code and still wouldn't spend 200.00 a month on them. I understand that you're likely referring to some of the marketing heavy ones, but again, I can't speak for them - but our products are very cost effectively priced and loaded with clinically researched active ingredients at their clinically efficacious dosages and full transparency labels.

You seem to have your mind made up and that's cool, this part isn't to you, but for anyone that wants to read the write ups or see feedback threads on some of these, here are some good links:

Look, don't take it personally, I've been around for a long time and have seen everything there is to offer. I'm not about to air my grievances with the supplement industry with a literal supplement company. That's a pointless argument because anything I said will feel like a personal attack to you lol.

I'd rather keep on moving and be civil with everyone lol

No, I don't take it as a personal attack - I take it as a generalization that you lumped an entire categories with of ingredients and all the companies and products in a particular category together because you stated that you didn't like the marketing that some companies do for their products. I don't like that type of marketing myself and I've spoken out on that many times and have said quite a few times that its frustrating feeling like a supplement company that's trying to compete with big budget marketing companies that just happen to sell supplements.

I can't control what they do - but I can control what we do - and that's that we offer a variety of top quality products at great prices and meet or exceed all GMP requirements in terms compliance, quality testing, etc.

You made a general statement that lumped all companies and an entire category of supplements in together. Your opinion is your opinion and that's valid for you and some of it I agree with, but to present it as fact related to an entire category of products is not true nor accurate. I didn't just say that you're wrong and say something negative towards you - I pointed out that just like there are some ingredients that don't work, there are many that do and are backed by actual clinical studies showing that they do and also that not all great products cost hundreds of dollars per month like you'd said in your post.

My reply was being civil - think about it like this - whatever your occupation is, you wouldn't want someone to go on a message board where you spent time helping people all the time and throw out an insult towards you or your company and saying that everyone that does what you do for a living sucks because of how your competitors choose to market their products if you're doing everything you can yourself to do a great job, help people, and do things the right way.

I hope that makes sense.

Eh, happens all the time, I don't care about it and do what I do. I don't bother defending myself against people's well deserved opinions.

I don't need to speak to prove anything to people. They will come to me via word of mouth and get exactly what they want.

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on that one then.

Because I'm never a fan of stereotyping or lumping others into categories based off of what other people do.

I didn't defend myself against your opinions - I actually agreed about hating the way that some people market products.

What I defended was the facts - that there are clinically researched ingredients that are proven to increase natural testosterone levels and that the best products don't cost 200 per month like you said in your post.

In posting further reading material, I even said that it wasn't directed towards you and your mind seemed made up, but it was for other people that may want to read and research the subject for themselves.

Natural testosterone boosters should not be compared to steroids or prescription testosterone, I say that all the time - because most of the people using natural testosterone boosters are people are looking to avoid and not use steroids or prescription testosterone.

^^^ Telling people reading that all of those products don't work and that they all cost 200 or all give side effects like acne simply isn't true. Me stating that isn't meant negative towards you, its meant to state facts towards people reading this thread now or in the future.

I'm not going to continue to go back and forth over it - this thread has ruined my whole day and stuff like this is why I've been thinking about stopping posting here anymore bc its not worth spending hours going back and forth over stuff like this. Matter of fact, I just deleted the draft I had of a new product intro I was going to do here tonight and will do it elsewhere.

Try not to let these kinds of things get to you, people talk for better or worse we cannot change that. I haven't read the full convo because I cbf, but you seem very genuine and want to help people. You should still post the draft/intro as many people do appreciate the information you provide.

Please know that your insightful and infinitely thorough posts are always just as valuable as your company/products. Don’t let this interaction get the better of you or ruin your day. Some battles are not worth the energy it takes to fight them and we just have to let it go.

Formulation supplements:
Single Ingredient or Simple Formulation Supplements:
I wanted to be very detailed in hopes that the above information can help people.
Incredibly informative! Good stuff here

I've tried that before and it didn't go well for me  I just do them one at a time and take a sip of water. Keeps me hydrated at the least.

Very cool, thank you so much for your time, and for answering all the questions elaborately. I am a student of all this and am very curious and love to learn more of what works with certain individuals and the why behind the supplements they take and of course the effects etc. so people like yourself are much appreciated =) I wish you the continued best on the journey.

Thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate it.

I love the premise of threads like this because I truly enjoy talking supplements - but I hate the way this thread turned out.

I really truly like helping people and I like supplements, the ingredients, etc. and to me, the goal of SNS is to offer top quality products at prices that people can afford in order to help them improve their health and reach their goals.

I'm always glad to answer questions and help people set up their supplement programs or help them set up supplement regimens for their friends or loved ones.

I have tried for a long time to be a very active member here and to contribute to the forum and help everyone here in any way that I can. I've spend many hours each week helping people and trying to contribute to this forum and help keep it going and active. But its become very discouraging here to try to actually contribute and help and have to deal with negative and hurtful comments, but then to turn around and see companies come on here that do zero to contribute to the forum as a community and only pop up to and hype products and bash other companies for sales purposes and then disappear again.

It's also very frustrating and discouraging to have things happen like did in this thread. I spent hours typing up my initial post and being so detailed and then subsequent posts being even more detailed, to then have comments made like were made in this thread. I made those posts in order to try to help people and had hoped to create positive conversation about supplements - because this is a supplement forum and I enjoy discussing supplements.

But instead of it leading to productive conversation on supplements, it led to comments from some seemingly accusing me of lying about what I take and it honestly literally ruined my entire week, including me cancelling the release announcement here for Kidney Assist XT.

I've had people ask me for years to lay out exactly what I take and why and this thread was the first time I ever went into this much detail about it. I had mentioned in other threads that I've been trying to lose fat and been on a pretty intensive supplement regimen for that and have had people ask me to post the regimen that I use myself bc of people being curious of what I was taking myself with my supplement knowledge. I was asked in a thread about this again yesterday, and I used this thread as an example of why I haven't and probably won't.

I truly appreciate conversation with people like yourself (and others here) that actually like talking about and discussing supplements. It's a real passion of mine, but one that admittedly decreases by the week - mostly because of the way that things are on here now days. I wish that there was somewhere left or a way to have ingredient conversations and discussions with like minded people that actually enjoy discussing supplements.

I hear you my friend, it is disappointing and frustrating for all the reasons mentioned. I see that passion in all of your posts, and again I for one very much appreciate all of the effort and time you do put into your posts, and for stepping out and letting us know what you are taking and why. It is all very informational and a chance to gain a lot of knowledge, that we can then apply to ourselves if wanted.

I'm not sure why some are so bothered by another person's supplement regime or other things that another does not really effect anyone negatively.
This is free information and a chance to join a positive adult conversation with another likeminded individual, as it's obvious we all enjoy similar things if you are on this forum particularly, and as you said
"I made those posts in order to try to help people and had hoped to create positive conversation about supplements - because this is a supplement forum and I enjoy discussing supplements."
I wish more had this mindset and we could find the commonality for positive conversation.
anyways I'm preaching to the choir.
At least we can cheer each other on while on transit on the planet, we have too much going on negatively already, so I hope although swayed for the moment by these negatives, you can continue on doing you.

Thank you. I really do try my best and I'm glad that you can tell that I'm passionate about it.

I'm not one that tries to just come on and be like - woohoo - buy this product. I always try to help in every thread that I see that I can, whether it has anything to do with our products or not and I frequently recommend products by a variety of other companies that I like and trust.

And thank you again on the part about being able to gain knowledge and apply it to oneselves - that was a big part that bothered me in this thread was that I started off by saying that I thought things like this should be very individualized and that I knew that most people may not take all that I'm taking - and in the past, I've sucked with taking day to day supplements myself except for a few things - which is why I explained my mindset, my goals, and what I was trying to accomplish by taking the things that I do. My hope had been that people could look at it and see what I do and takes bits and pieces of that to help them target whatever they were trying to in their own lives or had loved ones that were trying to target in theirs.

A lot of people have asked in the past for me to share what I take myself and I hadn't posted it before because I figured it may turn out the way it did; but I'd had a lot of people in the past say they were curious to know what I took or would take myself for certain things because of my knowledge and insight into stuff like this.

This forum gets slower and slower and there are a lot of the same conversations over and over - not that there's anything wrong with that bc I'm always glad to help new people - but when I see threads like this that I think can spur new, positive, or exciting conversation, it excites me because I do really enjoy supplements and discussing them.

I also agree on your last part - each one of us faces so much negativity in our day to day lives and we never know the things that another person is facing and maybe trying to take their mind off of by posting here or having discussions with like minded people. I wish that things here could be more positive and uplifting than negative.

I don't mind the joking and picking around about how many capsules it is bc I have a sense of humor myself, but the insinuations that I'm lying or that's not really what I take really bothered me; as do people taking cheap shots at things and saying things that just aren't true. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and perceptions, but opinions are opinions and facts are facts - not just about supplements but about everything in life in general.

I think I can safely say that the people on this forum really appreciate your contributions. You always post helpful info in threads and I learn a lot from the stuff you share. Also, I really appreciate you listening to consumer feedback and suggestions. SNS is what I wish every supplement company was, a great all around brand with good prices and an amazing selection of staple supplements + new products to try out.

Thank you for your contributions to this board.

Thank you. I really appreciate the kind words.

I always try to keep in mind that the majority of people that may read and learn from threads may rarely, if ever post; and that's why I normally post in a way where I try to explain things clearly because I want to make sure that people can understand it and learn from my posts.

I try to keep in mind that the people that feel the need to post the negative things are the vocal minority, but it can really get frustrating and discouraging. I try to let a lot of things go, but going back to my caring about people being able to read things and get accurate information, that's why sometimes I do explain things and present facts when there are false and derogatory comments made towards certain types of products - because I don't want a person reading something now or in the future to be confused or misled by it. It's normally never anything against the person posting it - its just a distinction between their personal opinion and facts.

As far as the comments directed at me personally insinuating I'm lying about what I take, that just irritates me because I put way too much time into this place and am dealing with way too much negativity in my own life to come on here and have my days ruined by dealing with insinuations and crap like that.

I generally dont post much but I read the board a lot, especially older posts from way back. This site is a treasure trove of info.

About people that are negative, I feel its ok to give criticism as long as it is constructive, but many people dont. They just hone in on what they feel is wrong and never really explain why they feel that way. I think its just a general part of our culture that is influenced by social media usage. We feel we can just post something and that's it, not thinking how the person who it is addressed to may take it and feel about it.

I definitely believe you take all that you wrote you did. I dont see it as extreme or anything. I love supplements and can take anywhere from 10-15 at a given time. I think they help me out a lot, but they also provide me with a sense of peace in that I am doing something preventative in my life to help avoid the health issues that my father and uncles suffered from. ALong with diet and exercise of course.

Have you ever heard of the scientist and transhumanist Ray Kurzweil? His supplement protocol is often a point of ridicule against him, but is logic is that he wants to live long enough to where his life can be extended and if he is going to make it to that point in time, he has to do all he can to make sure the body he is in holds up. Makes perfect sense to me.

On a side-note, well, it is still on topic in regards to this thread... What do you think of citrus bioflavonoids? Stuff like hesperidin and rutin? Are they worth supplementing with long term in your opinion?

I agree. I think that social media has ruined a lot of people's communication skills and that many people have no respect or appreciation for others anymore and would rather pop off with snide remarks than actually be constructive and try to help and explain the reasons for things.

And thanks, I don't see it as extreme either. I know a lot of people that take more general daily health supplements than I do.

I have heard of him but haven't really read up on him, but I can understand and respect the way you explained that he explains that - and most importantly, I don't understand why anyone feels the need to have something negative to say about how much someone takes. If you feel they take something harmful or a product that isn't good - like you said, cool, constructive criticism and helpful suggestions is great; but that wasn't the case here.

So many threads on here now days are reps popping in to say - hey, take this - and not bothering to help the person or explain in any detail why or how the product would be beneficial to people at all; and half the time, it doesn't even have anything to do with the thread, its just spam repping and trying to promote products. I get it, its their job as reps, but its irritating when I get criticized for actually being thorough and detailed and trying to help educate people on the how and why parts of stuff. And its really overall ruined this place for me and took most of the joy out of it.

I do think that citrus bioflavonoids can be helpful and useful - I get Hesperidin in my daily Inhibit-E dosing. I think that Rutin can be good too; its not one that I personally take separately but I do think it can be a good ingredient.

Back to the person you mentioned as a final thought - my thoughts like I detailed are kind of the same - I am trying to get my life and health back on track and lose weight and get healthier after completely letting myself go for about a year after a severe accident.

People act like taking a handful of capsules twice per day is a big deal - no, getting ran over by a car, getting my shoulder broke and my leg broken in 3 places including my shin snapping and coming out thru my calf muscle, almost bleeding to death and almost losing my leg, followed by 10 days in the hospital, 5 weeks in a wheelchair, and 6 months of intense physical therapy 5 days per week, and still trying to learn how to walk again properly while battling severe anxiety and depression and having completely let myself and my health go - that's a big deal. Taking a handful of capsules twice per day is not.

And criticizing or implying I was lying about what I take - as much time as I put into helping people here and being detailed, and after me quantifying it with exactly why I was taking what I was taking and what I've been through that led to it - to imply that I was lying about what I was taking, it takes a lot to actually piss me off, but that really did.

For anyone reading this thread that likes discussing or learning about supplements, I posted a thread for discussion on the MTHFR gene mutation and supplementation for people that have it.

If anyone is interested, here's a link:

Man SNS is one of the only people who lays out reasons and explanations for using stuff in threads. It seems only owners are doing that nowadays (there’s a few other owners who I don’t see as often but seem to be helpful in this way).

I remember before reps were a thing, then when everyone was a rep, and now so many do just pop in threads recommend stuff (even when it doesn’t even seem relevant ???) and then dip. It’s depressing.

I think this thread did help a lot of people though even with the nonsense in the middle…

I've definitely noticed over the years of lurking, that you also give suggestions on others products which is quite honorable.

I definitely geeked out on all you shared again I'm thankful you did and I'm sure there were others lurking and others that are speaking up who got that out of it and it also excited me seeing a general discussion on supplements or someone new looking for insight as well and I'm glad we can on upwards and onwards with positive and uplifting chat.

haha I take quite a lot too, my friends and family all joke about the amount of supplements I can take at a time dependent on certain goals or whatever and I hear you on that amen, think I heard the mic drop =)

This is something ive been thinking about stepping up lately. Ive always been eating real healthy with focus on micronutrients, but as ive grown older it seems im in need of more than what my food can provide me. This is what I take daily that i take for my health and not for getting bigger biceps.
  • D3+K2
  • Omega-3
  • C-Vitamin
  • L-Glutamine
  • Multi-Collagen Peptides (Types I, II, III, V and X)
  • Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Digestive Aid (Strom Sports DigestMAX)
  • Hydration Product (Strom Sports HydraMAX)
As to what I should add to it im not 100% sure. But if my finances support it then these would be the first id add:
  • Muscle Adddiction Recovery Fix
  • SNS Joint Support
  • SNS Cardivascular Support XT
