What Is the Consensus on Casein Hydrolysate?

Do you guys use Casein Hydrolysate? If you do, how do you use it, during or post-workout? Do you drink it between meals? Have you found it to be effective? I have tried it (peri-workout) and I cannot tell the difference between using it and not using it. Am doing something wrong or it is pretty much worthless? Thanks.
 
Usually 25g in the morning and before bed. If i know I am going to be without a meal for a while, like when I was in school or travelling, I would take some right before. Figured at the most it would keep me less catabolic

I have heard that Casein Hydrolysate spikes insulin levels. So if it does and one takes it between meals, what is the benefit of doing it without food?
 
Intra workout with added bcaas is my usual protocol. Sometimes ill use whenever I want to bolster the protein content of a meal or just something to drink/ MAP btw is the version I use and it taste like juice, so its a pleasure to drink especially if your cutting carbs.
 
I've used it intra and post and like it alot but gets costly at 2 scoops so until they come out with bigger jugs, I just get it when it's on sale.
