Finally a thread I feel qualified to post in! Anyhow, 05 Mitsubishi Evolution MR
I did 3" exhaust from the turbo back with high flow cat, Helix intake, JDM MR BV, Zeal Function V6 coilovers, Walboro fuel pump and Dynoflash Ecutek.

Right now I have snow tires on her with the weather we have been having in the Northeast. Car rocks in the snow too!

Sweetness. Always wanted an EVO. Hell there's a lot of cars on my list to own lol
I used to own a 92 Talon TSi AWD

Well i may have the same basic bolt ons(and a few i know no one else has) the nitrous is just till i can afford to do the things i really want.i can say im not the typical f-body owner and me personally i like supras. Over here there are still more mustangs than there are f-bodies but then the ricers are def on top now i think out here. I have respect for any fast car that was done with taste. i dont have any gay graphics on my car. i do plan to do some nice paintwork to it along with serious motor work including a turbo kit that will be fabricated by me and all the suspension i can buy for it. i allready have a nice lightwieght k-member waiting to go in(damn winter). but you know its exspensive and well the budget thing always gets in the way

I always respect a man that does his own fabrication! Glad to see you not falling into the "yeehaw!" crowd.

most people i tell look at me like im full of **** but i wanted to share with you all the cars i had. keep in mind that my mom was not around a lot and thought that buying me things would make up for it.

age 16- 97` Acura TL
age 17- 00` Chevy Camaro v6
age 18- 00` Chevy Camaro Z-28
age 20- 01` Chevy Camaro SS
age 21- 01` Pontiac Trans Am WS6
age 23- No car at all

supersoilder wracked my Z28, i fucked up my SS and my Ram Air got stolen before i moved out here.
its funny sometimes when i think back at all the cool cars i had that i didnt take care of because i always thought my mom would buy me a new one. sucks thats not the way it is anymore.

oh and the Acura and the v6 camaro were traded in.

My 2002 Harley Dyna SuperGlide in front of the World Gym with a cutie I met working out there. hehehe

Sweet. All she needs is a mounted M-60!!! Semper Fi!

yeah, I get plenty of comments on it. People actually ask me if it's a "real" military Jeep...:hammer:
"yeah, sure buddy, The Corps issued it to me..":icon_lol:

Speaking of EVOs... over in Pensacola, a certain car with a new GT42 setup dynoed 826whp. Its the most powerful EVO 8 on the planet. In my backyard. A friend of mine with a Turbo Busa is racing him next month or something.

I'm thinking about the new Mitsubishi Evo X when it comes out. The concept photos are sweet, and I could actually drive it in the winter around here. Right now my summer ride is a 2004 Nissan 350Z Roadster and winter ride is a 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe.

Ive got a 00' loaded eclipse GT. Tein Suspension. ACT stage 2 performance clutch. A turbo for my car is 5500 dollars so i wont be putting that in for a while. Ill probly trade it before i frigin put one in. Im wanting a Mustan Cobra as i love the sound and the look. I just am worried about durability as im having a big problem with that with my Eclipse.

So for those of you with a Cobra hows she maintain?

I've never had any problems at all actually knock on wood, been very reliable, as you get into modding though it gets a little more tricky because the block isn't as strong as everyone claims it to be, i did an entire longblock swap on mine because at 600rwhp i was on the verge of the engine seizing up on me.

All in all though, highly recommended, i went from a BMW M3 to this and i don't regret it one bit, i've had two and the package of performance, looks, sound etc. are the best at thier price point i think. I get twice as many compliments on my Cobra as i did with my Bimmer which wasn't exactly stock either, very flashy but not the in your face type way the cobra is.

Sorry for the ramble, long story short i wouldn't hesitate to recommend one

Considered it (and still am for sound and looks and raw power), but I just cant get passed the whine of the S/C...sooo annoying IMO

I just put a new K&N in my Honda - now all you boys with your suped up hot-rods are in serious trouble:)

BV

Oh, wait, wait - I need to put an enourmous rear wing on my car first, and $10k worth of plastic body panels. THEN, and only then, will I be a true badass:D

True :) The automatic supras are doing quite well for 1/4 mile though. Just as well as any other domestic vehicle anyway.

I've seen the stock I6 handle over 1900hp. Upgraded internals but the block itself handled it fine. The hidden motor being the non-turbo version; like the one in my SC300. Pistons arent quite as strong (but enough for 900hp still) but the rods and crank are identical.

They are quite expensive for an older car, but they are pretty reliable at all power levels, have a very "easy-to-get-to" community, and very rare. Therefore, they are worth whatever the buyer will pay for it.

Marko had his 1520whp Supra for sale a couple months ago. Made that power on a Mustang dyno through a custom TH400. when the car was only making 1200whp or so, he ran a 8.65 @ 165 with stock suspension, full interior, etc including A/C, stereo, etc. Looked like a bone stock car other than the drag-lites and slicks on it.

Question though. What made you go with a blower instead of a turbo? They make turbokits for those Cobras now and they have a much more usable powerband

The twin turbo kits still don't have all the kinks worked out, the Kenne Bell blower i have is tried and true, it was a simple bolt on, and i can run 30lbs of boost + nitrous.

As for the powerband, i have to disagree there, turbos are top end monsters but the torque from a twin screw charger is a beautiful thing. The final reason was, it's pretty much pointless for me to try and pull anymore power out of the engine at this point, there is more than any i would ever need to be honest, any more is just for bragging rights (it basically is at that right now haha)

Oh and blower whine is sexy, scares the living **** out of people

2005 civic and a 1965 mercury pick up with a 400 and 4 barrel. 3 in the tree automatic making a box cover to put some subs under right now. I love older vehicles and muscle cars, but he civic is sooo cheap to run.

2 Suzuki Samurais, 1 with a juiced up 1600cc 16v and the other runs a VW 1900cc diesel converted to run on waste veggie oil, FREE FUEL. I tow the toys with a 2004.5 Chevy crew cab diesel that has an upgraded Allison transmission and The Predator tuning box. I'm in the process of restoring my 1966 Land Rover 88. It'll have a 5.9 litre Cummins with the whole enchilada from Piers diesel, including twin turbos, ZOOM ZOOM.

If you're having durability problems with your Eclipse; don't look at the Cobra. The interior is made out of hard plastic. Little tiny gauges, a badly placed shifter, horrible steering feel, and crappy seats.

How is a turbokit $5500 for your car? One can pick up like a top-of-the-line turbokit for my SC300 for $4500... or even cheaper if you want to build one.
I guess a possible reason is that its a V6.... probably one of the worst turner platforms possible (and being FWD doesnt help either)

Well I'm guessing you havent driven many turbocars then :) Turbos ARE PROVEN in real life and on the dyno, to have FAR more midrange and topend than ANY supercharger... its all about sizing; and most supercharger people don't understand it. Its quite a bit more complicated than a supercharger because of all the options and different frames.

Blower whine is ok; but a screaming turbo that LITERALLY sounds like a jet taking off (using a ported shroud housing that enhances that effect too; some people call them 'whistler housings') just blows it away. I'll see if i can dig up a video.

Mine isnt inside stuff its actual parts. The dude before me had NO idea how to drive stick, or he towed something across country or just dumped the clutch to many times because when i got it a week and a half later i had to have it replaced. Another problem , i was racing a Celica GTS and my intake manifold sucked in. Now since i lowered it my struts squeek like a mouse, i hate it. I love the performance of the car, especially for it bein stock but damn!

Also the reason its so much for my car is because the engine bay is so small and theres hardly no room for it. I can have a custom made kit thrown on for 4500, stock internals can only push 8 lbs of boost but i can manage 300whp outa that. Im not sure what i wanna do really.

thats just it, i could care less about mid to top end, how much top end could i really have any use for? by the time you use that power on the track the 1/4 is already over with, maybe you mistook what i said, its the torque i care about, and a turbo will not match my blower, i guarantee that. Ive had a supra, an STI, and a twin turboed g35, so yes, i have driven a turbo car, and i can honestly say i dont miss it at all.

And again, not to mention i built my entire motor for the same cost as a twin turbo kit would cost for this car

7500 bucks for a turbo kit? i built my entire longblock for that much, the cost to benefit ratio is not there. Not to mention i throw out my max torque at 3000 rpms, ill take my supercharger anyday.

P.S. - do a search for blowzilla on streetfire.net and see what comes up, its plenty loud for me.

2 Suzuki Samurais, 1 with a juiced up 1600cc 16v and the other runs a VW 1900cc diesel converted to run on waste veggie oil, FREE FUEL

THAT's AWESOME!!! I can't wait until I have a garage so I can set that up .

Current Rides:
2005 4Runner w/22inch wheels and other goodies.
2004 Mercedes CLK500
2004 Honda Civic

I've owned several mustangs and chevy muscle cars. I'm considering getting another Camaro (67-69 RS/SS) but haven't found one that got me off the fence yet. I've had a ton of newer sports cars and I'm just bored with the new car market right now. A TT Porshe of SL65 benz would be cool but it's a bit over the top for my lifestyle. Nothing says "Bust your ass with yesterday's class" like a muscle car.
