What age does a bodybuilder peak?

Hey guys.

I was wondering what the ideal age is for a bodybuilder when they are at their best.

I am 30 now and have been bitten by the bug. Big time.

Thinking about going balls to the wall in my attempt to add mass.

I weigh around 200 now. I would like to try for 220-230.

I figure muscle maturity is best at around 35 or so.

If I could hit 230 at 5'9 I think I would have the look I want.

What age can the best physique be attained? (I will add the mass anyway...lol)

Tough to know for sure. I'm 38 and have been changing and adding nicely. Hell, look at Coleman, he's like 42 or something.

there are so many variables its impossible to say .. how long you've been lifting and lifting correctly, how long your diet has been nailed down, how long you've used gear, if you've abused gear

Good to hear. Plenty of time.

I didnt even start working out until 2000 - when I was in my late 50's
I am now 61 and I dont think I have hit my peak yet. Hell Im still growing.
If I'm not lifting weights I sleeping or eating - Im retired....so thats all I do.
Not bragging - just old and lucky!! And thank God for HRT.
