Welcome To Anabolic Minds! Introduction Thread!

Hey guys. 31 and been lifting pretty consistently since high school. I go through phases of being on track nutrition/training wise then coast other times. Looking to step it up to a new level diet and supplement wise.

Welcome brothers!!

Hey fellow lifters,

I have been reading these forums for years and finally decided to make an account and spread some of what I know to the world. I am in the military and have been serving for about 7 years. I started lifting weights recreationally in high school over 10 years ago and haven't stopped since (other than a few years for an injury). I am a CPT and went through the course just to help myself I am not really interested in training people because most people that need a trainer can't perform at the intensity level I like to stay at.

I just started to bulk up trying to go from 192 lbs to 215lbs. I am currently using MusclePharm Mass gainer once a day as a snack and consuming roughly 4500 calories, 200g of protein, 400 grams of carbs.

If you have any tricks to the trade let me know.

Welcome!

Wow, I've been lurking around on this forum for a bit, and first thing I'd like to point out is the AM community feels like everyone here is true brothers. Comparing to forum.bodybuilding.com , everyone isn't always on edge and flaming almost doesn't even seems like it's a thing. Definitely will contribute

Hello everyone. I'm a 38 yr old father of 4. Married but in the doghouse (townhouse 3 miles from home). Spent the last 14 yrs after the army making excuses.
Oct 31st, I was kicked out (for good reason) and almost took my life. After a week in the Looney bin I decided that I could change and I would.
On November 7th (38th bday), I weighed 220 lbs and was almost 34% BF. Now I'm at 184 and in the 17-18 % range. Looking to see if I can get to 12-14% range. Never had a 6 pack (or 4 pack) or a booty. Figured I'd see how close I can get to those as well.
Bottom line, I'm using fitness and diet to give visual ques to what's changing internally, learning deferred gratification and willpower. Finally taking charge and using choice.
Probably way tmi, but this is the first opportunity to let it all go.

Learning allot already...Ready to keep adjusting too see how far I can take this.

Welcome to AM and thanks for sharing the backstory. It sounds as if you made some great life improvements so congrats on your progress. You'll find a ton of knowledge and support on this forum.

Thanks for welcoming me! This community really differs from the other forums I've been lurking in. This is the first I've signed up for, mainly because every thread doesn't seem to turn into a pissing contest.

Thank you all!

Hey I'm JC.
I'm 43 and trying to get my fitness back on track. I played football most of my life right through college and semipro after. Last year I played was 2011. Since then I've moved to another state and had 3 kids including a set of twins(all girls). I also have 2 step kids. So between home and work, the schedule and the stress has destroyed me. Gained weight and fat, I'm always tired etc. looking to get back into full steam ahead.
