Welcome To Anabolic Minds! Introduction Thread!

What a complete waste of time! I really thought that I would be able to get some advice on this forum, but every time I try to post ANYTHING. I'm told that it might contain too many URLs or forbidden words and the post is denied.

You can shove this where the sun never shines. I have better things to do than waste my time.

Hey guys Tarnationify here,

I'm 22 years old and in college right now. I'm trying to learn as much as I can about AAS as I am thinking about starting my first cycle in a couple of months. Several people told me to check this forums out as it's a great place to learn. Looking forward to joining and contributing to the community!

Hello, I'm in my mid-thirties and fat. Yep, I freely admit it. I worked out on a regular basis for about three years and then I had an accident and was knocked out of the gym for a few months. A few months turned in to a couple of years. The next thing you know, I went from 190 and 20% body fat back to 226. (God only knows the bf percentage.)

Right now I have a program I have been using consistently for seven weeks. I've been back at it for about four months and things are progressing. I do need to tune in my diet.

My goal is to get back under 200 (doctor's orders) in the next year, and get in shape to start a police academy in five months. Hopefully some information here will help.

Great goal Mike!
Best of luck with the academy!

Until then, we'd love to help you out sir.
Best idea might be to create a thread letting us know some stats and current diet/progress

But it sounds like you're making strides on your own already, so props to you brother

Hey everybody, I just wanted to introduce myself.

Im a 37 year old male from Norway now living in Sweden. Im a natty who has been lifting since i was 13 years old and i absolutely love it. I was very active on forums from 1998 to 2010 but then i got kinda fed up with it. But now that im approaching 40 i figured i needed to get educated about what natural options there are out there to help me keep my body able to withstand the amount of training i want to do.

From what ive read this is a great forum with alot of good people so im looking forward to start learning. I allready have a thread ready that ill push out soon and hopefully you will help me out there.

I'm a 25-year-old guy from the US. I've been lifting for 2 years now, doing a mix of strength training and bodybuilding. I originally got into lifting to bulk up for contact martial arts.

I'm here to read around and ask questions to help me get to the next level with my physique and strength.

Welcome to AM and thanks for your service.

Welcome to all the new folks! I've been working so much that I haven't taken a moment to jump into our welcome thread for quite some time. For that, I apologize! We love the new blood, new outlooks, and extra brain cells to work together towards solutions and ideas for us and our brothers and sisters.

What's going on y'all, I'm Nash,

I'm 26 y/o and have just entered the strongman lifting world. I love taking my body to it's absolute limit and feel this is the place to find out how to do that. Previous college athlete, 6'8 275 and just want to get bigger.

What's up guys and gals? Old timer here. Use to be big on the boards, but family and jobs have kept me away. New desk job is giving me a little time to get back to what I use to do best!! Glad to be here. Big changes since I joined in 04.
Little about me. 41yo 6 ft 245lbs at the moment. Dropped down to 215lbs for early summer show and vacation. Been working out since I was 15. Got in it cause I was overweight going into high school. Dropped 25lbs and saw how my body reacted to lifting and I was hooked. I've been in the medical field for 20+yrs, so I use to hang out in the medical forum of a lot of different boards. With that being said, I'm willing to offer my opinion to anyone, but that's all it is--well educated opinion.
Thanks to everybody for keeping the board going. I use to admin on a few back in the good ole days, but looks like most of them did not weather the storm. Look forwarded adding my .02 and learning more on all the new products that have come around in the past few years.

Happy to see that '04 join date getting back in on the action, brother!

What is it that you do in the medical field, if you don't mind me asking?

Welcome and welcome back!

I'm a RN that's worked in mainly in ER, ICU, Flight Nurse, and administration. Managing a home health company these days for the pay and the hours. I come and go as I please, so usually work out midday if I'm not on a conference call. Once you get a wife and kids, you gotta find a job that good for their schedules. I use to be a paramedic too, but let my certification lapse once I got in to administration. Don't plan on getting back in the back of an ambulance or helicopter again, so no need to keep it up. I worked with an orthopedic doctor off and on for several years, so I got to know a pretty good bit about bones, tendons, ligaments, joints, muscles, etc. Plus working in all those different areas I've gotten pretty educated on all types on medications. I don't like to put nothing in to my(or my patient's) body that I haven't studied up on. Prescribed or not.
By no way, am I saying that I'm the smartest nurse around, but I know that doctors and nurse practitioners make mistakes. Especially the ones that haven't been doing it long. The bad thing about this is that when people go to the doctor they expect them to know what they are talking about, but most of the time they are just making an educated guess. You wouldn't believe how many times I've seen nurses catch errors that physicians make. Especially the nurses that have been doing it for a long time.

That's awesome, man.

My best friend is a nurse. He's worked in ER and in trauma units, etc. Has given him and the wife a chance to travel the world (lived in HI for 2+ years, quit their jobs to travel for 3 months, and now living in CA). I'm actually in an EMT course right now and have ZERO desire to work in that field, but still may want to go into paid firefighting full-time, so wanted to get that certification done (and even if I don't, a ton of our calls on the volunteer side are EMS assist, so it would be of help there).

Very happy to have someone with your experience back around the board.

Yeah man. Get that EMT cert. Those first responders from volunteer fire dept save a lot of lives. Been on the scene of many wrecks and they help out tremendously. I appreciate your dedication to it. And yes the nursing field has so many varieties in the field itself. If blood and guts is not your thing, you can work in a hospital or nursing home or clinic or home health. My wife is also a RN, and nursing provides us a good lifestyle. We aren't the richest people around, but we are comfortable and that means a lot.

Hey all.
New to bodybuilding. I am a 28 year old male in Maryland. I was a track runner, soccer, and volleyball player. Due to passing of my mother I have had a rough year but I want to get my diet and training correct and live authenticly.

When I was younger, I always wanted to become more massive but due to my lean frame and popularity I have been lying to myself. My mother passed last year and told me to be happy. As of now I don't want relationship or anything but working on myself. I want to improve my lifestyle and mental thought process. I love the majority of my life but physically always have wanted more size.

I have been addicted to the monster size body builders since a young age and instead of idolizing other I want to become my own idol. Also I feel this will benefit my overall confidence in dating and life.

I'm 5'11 approximately 165-175. Guessing 10% body fat. I have been told that I eat bird like due to being picky but I maintain muscle mass well. As I am in my career I want to jump start the gains and bulk up. I am want to be huge and prove that mental reconditioning can improve the quality of life. I want to have to work out to maintain my weight, instead of my diet being horrible or being worried about being called names. Now I welcome it, that means my transition into my destined physical form and I will define what I am by myself.

If your not growing, you're dying.
