Welcome To Anabolic Minds! Introduction Thread!

Good to know! I love me some BBQ. I'm in KY and one of my best friends is at Benning (overseas right now, though). So between that and driving to FL, I'll keep that in mind the next time I'm in GA!

Hello. I am new to this forum and it is also the first forum of this nature that I have been a part of. I am excited to be here and I am motivated to make positive changes in my life. Here is a bit about myself!
My name is Rob. I live in Georgia and work as a restaurant manager. I enjoy punching and kicking as a means of exercise. My personal goal is to lose chest fat and increase my muscle mass!

welcome to the forum bro

Hey guys, I'm Steve, 46 male. I have been training for 25 years. I am always looking for real information on training. I know what really doesn't work but still want to learn more. I was also in the military for a long time.

Welcome to AM, Steve! Happy you found us here and hope you'll stick around. Always nice to have someone on board with the knowledge of that many years of training. And thank you for your service (father in law is retired Army, best friend just went in a few years ago -- lot of appreciation for servicemembers in our family and around my community).

Lol nice on specifying "a real one"

General coaching or contest prep work as well?

Welcome to AM brother

Hello All,

I just joined the forum and wanted to learn more about fitness in general! I've been active my whole life and started working out seriously for the past 3 years.

Excited to learn,
Danny

Thanks bro, i thought it would be thats why came here í*½í¸‰

Your food looks awesome by the way, you have to teach me a few of those recipes haha

You name it I'll make it leaner and tell you how. There's a few great chefs on this board now, The Solution 1-ups me by having a youtube with videos as well, worth checking out

I'll warn you it gets addictive though once you learn to make low cal desserts

Id say it does get addictive, i need to find a few low cal deserts been getting kind of out of shape since my injury and found a bit of a fondness for deserts :/

I should be a quick enough learner though as i worked in catering for a few years, just need to get myself disciplined enough to get my diet back in check, and find a few safe workouts i can do without injuring myself further.

Check out this thread:

Lots of solid desserts in here by our resident chefs (too many to tag all of them, now lol).

Also, the ice cream thread is not exclusively for low cal (in fact, most of it is the high cal stuff lol), but we reference some prep-friendly options in here, too:

Hello All,
I'm nospeakameric, I'm a first timer and live in spain. I have been into fitness for a long time. I hope to find a lot of insightful info here and develop some good rapport with fellow mind-like members.
A greeting!!

Hey everybody, I've been lurking for a while and figured I should introduce myself. My name is Tom, been lifting on and off since highschool but finally had a solid year straight. I look forward to learning more and helping out where I can

Hello Everyone.

39, living train wreck trying to get back to my former self.
Doing ok getting there slowly.
I have a few injuries that I intend to get fixed through rehabilitation.
So be prepared for various questions. Ha.

Hey all,

I'm Rick, 41 y/o from UK with some competitive powerlifting experience and about 20 years in the gym.

Did AAS between 1998 and 2003, but haven't done any since -- although am experimenting with peptides atm.

Here to research.

I also own a supp. company, but will keep it out of the forum, don't worry mods - not here for that.

Welcome to AM bro;).

Hi everyone. Although not totally new I'm somewhat renewed! Have been away from lifting for several years. Back now and recommitted. Looking forward to learning new concepts, supplements, and new community here. Cheers.

HI guys,

I'm 75 years old. I started pushing weights when I was sixteen and I kept at it until I was 25. Then, work just overwhelmed me and I had to give up. Most of the rest of my life I was behind a desk.

I retired at 70, I had got FAT. I was 320 lbs (you'll have to forgive me. I'm European and we work in Kgs and metric, so most of the time when I'm writing, I just use metric weights and measurements - deal with it) I started back at the gym, but no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't lose weight and my progress was abysmal to say the least. After four doctors, and numerous blood tests, I was told there was nothing wrong. I knew there was, because I couldn't get an erection if you paid me. I started doing research and asked doc to check Total and FREE testosterone. He didn't want to do it, but I insisted and also asked for a full range in prolactin, estradiol etc., he looked at my last test and told me that I had a very high testosterone for a man of my age (I was 73 then) and my total T was 487. So why did I want to waste my money, there was nothing wrong. I told him it was because I couldn't get an erection and the fool asked me why a man of my age would want an erection!

Eventually I got the results back. My Total T was just under 500, my Free T was so low they couldn't measure it and my SHBG was way too high. They sent me to a middle eastern endocrinologist? He was reluctant to touch me. After more blood tests he told me that I should get Testosterone injections, but that he couldn't prescribe for me because of my age and my high total T.

Bottom line is I had to self medicate. I'm using a mix of T Cyp and T Enanthate I started on 120 mg weekly, - waste of time. I doubled it and suddenly I started to feel alive again. I lost 45 kgs in 8 months and got my bench press up from 35 kgs to 60 kgs.

I added HCG to the stack, but I'm on pension, so I can only afford 1 IU daily. I've used Arimidex, Aromasin, HCG and even a bit of Deca. After almost 3 years going to the gym and pushing heavier and heavier weights, I'm quite pleased with progress, but I'm far from being satisfied.

It seems that there are people on this board who may be able to answer some of the questions that I have. I also have a lady friend who has serious problems as well, and you may also be able to help me to help her.

Welcome to AM!

Drop those or any other questions in an appropriate sub forum and we will happily help you out brother.

Lots of both intelligence and experience on the board here

Ps. Metric is superior, I will certainly appreciate its use here

Welcome to the forum guys!

Well, I've been on here before, just to browse around stuff. Finally, decided to make an account. But, feels good to be in the best shape I've ever been in. Thanks.
